Loraine’s birthday (3 years) Jimmy got new play pen. Sent $13.27 to bank. Buster & Lonny were here. Merrill saw Allen Ramsey. Is home on furlough.

Received letter from Angie. Oren stopped on way to woods. Went to Lorraine in evening. Ran out of gas. Took Vernon over home. Mom has new couch.

Still quite cold. Lonny stopped on way to woods. Finished my ironing. Did bedroom curtains.

Sent letters to Francis, [Hamblin, friend of Oren Jr.] Loren, Aunt Edna, Mother Tryon. I have a cold. Sent a “V-Mail” letter to Francis. First one I ever sent.

Dot, Evelyn & Peggy were here in afternoon. Went to dance at Lorraine. Left Jimmy at Dads.

Arlene & Dot were down. Mother & Dad Tryon’s 38th wedding anniversary. Warm & raining today.

Easter. Went over home for dinner. Aunt Mildred & Uncle Berle were there. Also Angie’s & Grandma’s . Vernon came home. The twins are cute.

Cloudy, rainy day. Sent $5.00 toTimes. Went to Lorraine & Marg’s in evening. Sent $11.35 for battery. Sent box to Loren. Fruit cake, sugar cookies.

Snowed in PM. finished tearing off paper in dining room. Washed clothes. Got Easter card from Loren.

Raining. Vernon went back to school today. Sent for battery & [sent] letter to Ration Board. Evelyn & Hettie R. were here. Painted dining room.

Sent letter to Marg. Dot helped paper part of dining room. Was here for supper.

Got letter from Loren, also Ration Board. Did Jimmy’s wash. Finished papering dining room. Run out of paper. Bill White is home on furlough.

Not feeling too good. Have a cold & sore throat. Rainy. Arlene & Dorothy were down.

Went down to Ellisburg in PM. Stopped over home for supper & evening. Dorothy H. has had operation for appendicitis. Sent letter to her with Mom.

Washed clothes today. Got radio “A” battery $2.89 C.O.D. Nice day. Throat still sore.

Mother & Don were up in PM. Evelyn was here. Nice day.

Tore paper off of small living room. Sent letter to Loren & Ration Board.

We went over to Dad’s in afternoon. Merrill & Dad looked at the Phillip’s farm.

Received card from Beulah C. Mom, Marg & Roy was up in evening. Mom took my wash home.

Went to Lacona for groceries in evening. Wrote to Florence.

Arlene was down in morning. Went to Lorraine in evening.Got Merrill a new work shirt.

Went up to Yerdon’s & had wax on snow. Stopped at Barkers. Merrill moved hen house. Dot was down. She gave Jimmy anklets.
