W.S.C.S. at Leah’s. I went. 21 out. Home Bureau cake lesson at Josie Langto’s. Good turnout. 17 there. Snowed in evening. Merrill was sick with upset stomach

Very cold all day. 24 ° below zero during night. Merrill got new water pump put on car. Sent for paper for kitchen.

Rebekah cafeteria supper in Legion Hall. Very cold. Sleeting. I made cake for supper.

IOOF installation. I made cake for it. Merrill & I went. Merrill was installed R.S.N.G. to Millard Thompson. Antwerp installed.Very cold. Below zero.

2° above zero today for first time in 3 days & nights. Merrill & I went out home. Took eggs to Manor to ship.

Rebekah’s. I was sick all day. Didn’t go to lodge. Still cold. 28° below zero last night.

Got letter from Uncle Berle. Lettie goes to hospital January 16th. Warmer today. Merrill & I went to adult education & I went to P.T.A.

Vern painted cellar way. Found old Times paper in cracks. Printed in January 1917.

Holly & Sim Austin have baby girl. Merrill & Vern jacked up dining room floor. Made cookies. Nice day but snowy in evening. Jim went up to school to basketball practice in PM.

Washed & ironed. Car wouldn’t start so boys didn’t go to school. Our car got in ditch trying to start it. Jim & I were over to Evelyn’s in evening.

Home Bureau sewing at Dot Allen’s. 10 there. Grand day. Roads a little slippery.

Got paper for kitchen. Tore out cupboard in kitchen. Rained all day. Wrote Mom.

Snow about gone. Colder. Merrill & I went to adult education. 6th one.

Merrill & Vern worked on kitchen. Bennett’s & Gerow’s were here. Ken’s brought out pork.

Boys went to Sunday School. Buddy Bacon came home with them. Nice day but cold. Merrill put new radiator on tractor.

Washed & ironed. Raining. Merrill went to lodge. Wiring in IOOF Hall has been condemned.

Boys start mid-year exams. Raining. I went to Home Bureau sewing lesson at Jean Parker’s. 6 there. Had time getting up Ore Bed Hill. Got letter from Mom. Dad had another heart attack.

Vern’s car insurance runs out today. Very stormy. Rebekah’s entertained IOOF. Was so stormy we didn’t get there. I was supposed to be in kitchen. Got letter from Mother Tryon. Carl is home.

Cold but not stormy. Boys have last of exams. Merrill & I went to adult education classes # 7. Wrote Mom & sent income tax.

Boys only went to school to register. Merrill & Vern changed sink pipes & started cabinets.

W.S.C.S. supper. I went up in PM & helped decorate tables. Very stormy. Men got a lot done on cupboards. Men folks got hair cuts.

Nice day. Boys went to Sunday School. We all went to church. Merrill worked at cupboards.

Gave myself Prom Super. Washed & ironed. Cut out blouse. Merrill went to lodge. Vernon is Valedictorian of his graduation class.

Merrill & I went to Gouverneur with 2 calves. Got suit case for Juvenile Grange. Went to March of Times [Dimes?] basketball game. Jim played. I also went to Home Bureau at Barb Mosher’s.

No Juvenile Grange as not enough kids came. Ken & Eleanor & Roberta were here for supper.

Tore off paper in kitchen. Merrill & I went to adult education. 8th one.

Wrote Melba. Snowy. Juvenile Grange meeting at Calcium but we didn’t go. Roads slippery.

Sent order to Spiegel. Coat & kitchen stuff for cupboards. Merrill & Vern worked at kitchen.

Nice day. Boys went to Sunday School. We all went to church. Boy Scouts attended. We all went up to Aunt Cora’s. Aunt Edna is in nursing home. Talked with Aunt Keitha.

Very stormy. No school because of storm. Merrill went to lodge. Vern got plywood, masonite, & board for kitchen. Canceled Home Bureau sewing lessons.

Washed & ironed. Billy Mattingly came home with Jim to stay all night. Merrill & boys went to Mills after chicken feed. Sent calf to sale with Halls.

I went to Rebekah’s. Merrill went to Wards & Jim went to basketball game.

Started boudoir chair lessons at Fireman’s Hall in PM. Merrill & I & Jim went to adult education to register. Went to P.T.A. We all went to Boy Scout Court of Honor.

Merrill & I took calf to sale. Shopped at Gouverneur. Very cold. P.N. Grands at Delles’ but I didn’t go.

Was 30° below zero last night. We went to city. Vern got picture taken at Rogers. 4-H at Nevilles but we didn’t go.

Boys went to Sunday School. Merrill went up to Lobdell’s after pills for cows.

Washed clothes. Rainy. Merrill went to lodge. I went to sewing Home Bureau lesson at Vi’s. Very foggy coming home.

Very bad sleet storm. Power went off at 6:40 PM. All our trees damaged. Took down wires. Wrote Mother Tryon.

No phone or electricity. Did cooking in furnace. No school.

No school. Beautiful day but no power or phone. Wrote Uncle Berle. Mom & Jim sent letter to Howard.

Power came on about 4:00 PM. Off for 69 hours. Howard & Ceil were here after eggs. Grand day. Got some of brush cleaned up. Boys didn’t go to school.
