Boys went to Sunday School. Merrill & I went out home in PM. Juanita & girls got home. Her folks brought her. Vern finished bathroom.

Washed & ironed. Painted first coat of paint in bathroom. Merrill went to lodge. Grandpa Kiechle isn’t very good.

Brenda is 4 months old. Merrill & I went to Gouverneur. Got shower curtains & curtains for bathroom. W.S.C.S. but I didn’t go.

Grandpa Kiechle died at 4:30 PM. (87 years). Mrs. Palmer died today too. (92 years). Painted bathtub second coat of paint. Merrill played darts in evening.

Stormy. Merrill, Vi, & I, went to city. Got flowers from neighbors for Mr. Kiechle. I went to lodge practice in evening. Slippery.

Ben Kiechle’s 18th birthday. We called at Kiechle’s in evening. Vernon painted hall. I cleaned upstairs.

Vern had ear ache during night. Grandpa Kiechle’s funeral. Merrill & I went. Was quite large. Very nice day. Betty & Uncle Len & Mr. & Mrs. Caird [?] were here in PM after funeral. Boys went to Sunday School.

Merrill & I took eggs out. Mom & Dad came home with us. Grand day. Washed. First parachute jumps today at 8:30. Arlene & Howard Decker have baby girl. Cynthia Lorraine. 8 pounds, 5 ounces.

Initiation at Rebekah’s of candidates. Mrs. Fikes by transfer. Snowed terrible in evening. Saw jumps today. Got home from lodge at 2:00 AM.

Friday the 13th. Mom & Dad, Merrill, Jim, & I went over to Glenn & Clara Wallace’s in evening. Had nice visit. Worked at quilt.

Finished quilt. Had 4-H meeting here. 8 boys & 7 adults. Had movies & ice cream bars & candy. Mom & Dad went over to Uncle Rays to stay all night.

Mother Tryon & Grandpa Haggerty’s birthday. We went to Lowville to Uncle Len’s. Mom & Dad stayed up there. Was storming terrible up there. Merrill went to lodge.

Feel lazy today. Very snowy & slippery in morning. Several accidents in Philadelphia. Greyhound bus almost went in river by school. Vernon went to game at Mills. Philadelphia won.
