I went back on my old machine today. Did 38 dozen facings. Raining but warm. Got convicts. One killed.

Real nice today. Merrill broke manure spreader. I had trouble all day with my machine. Only did 34 dozen. Got paint for living room.

Swell day. Real warm. We walked down to Morrison’s store this noon. Made $6.30 today. 42 dozen. Jim & I went up to grange. Not enough kids came for Juvenile grange.

Didn’t work today. I took car to Gouverneur garage. Came home on bus. Coco’s brought me home. Howard took Merrill after car at 5:30. Cost $27.00 Called about floor sander at Lingefelter’s. Wrote Mom.

Mother & Daughter banquet. I didn’t go. Carl & Gloria came about 3:30 & stayed overnight.

Friday the 13th. Nice day. I got flooring at Whites. Brought home sander. Got Fabulon for floor. $6.95 a gallon. Carl & Gloria left about 6:30 AM for Vermont.

Turned cows out for first days. We sanded living room floor & put fabulon on it. 2 coats. We went to Gouverneur in evening but stores were closed. Got letter from Mom.

Merrill sowed first oats. I washed clothes. Uncle Earle, Aunt Keitha, Ethel, & Audrey were here in PM. Jim ate dinner at Howard’s. Turned cows out for first nights.

We went to city. Sally LaBarge & Memory went with us. Got sheets, shades, & white shoes. Merrill bought pulverizers. Carl Allen stayed all night with Jim. Jim had 4-H meeting here in evening. Had work done on car. Shock absorbers & brake cable.
