Grand day but cold. Merrill got me box of heart candy. Vernon went over to Ben’s.

Grand day. We didn’t get around in time to go to church. Kids slid down hill.

Not feeling very good. Wrote Marg & Aunt Esther. Aunt Maude called. She is having card party tonight.

Made apron & fixed pants for Jim. Made bread, cookies & doughnuts. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Keichle, Stormy.

Awfully cold. Made Jim pants & shirt. Called Helen.

Terrible stormy. Roads not open until 3:00 PM. Got letter from Mom. No school. Vernon has sore throat. Helen called.

Vernon didn’t go to school as he is still ill. Dad called. Talked with Aunt Maude. Got letter from Marg.

Got card from Aunt Esther. Talked with Helen & Mrs. Keichle. Vernon is broken out with rash.

Cold & very stormy. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Keichle,& Aunt Maude. Unable to go with milk. Vernon has rash. Called Dr. Penhallow.

Washed & ironed. No road until night. Carl K took the milk out with tractor. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Keichle, & Aunt Maude.

Road plugged again. Opened about 2:30. Sent orders & letters. Merrill walked over town. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Hagan, Aunt Maude & Mrs. Penhallow. Carl & Helen got new car. Vernon has been in bed all day. Feeling better.

Kids sent valentines. Went to Lodge in evening. Sent letters & cards. Talked with Helen, Mr. Keichle. Merrill got electric hand drill at mill.

Talked with Helen, Mrs. Keichle, Mrs.Penhallow & Dr. Dwyer, & Esther. Merrill has sore throat. Vern has been in bed all day. Got letter from Juanita.

Aunt Maude called. Kids got several Valentines. Mrs. Keichle called.

I’m not feeling very peppy. Dad called. Talked with Aunt Maude, Helen, & Mrs. Keichle.

We all went to church. Talked with Helen & Mrs. Keichle.

We went out home for dinner. Snowing. Got new curtain material. Went to Lodge to practice.

Got new dress. Vernon went back to school today after being absent 2 weeks. Talked with Helen & Mrs. Keichle.Made bedroom curtains.

I’m not feeling too good. Helen & Mr. Wilson called. Was invited to shower at Vi’s for Pearl B., I didn’t feel like going.

Got letter from Marg. Wrote Florence, & Aunt Esther. Starting to snow again & cold. Talked with Aunt Maude, Helen & Mrs. Keichle. Vernon found Joe Harper’s billfold.

Still stormy. No mail because of holiday. Baked cake, cookies, 3 pies. Had candy corn & apples in evening and listened to radio.

Still stormy. Jim isn’t feeling good this evening. Made bread. Talked with Helen.

Terrible stormy. Jim awfully sick. Temp 104°. Talked with Dr. Penhollow. Vernon didn’t go to school because of storm.

Wrote Mom & Angie. No school because of storm. Had Dr. Dryer for Jim. Said he was very sick. Gave him sulfur. Helen, Mrs. Keichle, Mrs. Hagan, Mrs. Palms & Mr. Suits called.

Talked with Helen, Mrs. Keichle, Mrs. Hagan, Mr. Suits, Cora, Lulu, Elsie, Margaret, Edna, & Madeline. Jim is lots better. Lodge tonight. but I couldn’t go. Sent $2.50 to Journal. Order to Sears.

Still stormy. Jim lots better. Sent card to Mom. Got Montgomery Ward catalog. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Hagan & Aunt Maude.
