Took Jim over for hair cut. Wrote Harry’s mother. I went to Grange in evening but not enough came for meeting.

Awful hot. Drawed hay all day. Lois Carroll & daughters were here in evening. Thunder storms in evening. W.S.C.S. but I didn’t go.

Had picnic dinner in yard. We went to Uncle Earle’s in PM. Drove up to Camp Drum. Stopped at Aynes.

Don, Juanita, & Donna were here all day & evening. We all went on a picnic to the park. Don’s left about 12:30.

Merrill baled & raked. Vern & I weeded garden. Mr. Campbell is in hospital with ulcers. Stanley Watson got hurt at Hardy’s. Fell off [?] house.

Vi & I got permanent at Ace. Mine was $4.00. Raining. Merrill went out home. Beulah & Les were here in evening.

Nice day. We all went to city. Saw Uncle Len & Uncle Earl. Vernon got new shoes. Loafers size 10. $5.90.

Harry, our fresh air, left this morning on the “Bee Liner”. Bill & Vi were here. I went over to Antwerp with Vi to see about band. Martha was here for supper.

Finished haying today. Adlai Stevenson won Democratic nomination last night. Painter starting painting barns. Mr. Miles Whitewashed barn.

We went to Bill & Vi’s camp for picnic dinner. Was over to Lila’s few minutes. Saw Caroline Shelmidine. Bishops were there also. Had nice time.

Washed kitchen woodwork. We moved freezer up in kitchen from cellar. Worked over at church getting things set for social.

Ice cream social at church. Antwerp community band played. Good crowd. Made $35.00. I worked PM to evening. We all went to social.
