Got stove grates. $2.97 C.O.D. Washed clothes. Vernon didn’t go to school as roads weren’t plowed in time.

Dot & Evelyn was down. Got letter from Marg. Sent for grate cogs to Wards. Made cookies.

Got letter from Mom. Baked bread. Warren Ridgeway missing in action.

Our road is plugged. Vernon walked out to the corner. Got bed springs for Vernon’s bed $8.45. Express $2.05. Vernon & Jimmy got first Valentines from Hanson kids.

Got letter from Mary Stinson. Vernon walked out to corner again today. Made ice cream.

Went to city with Barkers. Left Vernon & Jimmy with Mom. First Jimmy has stayed away all night alone. Got dress, bag, scarf.

Terrible stormy. Went over home for dinner. Got Vernon & Jimmy. Plow opened our road today. I went up to Barkers this forenoon.

No school. Washed. Got coal. Merrill is ill. Stomach & bowel upset. Got letter from Aunt Mildred. Got back last letter we mailed Loren. Sent Sept. 11.

Mailed Valentines. Sent $2.50 for Journal & Country Gentleman. Got letter from Florence, Beulah & Valentine from Mary S.

Vernon’s Valentine party at school. Ironed clothes. Cut Jimmy’s hair.

Sent letters to Francis, Angie, & Grandma. Jimmy was sick in the night. I’m sick tonight. Had 2 flashes of lightning & thunder in evening. Real sharp.

Awfully windy. Got dress from Chicago Mail Order. Terrible icy. Feeling better today. Finished ironing.

Sent letters to Marg & Mother T. Baked pies & cakes. Dot was down in PM. Merrill & Vernon went to Lorraine in evening & got hair cuts.

Went over home in PM. Don is home. Quite cold today. Wrote a letter to Beulah in evening.

Got letter from Mother T. Elmer has received medical discharge. Washed clothes. Vernon brought home garden seeds.

Elmer sent us his picture. Baked pies & cookies. Ironed clothes. Shampooed my hair. Merrill’s finger is very sore. He hit with hammer yesterday.

Jimmy & I went down to Marg’s on school bus. Called on Mrs. White. Merrill came after us in evening. Grand day but terrible rain froze on road.

Don takes physical at Syracuse. Icy & rainy. Vernon was ill & didn’t go to school. Buster was unable to get home last night. Marie L. & Dot were down.
