Stormy. Gave Marg a Toni wave. Talked with several people. Got card from Leah, Juanita, Jim got card from Lorraine.

Did baking. Talked with several peopleabout church doings. Marg & I went over to church to work. Went over town in evening.

Installation at church of W.S.C.S. officers. Had covered dish dinner afterwards. Roy & Marg went home. Stopped at Uncle Rays.

Got new wrist watch from Sears. Washed clothes. Sent cards to Mom, & Uncle Berle. Card & letter to Ken & Eleanor. Went over to Beulah’s & Aunt Maude. Merrill went to Lodge. Talked with Beulah, Aunt Maude, Helen & Mrs. Reynolds.

My first W.S.C.S. meeting as president.

Got letter from Gloria, Mom & Juanita. Went over to Aunt Maude’s & decorated cakes for Grange. Sent our names in to Grange. Talked with Leah.

Went to city. Wrote Uncle Berle, Juanita. Was over to Lilian’s. Talked with Beulah H. Saw Mother & Dad Tryon at city. Also Lois & Arlene Pitkin.

Oren Jr’s birthday. Talked with Helen & Aunt Maude & Edna. Cleaned upstairs. Wrote Marg & Mom.

Real cold. Cleaned floors. Cleaned living room rug. Sent for dial calendar. Sent in Income Tax.

Milk tester came in evening. First time. Nice day. Talked with Helen. Didn’t go to church.

Talked with Aunt Maude, Helen, Lila & Edna. Very stormy day. Milk tester left. Open installation at Odd Fellows Lodge tonight. We didn’t go as it is so stormy & Vernon came home sick from school

Blood tested cows. Lila has baby girl. Talked with Beulah, Addie, Uncle Ray, & Helen. Got letters from Mother Tryon & bill from Dr. Reed for $250 which I don’t owe him. Parachute jumpers on Pine Camp. Warm today.

Started out home but was so icy we didn’t go. Went to Lodge in evening. Awfully cold. Lila named her baby Vickie Lynn. Talked with Aunt Maude & Uncle Ray.

Terrible cold all day. The Grange had a card party tonight but we couldn’t go because of the weather. Talked with Helen, Aunt Maude, Mrs. Ronas, & Leah.

Story day. Very windy. Cora Haley had another operation. Talked with Helen, Aunt Maude.

Lila & Vickie came home from hospital. Went over town & got juice for sunshine box for Cora. Talked with Beulah, Addie, & Helen.

Went out home for dinner. Roy, Marg, Ken, Eleanor, Aunt Myrtle & Uncle Berle were there. Also talked with Helen & Uncle Ray. Aunt Maude went over to Lila’s to stay until Tuesday.

Awfully cold. Water pipes and drain frozen. Vernon got out of school early because of the cold. Wrote Dot & Aunt Keitha.

Washed clothes. Merrill dug up drain. Got letters from Mom & Marg & Juanita. Aunt Maude got home from Lila’s. Went over to Lodge to practice drill.

Got letter from Aunt Keitha. Merrill got drain fixed. Telephone man was here. Talked with Helen, Aunt Maude, Leah, & Beulah. I’ve been sick all day. Went to Grange at night and took 1st & 2nd degree.

Went to card party at Rebekah’s. Boys stayed with Grandpa at Aunt Maude’s. Talked with Helen, Aunt Maude, Leah. Quite stormy during day. Kiechle’s pressed hay down by here at old house.

Clear & cold. Went over to Beulah Halls to make out slips for W.S.C.S. supper. Aunt Maude & Vi went too. Talked with Helen.

Real cold. Wrote Mom. Vernon went to show in afternoon. Baked bread, cake & pies. Talked with Beulah.

I went to church. Leah, Claude & Elmer were here for dinner & supper. Gave Leah Toni wave. Still cold.

Washed clothes. Ironed. Stormy in evening. Talked with Helen, Beulah & Aunt Maude.

Killed pig at Carl’s. Jim & I went over too. Talked with Aunt Maude.

Very stormy. Made lard. Merrill cut up pig. Got a “catch” in my back tonight. Got new truck license plates. Two this year.

Chamber of Commerce supper. No school or no roads. Couldn’t go with milk. Talked with several people about supper.

Snow plow opened our road during night. Talked with Helen & Beulah. Went over to Mrs. Whittakers to plan World Day of Prayer. Awfully cold. Ross Alton’s house burned.

Got card from Mom. Still awfully cold. Merrill couldn’t start truck. Roy K. & Uncle Ray came over & helped start it. Had to have it repaired. Didn’t go with milk. Talked with Helen & Beulah.

Still very cold. Merrill took 2 days milk. Didn’t get around in time for church. Went over to Aunt Maude’s in PM to see Lila & family. Saw Vickie for first time. Aunt Maude & I went up to see Cora Haley. Shot a skunk in the road.

Wrote Mom & Marg. Washed clothes. Did ironing & waxed rug. Merrill went to Lodge in evening. Talked with Aunt Maude, Leah Helen.

W.S.C.S. meeting at Mrs. Dellis. Had good crowd. Got card from Mom. Went to card party at Grange. I won in Pedro. Got plant dish & holder. Talked with Helen, Leah, Aunt Maude & Beulah. Still awfully cold.

Still cold. Went to Grange in evening. Saw others take 1st & 2nd degree. Had refreshments. Did mending.

Still cold. Talked with Helen. Gave myself a Toni wave. Went over to Lodge to practice drill. Talked with Helen & Aunt Maude. Mrs. Suits’ mother died today.

Beulah & I went over to Flossie’s & made out group lists. Talked with Helen, Beulah, Flossie, Addie. Cold. Merrill cleaned stove pipes.

Vi is sick with intestinal grippe. A little warmer but cloudy. Talked with Mr. Kiechle. Baked bread, pies, and doughnuts. Mr. Suits called about Quarterly Conference.

Went to church. Mr. Workman preached. Went up to Aunt Edna’s & Uncle Ed’s in PM. Talked with Beulah, Leone L & Aunt Maude Jimmy was sick all night.

Washed clothes. Aunt Maude came over & spent the day. Gave her Toni wave. Talked with Helen. Wrote Mom. Jim feeling better. Leah called.

Merrill is sick. Milk tester came. I went over to Mrs. Palms & helped tie quilts for Altonis. Talked with Helen, Aunt Maude.

Lodge. Went to city. Got Vernon new suit & pajamas. Got cloth for dress. Went to Lodge in evening. Talked with Aunt Maude, Mrs. Bacon is sick.

Beulah Hall went to hospital. Got letter from Mom. Aunt Maude was over & helped me make dress. Uncle Ray helped Merrill cut wood. Grand day. Warmer. Talked with Helen, Lula.

World Day of Prayer at Congressional church. 25 there. Talked with Lois, Helen, Addie. Stormy day. Raining.

Got letter from Marg, Juanita & Eleanor. Doris & Freddy’s anniversary. (11 years) Leah & Claude are having party for them. Talked with Leah, Aunt Maude, Vi, Mrs. Hagan. We finally got to party but Doris & Freddie couldn’t get there.

Boys & I went to church. Talked with Leah, Aunt Maude. Beulah Hall had operation yesterday morning for cyst.

Mother Tryon’s birthday. Washed clothes. Merrill went to Lodge in evening. Grand day. Washed slip covers. Talked with Helen, Carrie, Lola Bailey.

Talked with Helen & Uncle Ray. Baked bread. Went to practice at Lodge in evening. Nice day but very icy. Spring like day. Light men were here to see about putting up new line.

Grange. Another nice day. Leah, Vi & I went to city. Went to Grange in evening. Had 3rd & 4th degrees. Talked with Leah.

Windy. Chamber Commerce supper at Lodge. Went out home & up to Barkers. Stopped to see Beulah H. when I took pie over. Talked with Aunt Maude & Helen. Raining in evening.
