Washed & did ironing. W.S.C.S. meeting but I didn’t go. Cleaned bathroom. Painted floor.

Cleaned my bedroom. Merrill started fitting ground for first. Vernon & I went to Grange. Mrs. Miller made official visit.

Jane’s first birthday. Washed bedroom curtains. Made cakes. Helped with 4-H Chamber of Commerce supper.

Merrill planted first oats. Broke gear on drill. I went to city in morning & ordered turkeys for banquet. Vi rode to city with me. Rode grain drill in PM.

Jim & I went to city for part for drill. Couldn’t get it. Got Jim hat & gloves (cowboy) Very windy. Got plastic curtains for Mom.

Went out home for dinner. Took Dad 12 bushel oats. Mom liked the curtains. Rained a little in forenoon. Chilly.

Washed clothes & ironed. Baked. Merrill went to Lodge in evening. “Tex” Covigan, the fellow dressed like a cowboy at city died.

Gave out slips for banquet. Went over to Mills after meat. Vi went with me. New band uniforms came yesterday.

Vi & I went to city after turkeys and groceries for banquet. Got home & delivered turkeys. Boys & I went to musical at school. Band wore new uniforms for first time. I went to Lodge after musical.

Mother & Daughter banquet. Good turnout. Everyone seemed pleased with banquet. Fed 125 in all. Got home at 11:00 PM. Rode drill awhile in PM. 19 acres of grain in.

Turned in $52.50 clear on banquet. Vi & I took tables & dishes back to Lodge. Kind of sleepy & tired. Boys mowed back yard for first time this year.

4-H Rally day at Watertown. Vernon was gone all day. Rained. Feel kind of tired today. Have 19 acres of oats in.

Mother’s Day. We didn’t go to church. Mowed lawns & painted picket fence. Men moved brooder house. Warm.

Turned cows out for first day time. Washed & ironed. Merrill went to Lodge. Vernon started lawn chair. They finished work on our road. Rolled it.

Turned cows out for first time at night. Rode grain drill all day. Baked in evening. Beulah Hall had operation.

Grange. Jim & I went. Vernon stayed home & helped Merrill drill grain. 3.5 acres in. Vern & I drilled grain while Merrill did milking. Got card from Aunt Maude from Rochester.

Put yearlings out to pasture. Home Bureau. I made Thelma Hagan birthday cake. Meeting at Helen’s. Mrs. Brown made visit. Earle & Lois White have baby boy.

Fireman’s Parade. We went. Rained. Martha came home from school with boys. Merrill & I went to city.

We all went out home all day. Men helped Dad build fence. Mom & I went down to Uncle Lloyd’s.

Washed clothes. Ironed. Merrill went to Lodge. Vernon is sick with cold. Didn’t go to school. Sent for 2 pair shoes for me & one for Vernon.

Philadelphia evening Home Bureau unit were on the radio. 7 of us were on program. Merrill finished planting oats. 39 acres. Vernon didn’t go to school. Feeling better.

Merrill & I went to city, out home, & Ellisburg. Was over to Dorothy’s. Saw Frederick for first time. Went to Lodge in evening.

Finished ironing. Vernon made umbrella table. Mabel Chapin had shock today. Home Bureau Achievement Day at Pine Lodge. I didn’t go.

Awfully hot. I went to city to Fresh Air Meeting. Got a ticket for parking. Made lawn umbrella.

Baked. Vern painted lawn furniture. Vern played with band at Beach River. They got 2nd prize. $50.00. Got letter from Mother Tryon.

We all went to church. Boys & I to Sunday School. Rainy. Had a furnace fire today.

Merrill & I went to city. Got boys new pants, cotton plaid. Rainy. Merrill went to Lodge. Boys & I went to show. No school. Got new shoes. White & green. Vern got new shoes.

Raining. Went to Decoration Doings. Vern played in band. Didn’t have parade. Uncle Earle, Aunt Keitha, & Grandpa were here in PM. Had radishes & onions from garden.
