Church starts at 9:00 AM. We couldn’t get around in time. We went for ride to Gouverneur, Theresa, & Philadelphia. Mary Hall & I went to funeral home in body for Everett Caird. Maurice Wood’s body there also. Very sad.

Got letter from Joan, & June & Vern. 18 Past Noble Grands went to Ace & Anns for supper. I went with Jenny Delles. Nice time. Merrill went to lodge. Hot today.

Hot. In the 80’s. Washed & cleaned. Merrill worked on corn ground. Wrote Jim. Road men took away rest of tree stump.

90°. I got my hair cut at Barbara’s, $1.75. Ironed, washed rugs. Very humid.

Layman’s breakfast at church. Addie K & I worked in kitchen, Lila, Edna, & I in dining room. 18 present. Merrill planted first corn. Finished ironing. I went with Ruth Eggleston to dance recital at city in evening.

I went to city for groceries in AM. Mowed lawns in PM. Merrill planted corn. Grand day.

Wrote Jim. Sent pictures of our road to him. Merrill finished planting com, 11 acres. Got Father’s day card & note from Jim. Very hot.

I went to church W.S.C.S. & Guild officers were installed. Thunder storms in morning. We went for ride to Harrisville & Gouverneur.

Martha Mower’s 19th birthday. Merrill went to lodge. Sent package of cookies to Jim.

Wrote Jim. Cloudy & cool. Got wedding invitation to Carol Dabiew’s wedding. I went to W.S.C.S. at Carrie Thompson’s.

Rainy. Merrill went to Gouverneur wtth Art Hall for ton of lime. Merrill put on door for Hall’s in PM. I made donuts. Got graduation invite for Bob Eggleston. I went to Rebekah’s in evening.

Merrill & I went to city for groceries for IOOF ice cream social. Mowed front lawn. Got letter from Mom.

Wrote Jim. Raining. IOOF ice cream social. Had it in hall. Bobby Buker band played. Made over $100.00 on raffle & social.

Raining. Kenny Rudes & I went to city to get Jim’s pants & 2 shirts. Jack Miller died of heart attack, age 49.

Father’s day. We went out home for dinner. Ken’s were up in PM. Gave Mom pearls for her birthday. We went to Jack Miller’s wake. Spent evening with Clara & Glenn.

Mom’s 71st birthday. I went to city to change Jim’s pants. Went to see Sybil Felt. Got card from Lettie saying Uncle Berle is in hospital, Called Mom. Got letter from Melba. Are coming June 30. Merrill went to lodge. Beulah & Les were here in evening.

Sent Jim pants & 3 shirts. Wrote him & Uncle Berle. Got letter from Jim. Was mailed June 12th. He sent picture taken in Mitz. Washed. Beulah & Les stopped in after supper.

Mowed lawns. Washed rugs & spreads. Waxed living room & dining room floors. Merrill made steps for front lawn. He worked at garage wall. Wrote Melba.

Got things ready for Aldersgate tomorrow. Baked cookies & donuts. Sent Bob Eggleston & Brenda G graduation gifts.

Went to city in AM. Merrill went to Lamphere’s & ordered garage stuff. Ruth Eggleston & I went to Aldersgate. Also Bethany House. Very cold. Had a wonderful, but cold evening. 40°.

Got home about 3:00 PM [from Aldersgate] Blew a tire on way home. A wonderful time at Aldersgate.

Elmer, Melba, & kids were here for dinner & supper. Freddie stayed up for summer.

Merrill mowed first hay. Wrote June & Vern, & Mom. Got card from Lettie. Freddie & I went to graduation. They brought lumber & cement for garage.

Power off in morning. Freddie & I went to city. Got new front tire, $32.00. Got wedding gifts for Carol Dabiew & Paul Hanson. Merrill & Fred put in garage wall in PM. Wrote Jim, & Uncle Berle. Called Mom.

June’s 25th birthday. Hot. We started to bale hay but baler broke. Merrill & Fred took part to Burrville. I went to last lodge meeting for summer. Uncle Rays here in evening. Sent in film.

Got zip code number 13673. Drawed first hay, 192 bales. Merrill & Fred went to Burrville for iron for baler. Sent wedding gifts to Carol Dabiew. Sent letters to camp girls.

Very hot. Freddie & I went to city for groceries. Called Mom. Uncle Berle is improved. Merrill cultivated com. Got letter from Jim. Wrote Uncle Berle.

Paul Hanson was in accident last night. Was to be married today. Still hot. Merrill cultivated corn. Washed. Mowed lawn. Wrote June & Vern. Mom called. I called Aunt Keitha. Talked with Basil.

Very hot. Merrill & Freddie, & I went to church. Freddie & I & Hall’s & Hall’s hired man & girl spent the PM at Crystal Lake. Howard had his boat. I got sunburn.

Elmer, Melba, Mother Tryon, & kids got here about 6:30 PM. Baked donuts, & cakes. Elmer brought 16 quarts of berries. Froze them in evening.

Very hot. Elmer, Melba, & Mother Tryon went to Aunt Cora’s. I kept kids. We all went on picnic supper to Crystal Lake. Merrill didn’t go. Merrill finished cultivating corn.

Cold today. Elmer, Melba, & kids left about 10:30 AM. Merrill baled hay at Hales. Also fixed Art’s silo. Washed sheets & cleaned.

Worked all day. Men baled & drawed hay. I baked cookies & pies. Rather cool. Worked in garden.

Uncle Charles Cross 74th birthday. Sent in Jim’s watch for Freddy. We went out home after Brenda.

First man hurt on road job today. Cooler. Drawed hay from small field by house. Called Aunt Keitha, & Aunt Maude. Got letter from Jim.

Went to Camp Aldersgate. Merrill & Freddie brought Ruth & I up. Have a nice group of girls.

Rained all night & AM. I have such headache. Cold in PM & evening. I didn’t go to evening program.

Cloudy but wanner. I feel better today. Really enjoying camp. Had a surprise parade in evening.

Had a cook out in evening. Also movies. Rained in evening. But warmer. I’m working in candy store evenings. Got letter from Jim.

Wrote Jim. Warm & Sunny for first day this week. I had Discovery group alone today. Drynda Smith’s birthday. Wonderful evening program.

Got home from Aldersgate about 3:00 PM. Anne Myers came after us. A grand week. Men got along fine.

Don & Juanita’s 13th anniversary. Raining. Cleaned. Wrote Jim. Got letter & pictures from Jim. Washed my hair.

Vern & June called. Vern gets Master’s Degree next week. I went to Dr. Roberts. He started me on new pill for cocgx[?] I take It every other day. Washed clothes. Fred mowed lawns. Wrote Mother Tryon & Uncle Berle.

W.S.C.S. auction. Very hot, 81°. I went to Evans Mills for swath board for mower, $6.50. Sent card to Paul & letter to mom.

Sent in colored film. Hot. Drawed hay. I went to Seaway for groceries in PM. Fred, Ruth Eggleston, & I went to Crystal swimming in evening.
