Rained about all day. Jane Kiechle is sick. Merrill, Jim & I went to city in evening. Got Merrill new work frock.

Jim’s 7th birthday. Made him cake. He got cowboy shirt. We all went to show. Drove over to Pat Eggleston’s barn dance.

Went out home after Vernon. Stopped at Mother & Dad Tryon’s. Kind of cool but nice day. Took out birthday cake for Jim for dinner.

Boys & I went to church & Sunday School. Jim got birthday gift from Sunday school. We all went to baseball game. Player broke his leg. Another man had heart attack.

Appointment with Dr. Summa at 8:30. Merrill & I went to city. Got fitted for different glasses for right eye. Got bushel peaches $3.99. Pears $1.99. Rained.

All day W.S.C.S. meeting at IOOF Hall. LaFargeville ladies were present. I went. Washed clothes.

Mom, Dad, & Uncle Berle came for dinner. We all went up to Don’s in afternoon. Uncle Lloyd’s were out to Uncle Ray’s. Kessel went to ball game. First frost last night.

Roy & Marg came about 2:00 PM from trip to Whiteface. Marg & I went to Home Bureau meeting at Grange Hall. Made Vern birthday cake. Gave him book bag.

Roy & Marg left today. Marg & I went over to Lila’s with Aunt Maude. I made visit at school. Merrill finished filling silo at Newton’s.

Merrill & I went to city. Got cloth for dress & shirt. Merrill got pants etc. Got Jim gun & V jacket cap & shirt. Kessel finished at Carl’s. Canned plums, pickles, & tomatoes.

Worked over to church in PM. Went to Lodge in evening. Election of officers. Worked on Dad’s Assessor books. [Arthur Hanson was assessor for many years in town of Lorraine. He needed help because his vision was impaired.]

No school. Conferences. Merrill took boys out home to stay until Sunday. Helped at dinner at church. Vern played in band in morning. I went to Home Bureau at Gwen’s. Merrill went to International Harvester show.
