Rained about all day. Cold. Tore off paper in hall. No Grange. Pomona Grange.

Rained about all day. Baked cookies, cakes, & bread. Merrill went to Gouverneur. Car door isn’t there yet. I went to lodge practice.

Baked cakes. Painted bedroom floor second coat. We all went to Sunday School ice cream social. Cold. S. [?] Band played.

Rode corn planter all day. Finished planting corn. Finished ironing. Pickert, Merrill, & Jim, took Uncle Earle’s planter home.

Hot today. Rebekah’s initiation of five candidates. Merrill & I went to lodge. 87 present. Mary Hall & Leah went to lodge with us.

Still hot. Terrible thunder storms in evening. Dairyland festival parade but we didn’t go.

I worked at church all day. Our circle put on luncheon for officers training meeting. Vern practiced his Sunday School part at 7:00. Went to C. Band in evening.

Jim went to 4-H Rally Day at 8:30. They won first prize. $10.00. Vern went with band to Carthage to Fireman’s convention. Bennett’s were here. Bad storm in evening.

Children’s Day at Sunday School. We all went to it & church. I had sick headache. Aunt Cora & Uncle Charlie were here in evening. Stormed in night.

Muggy & wet. Thunder storms. Papered in hall. Merrill went to lodge. Some of Rebekah’s went to lodge in Canada. I didn’t go. Stormed in night.

Muggy & rainy. Merrill & I took calf to Gouverneur. Mom called to say Edith Barker is very bad. I took Jim to ball practice.

Merrill & I went out to Barkers & to Dad’s. Edith didn’t know us. Jim & I went to Grange. Oren gave Vernon $5.00 for graduation.

Merrill took car to garage. Got a 28 Chevrolet sedan to drive. I went with Past Grands to Club Colonial for dinner & evening. Very nice. Mom’s birthday.

We all went to city. Got Vern’s clothes for trip. Merrill got new work shoes. $6.90. George & Margaret were here in evening.

Finished putting ceiling in hall & trim on kitchen. Flood kids were over. Baked cookies in evening. Washed kitchen curtains.

Raining. Boys went to Sunday School. School picnic at Crystal Lake. Edith Barker died this morning at 2:00 AM.

Graduation. Vern is Valedictorian. Eleanor & Roberta came for it. Mom & Dad are in bed with grippe. Marie Barker called to say Edith Barker died Sunday.

Seniors left at 9:30 AM for trip to New York City. Merrill, Jim, & I, went to Edith Barker’s funeral. Merrill was bearer. Eleanor & Roberta went home. We were up home a minute after funeral.

Had lawn party for church. 28 women & 8 children. Made $8.00. Merrill took hay machinery to Claude.
