Dad Tryon’s birthday. (74 years) I went to program at school. Very good. Is very smoky from fires.

Went to city & out home. Took Don’s canned stuff out. Vernon sold 1/2 case eggs @ $.55 medium. Merrill & I went over to Uncle Ray’s in evening. Mae & Gilson came there.

Boys went to Sunday School. Boys & I went to church. Merrill has terrible cold. Stopped at Uncle Roy’s to tell Mae & Gilson good-bye. Started huck towel.

Washed & ironed. Finished huck towel for church bazaar. Made pop corn balls for church bazaar. Merrill went to Lodge.

Election day. Eisenhower won election by a landslide. I worked on bazaar (W.S.C.S.) at Grange Hall. Made $15.00 on supper & bazaar.

I went to city & gave blood for Red Cross. Aunt Maude, Mr. Klock, Vi, & I gave [blood]. No Juvenile Grange as 4-H had achievement night at school. Doris moved out home from Harrisvile.

Sleepy today. I went to Home Bureau at Edna Fikes in evening. Quick breads. Raining. Dorland & Pat have baby boy. Dennis Vincent.

Snowing. Doris Webb was over after eggs.

Boys went to Sunday School. We drove out home in PM. Mom had gone to Uncle Earle’s. Brenda weighs 12 pounds.

Thanksgiving. We went out home for dinner. No snow on ground but it rained & we had a few snow flurries. Uncle Ray came after Vickie.

Ground covered with snow. We all went to city. Vernon got gifts for Sunday School. Got candy bars. I froze beets & carrots.

W.S.C.S. Xmas party at chruch. I went. We all went to the basketball game. Philadelphia won both games from Theresa.

Took Jim to the dentist. He had 2 teeth pulled. Merrill & I went to Grange.

I went over to see Doris Aynes boy. Nice day. I taught religious education at school to 2nd & 3rd grade. Wrapped Christmas presents & made wreath in evening.

Drill practice at 7:00 PM. I went. Merrill & boys went to game. General Eisenhower, President Elect, is flying home from secret trip to Korea.

We all went to Gouverneur in PM. Martha & Vi went with us. Boys did Christmas shopping. Nice day. Had pop corn & apples in evening.
