Went over town in evening. Got letter from Mom. Took calf to sale. I drove.

Aunt K’s birthday. Tried road test at city. Got letter from Aunt Mildred. Merrill & Bob went over town.

Sent cards to Don & Pauline Pitkin. Got radio tubes (3). Got new telephone book. Went over to Mr. Hagan’s awhile.

Helen called. She took Mr. Hagan down by for a ride & to see the farm for the last time. Got letter form Gloria. Card from Marg. Didn’t pass road test.

Baked pie & cookies & cake. Went over to Mr. Hagan’s in evening.

Went up to Barkers to Marie & Buster’s. Dad’s, and Merrill’s folks. Helen & Carl over in evening.

Washed clothes. I went over town. They started reaping grain. Fellows from Natural Bridge started haying.

Went over town. Sent for silverware to Sears.

Not feeling too good. Have awful back ache.

Tried road test. Got new tablecloth, stuff for chairs. Talked with Mrs. Hagan, & Helen. Raining.

Got silverware. Real nice. Got letter from Angie yesterday.

Didn’t get road test. Sent cards to Mom & Marg.

Orv, Angie & kids were out for dinner. Talked with Aunt Maude & Helen.

Washed clothes. Patty Blanchard was here.

Ironed. Went to W.S.C.S. at Aunt Lou Whitford. Doris Webb was over.

They started threshing at Campbell’s today. Bob worked there. Mr. Hogan went to city today.

Mother & Dad Tryon came on train. Talked with Mrs. Hogan & Helen. Got card from Marg.

Aunt Maude was over. Merrill and B threshed at Webb’s. We went to Natural Bridge in evening. Helen called. Got letter from Mom.

Raining & thunderstorms. Vernon got hair cut. Mother & Dad Tryon & Vernon went over to see Keichle’s garden.

Merrill took Mother & Dad Tryon. home. Aunt Maude & Lila was over. Peggy & Don were married at Lorraine church today.

Washed clothes. Merrill & Bob threshed at Kavanoughs [Hartford] . Helen called. Brought me soap.

Appointment Dr. Kelsey 9:30 AM. Got 7 teeth filled and 1 pulled. $16.00. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Keichle & Mrs. Hogan. Mercer’s combined grass seed.

Wrote Mom & Arlene. Men were away threshing.

Got stuff ready for dinner tomorrow. Went to V-J celebration over town.

Had threshers for dinner. Helen helped me. Starting raining at 3:00 PM so they had to quit.

Rained so they couldn’t thresh. Went over to Mr. Hagans.

Went out home for dinner. Left boys out there. Helen, Earle & kids were over in evening.

Rained. We went to city. Was over town. Dorothy’s shower was today at Marie’s.

Had threshers again today. Helen & boys were here. Cloudy all day.

Washed clothes & ironed. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Keichle & Aunt Maude. Made soap.

Ironed. Talked with Helen. Mr. & Mrs. Keichle & Ben was here. Brought me [?] for soap.

Went out home, to Kens & to Sandy Creek Fair. Got tomatoes $2.00 from Hills. Kids came home. Vernon got bicycle from Wayne.

Canned tomatoes. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Keichle, & Mrs. Carter.

Went to church. Ben was over. Bob helping Carl Killenbeck hay it.

Washed clothes. Talked with Helen. Jimmy is sick with intestinal grippe. Sent order to Spiegel & Sears.

Jim still quite sick. I was taken real sick in evening. Had Dr. Jacobs. Have grippe & appendicitis. Vernon went to fair [with] Ben.

Have been in bed all day. Awful sick to my stomach. Helen & Mrs. Keichle were here.

Vernon went to fair with Ben K. The men worked in woods.

Got up today. Not too peppy. Did ironing. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Carter, Mrs. Keichle.

Bob got through tonight. Got card from Canada from Dot & Dick. Carl K was here. Vernon got new bicycle tires.

Went out home for dinner. Got 2 bu tomatoes.Uncle Ray & Aunt Maude were over in evening.

Jim’s birthday. Made him birthday cake. Had ice cream for dinner. Esther & Jim Hardy moved on farm. Canned 28 tomatoes.

Went up to see Dr. Roberts. Talked with Helen & Mrs. Keichle. Vernon went back to school. 5th grade.

Washed clothes, canned tomatoes & cleaned. Started having supper before chores.

Talked with Helen. Did ironing. Was over to Aunt Maude’s few minutes. Went over town in evening. Sent cards to Mom & Marg.

Grand day. Waxed floors. Vernon went over town after school on bike & got groceries. Went over to Keichle;s for water.

Helen called. Waxed dining room floor. Aunt Maude called. Not feeling so hot.
