Grange. Very nice day. Painted fireplace second coat. We all went to Grange. Cold in evening. Uncle Berle called & wants us to move him tomorrow.

Merrill & I went to Adams & moved Uncle Berle to his new apartment. Dad, Mom & Uncle Lloyd helped also. Mom called & said Basil had 2 pork for us. Gerald Murray, age 7, drowned in Indian River tonight.

Clifford Carr’s cattle auction. Merrill went to it. Special Grange meeting get together. 3 Granges’ visited Philadelphia. Vernon had part in program. Just Vernon went to it. Baked bread, doughnuts, & pies. Had terrible back ache in evening.

Not feeling too peppy but washed clothes & did ironing. Went over to Marsha LaPine’s in PM & fitted pattern. Little Murray boy’s funeral who drowned Thursday evening. Painted fire place second coat of white.

Another grand day. We went out to help Uncle Berle get ready for sale. Got 90 pound of pork from Basil Beckstead. Got sequin necklace set.

Uncle Berle’s furniture auction. Merrill & I went. Was awful cold. Everything sold. Stopped at Beulah’s.

Cut up pork. Fried out fat. Merrill went to barn meeting at Jack McLeod’s. Went to Home Bureau meeting at Lois Ward’s. Started plastic bags. They gave me skirt marker.

Merrill & I went to city after groceries. Got candy for Grange. Grand day. Went over to Helen’s in evening. Took pork to locker.

Another nice day. John & Charles were over & stayed in PM. Helen & Carl were here. Merrill got lumber for Kitchen cupboards. Went to candy party at Leah’s in evening. Nice time.

Very spring like day. Another white frost last night for third night in row. Aunt Cora, Aunt Edna, & Uncle Ed were here for supper. Aunt Cora gave me beautiful handkerchief. Boys & I went to Sunday School.

Merrill moved spice cupboard so have coat closet now. Finished making one cupboard. Arlene B. was here for supper. Snowing.

We all went to Grange. Sent Mother Tryon birthday cards. Merrill put up one cupboard. Snowing.

Painted one cupboard in morning and another in evening. Went to first Bible study club meeting at Mrs. Whiteford’s.

Merrill fixed clothes closet in our bedroom. Baked cakes, doughnuts, & pies. Merrill & Vernon made coat stand.

Saw television for first time at Dickson’s store. We all went to city. Got 3 pair plastic drapes @$1.00. Got white window shades. Got wall paper for boy’s room. Helped with Grange cafeteria supper. Merrill & boys went to show.

Very stormy. Birthday party for Grandpa at Uncle Len’s but we couldn’t go because it is so stormy. Didn’t go to Sunday School or church either. Snowed hard all day. Plow was over.

Awfully cold last night. 18° below. Didn’t wash. Painted cupboards & new woodwork. Merrill went to Lodge.

Quarterly church conference. 2nd plastic bag lesson at Marguerite Beach’s. I didn’t go because it was so stormy. Some of us to get it later. Boy’s didn’t go to school because it is so stormy. Most schools closed but didn’t close Philly.

World Day of Prayer at Congregational Church. 32 there. Still stormy. Merrill went to Lodge supper at Evans Mills. Big crowd. Quite cold.
