Rebekah card party. Nice day. Washed clothes. Merrill helped. Talked with Leah. She’s been sick with cold too.

World Day of Prayer. 36 present. Nice program. I’m not feeling so good today. Kamargo’s called to say they had glass for stove. Went to show. We put our names in barrel. [On stage was an old red barrel where a name was drawn for a prize.]

Baked pies & cake. Finished ironing. Feeling lots better. Had pop corn & apples in evening. Sent for coat & suit for Jim.

Snowing some. Went to church. Vern went to Sunday School. He taught a class today. Vern made fudge.Stayed home in PM.

Had Dr. Draper for Vernon. Mom & Dad & Marg came for supper & stayed all night. I didn’t go to Lodge.

Dr. Draper gave Vern second shot of Penicillin. Mom, Dad & Marg left about 3:00 PM. Jim went home with them. Chamber of Commerce supper at church.

Vernon has been up quite a lot today. Washed & ironed. Merrill & I went to city. Got new mattress & springs. Took 3 calves to sale. Merrill went to Lodge. Mom called to say Aunt Esther is in hospital (General) at Rochester with pneumonia.

Nice day. Jim, Merrill & Carl K was over & got old car. Talked with Lula, Helen, Mrs. Hagan, Aunt Lou, Emma F. & Eleanor H. Vernon feeling quite a lot better.

Gave $1.00 to Red Cross. Elsie Bacon soliciting. Grange. Merrill went. Ruth Hardman showed cancer pictures. Cleaned boys rooms for play room. They started sleeping upstairs. Snowing.

Quarterly Conference at church. Covered dish supper. We all went. Minister’s salary was raised to $1400. 51 present.

Quite cold. I went to Home Bureau at Carrie Dunn’s. Covered dish supper. Got letter from Mother Tryon.

Still cold but nice. We went out to Adams to see about getting Kessel to work. Mother Tryon gave Merrill nice quilt for his birthday.

Took calf out to Uncle Lloyd. He is sick in bed. Aunt Esther went home from hospital yesterday to Reba’s. Mom is with Uncle Lloyd.

Merrill got card from Eleanor. Cloudy but warm. I was sick all night. Still don’t feel so good. Talked with Helen & Aunt Maude. Merrill went to Lodge. Sent card to Mary Stinson. Set electric line poles.

Merrill’s 40th birthday. Washed clothes. Nice day. Did part of ironing. Have terrible back ache. Made Merrill birthday cake.

Merrill went to Floyd Shemel’s to see about papers for bull. Got letter from Mom. Merrill got more birthday cards. I went to Lodge in evening.

Buster & Marie have baby girl. Vickie Ann. Grand day. Sent card to Eleanor & letter to Mom. Went to city in PM. Aunt Maude went with us. I was sick when I got home.

Was in bed all day. Awfully weak. Can’t have only crackers & tea. Was suppose to go to Syracuse today. Eight of them went to Rebekah School of Instruction.
