Hot & windy. Drawed hay all day. Mr. & Mrs. Cilley & twin boys (3 years old) were here in evening. Rained in evening.

Drawed hay most of day. Very hot. Jack & Ethel Tousley’s baby boy died this PM. I went out to doctors in PM for shot. 2nd one.

We went up to Hall’s camp. Very nice up there & grand day for driving.

Vernon made 2 lawn chairs for Laurence & Jean [Hanson]. Rained hard most of day. 3 accidents in Philadelphia. One on overhead & two on death curve. Merrill & I went over town in evening & delivered P.N.G. gifts.

I went out to doctors for 3rd shot. Stopped at farm at Mills to see if it had been sold yet. Was sick in evening.

Fresh Airs arrive. Helen came for 2 weeks for her 5th visit with us. Age 13 1/2 years. She first came in 1948. I have had horrid headache all day.

Uncle Len, Betty, Grandpa, Mom, Mrs. Elgin (Williams) Black, Mrs. James (Olive) Bowman & son Elgin B, & Mr. & Mrs. David (Leah) Stanley came for supper. Mom, Leah, & Dave, stayed here all night.

Jim, Helen, & I took Mom home & then came back to the doctor (Roberts) in PM. Last visit with him. Got letter OK ing our loan from F.H.A.

Helen B., Vi, & I, went to Gouverneur in AM. Took calf. Stopped at Flossie White’s. Very hot. Washed & ironed clothes in PM & evening.

Night blooming Sirius had 1 blossom on. Very hot & humid. Helen went home on 9:45 train. Vernon finished dressing off hens. Washed bedding on Helen’s bed. Sent cards to Pearl B., Dot, Arlene, & Myrtle Duff.

Merrill, Jim, & I, went to city. Got my new glass put in old frames. $12.00. Rained during night. First in some time.

End of Korean War. Signed treaty. Don’s birthday. We went out home for dinner. Ken’s were there. Also stopped at Bennett’s & told them we’d take the farm.

Merrill finished baling for this year. Have a lot of hay to draw yet. Beulah H, Lois, Carroll, Merrill, & I went to lodge at city. President made her visit.
