Merrill put new slat on loader. Put in 2 loads of hay. Went to show in evening. Smoky, very good. Had terrible thunder storms in evening. Went over town after gas & groceries.

Went to church. Took lunch & ate at waterfalls on way out to Dad’s. Saw Barkers on road. Power out at Keichle’s. Pole struck by lightning. Talked with Aunt Maude.

Raining. Kessel came on bus. Talked with Helen twice. Beulah called. Saw in paper Bill has twin girls. Made 28 glasses jam.

Went to W.S.C.S.. Talked with Helen. Talked with Aunt Maude. Took cake over to Keichle’s.

Went to Mercy hospital with Aunt Maude,while Cora H. had operation. Went with Mr. Suits. Milk cooler broke again. Went over to Alice’s in evening.

Helen & boys were over after pie plant. Helen Ramas age 7 came to spend 2 weeks with us. Fresh Air kid. Milk cooler broke again. Washed clothes.

Played with Helen most of time. She never has been on farm. Talked with Helen & Mrs. Hagan. also Beulah & Mrs. Hardy.

Cleaned & baked. Merrill put up swing for kids. Went up on plains for blueberries. Got sand for kids. Got letter from Mom.

Took kids to Sunday school. Went up to Child’s Falls on picnic. Ben went too. Mrs. Keichle called.

Rainy. went to LaFargeville, Watertown & out home. Awfully warm. Talked with Helen & Mrs. Hagan.

Finished ironing. Talked with Helen & Aunt Maude. Took kids swimming. Helen, Esther & kids went.Sent card to Margaret Waters.

Made scalloped potatoes & pie for church supper. Aunt Mildred called. They are bringing Dad’s out on Sunday.

Went huckleberrying. Aunt Maude went too. Men went in PM. Canned 4 quarts. Went to show in evening. First time Helen ever went to show. Raining.

Cold & wet. Only 7 loads of hay in barn yet. Got things ready for dinner tomorrow.

Mom, Dad, Uncle Berle & Aunt Mildred were here for dinner. They stayed at Uncle Rays for supper. We went over to Aunt Maude. Aunt Maude & I went up to see Cora Haley.

Rosie was over. Washed clothes. We all went to Leah & Claude’s in evening. Rained. Talked with Helen.

Rainy & cold. Merrill, Helen & I went to city. Merrill got cross cut saw. Got new telephone book. I took Lila over town in morning. Talked with Helen, Aunt Maude.

Still raining. Merrill went after yearling bull at Shirenel’s. $175.00. Finished ironing.

Helen left at 10:06 AM for home. Jim & I took her to train. Sent card to Don. Went over town. Went to show in evening. Talked with Helen. Stopped at Aunt M’s.

Nice day. Baked cakes & cookies. Merrill ordered cherries. A dirigible went over in evening. Gave myself a Toni wave.

Raining. Went out home for dinner. Was up to Barkers. Also Busters. Stopped at Dad Tryon’s. Leslie’s were there also. Kessel couldn’t come home because of the rain.

Raining & thunderstorms. Merrill went out to Adams after Kessel. Canned pie plant & pineapple.

Washed clothes. Nice day. Men went huckleberrying. Canned 6 quarts & 1 pint pineapple. Wrote Marg.

Men drawed hay. Helen called. Got frozen cherries. $6.50 at Red & White. Kessel’s’ girl friend came in evening. Got letter from Polly P.
