Aunt Maude called. They & Uncle Len’s, & Uncle Earle’s went to Uncle Rumsey funeral. I feel pretty good today. Vernon stated archway book cases.

I still have awful cold. Jim was sick & didn’t go to school. Washed & ironed. I’m not feeling so good.

Home Bureau at Doris Webb’s. 3rd lesson on mending. Washed living room drapes. Quarterly conference at church. We didn’t go.

We all went to city. Nice art exhibit at Hotel Woodruff. Vernon painted archway book cases. Sent Uncle Berle birthday card. Sent in $30.22 to heart fund.

I went to Lodge. Was on refreshment committee. Called at Rosbrook’s. We moved kitchen stove because creosote run. Blacked stove & pipes.

Appointment for Vernon with Dr. Kelsey. He had 9 teeth filled. $18.00. I went to Mrs. Rosbrook’s funeral. Church was full. Some standing. So many flowers.

Cold & snowy. Mr. Wendell brought hinges for sewing machine. Vernon put them on. We planned to go to Don’s but didn’t because of the weather.

Esther & Jim Hardy have baby girl. 9 1/2 pounds. Colleen. Washed & ironed. Merrill went to Lodge. Sold 4-H heifer to Leslie Hall. Snowy in morning. Ken & Eleanor have baby girl. Roberta Lynn 8 pounds, 4 ounces.

They called from hospital to say Ken’s have baby girl. Ken called. Merrill & I went out to hospital to see Eleanor.

Got things ready for Grange. Juvenile Deputy attended our meeting. Put on degree. Good turn out. Mrs. Leo Lawler dropped dead at work.

Merrill, Aunt Maude, & I went to Mercy Hospital to see Eleanor & Roberta for the first time. Merrill got rubber boots. Vernon went over to school to show movies. Got Roberta blanket and duck.

Lodge practice. I went. Jim went to birthday party at John Hagler’s. Merrill went to show. Vernon to basketball game. Merrill & I took calf to sale. Shopped at Gouverneur. Vi Mowers has pneumonia.

Merrill’s birthday (43 years). I have charge of dining room for cafeteria supper at church. Made $40.00 or so. Vernon went to basketball game at Lafargeville. I was in to see Mrs. McKeever. Had birthday dinner at noon. Cake & chicken.
