Terrible snow storm all over. Anniversary party for Doris & Glenn & Doris & Freddie at Leah & Claude’s. We had a wonderful time. Got home at 1 :00 AM. Got letter & baggage check from Jim.

Mom called in PM. Snowed all day. I have headache. Kenny Rudes was here all day. Was so nice to have a boy around again. Made us all miss Jim. I took Kenny to Theresa in evening.

I wrote Newark New Jersey Greyhound Depot about Jim’s duffel bag. Beautiful day. Joan was here in PM. Stayed all night.

Got letter from Jim. Beautiful day but cold. Joan’s car wouldn’t start when she got ready to leave. Joan’s folks came up. Klocks took their car to Philadelphia. I went to Margaret Waters to practice for World Day of Prayer. Doris Aynes was here.

Very cold. Merrill & I went out to city for groceries. Mr. Clarke was here about Farm Loan. Doug Flood collected for fireman. I went to lodge in evening. Wrote Jim.

Elmer & Melba’s wedding anniversary. Nancy & Bill Greg have baby boy. Warmer. I went to church. It was voted after church to buy new organ, $900.00. Mrs. Heck will direct chorus & play organ. I went over to Evelyn’s in PM.

Got letter from Greyhound. They have found Jim’s luggage. Wrote June & Vern. Washed & ironed. Minnie Dyer called to say Jennie Mercer 57, was found dead in her apartment yesterday about 1:00 PM.

Ruth & Pat Eggleston’s 34th anniversary. Most beautiful day. Foggy in morning. Wrote Jim, Vern & June, & Uncle Berle. Sent in colored film. Merrill got hair cut. Rebekah’s went in body to Jennie Mercer’s wake. Went to W.S.C.S. at Addie’s afterwards. Mary Hall went with me.

Got letter from Beulah Hall. Sent check for fire insurance, $180.70. Got letter from Jim. Sent in Jim’s income tax. Aunt Maude called to say Aunt Lucy died yesterday.

Nice day. Washed my hair. Margaret Waters called. Wants me to teach fish lesson #1 on Thursday evening at Leah’s. Vi called. Started brown dress.

I didn’t go to church. Mrs. Heck played on organ for first. We went out home. Kids & I made dipped chocolates. Was terrible windy coming home. Could hardly see to drive. Lots of accidents. What snow banks they have at Lorraine. Uncle Ber1e’s birthday.

Philena Buker went to Gouverneur hospital. Past Grands at Addie Klock’s. I didn’t go. Have had headache all day. Sleeted in evening. Brought 2500 pounds of coal. Got Christmas pictures back.

Sent Roberta card & letter. Swell day. Beautiful spring day. I went to Gouverneur for groceries. Got car serviced & washed.

Vi, Bill, Merrill, & I went to city to see To Kill A Mockingbird. Took Fred to Antwerp to get car springs. Got seat belts & grill from club. Wrote Jim.

Thawing. Wrote Jim. I went to church. Roberta’s 11th birthday. Merrill helped Fred put spring in his car. Got Jim’s suit. It’s ready to send him. Wrote Mom & Mother Tryon.

Sent Jim’s package. Suit, 2 shirts, 3 ties, & 2 tie clasp sets, $4.28 to mail. Got letter from Jim. Merrill helped Fred finally get spring put in car. Colder.

Got letter from June & Vern. June has had rash upset. Finished ironing. Waxed kitchen floor. Also baths.

Merrill’s 54th birthday. We went to city for groceries. We went over to Howard & Evelyn’s in evening. I made Merrill a birthday cake.

54° today. We pledged $1.00 a month toward church organ. I went to church. Kenny Rudes & Brenda G were here in PM. Wrote Eleanor, Juanita, & Beulah H. We called Vern & June in evening. June’s rash is better.

Saw first robins in yard. Snow going fast. Eleanor’s birthday. Pat & Ruth E were here & spent the evening. Merrill went to Gouverneur to get seat belts put in. Got letter from Jim. He has been away guarding a plane wreck for five days.

Past Noble Grands night at lodge.Very nice. Gave us pretty handkerchiefs. I have a cold. Washed my hair.

Bill & Vi’s 27th anniversary. Got letter from Jim. Also his picture. I feel punk. Headache. Taught shell fish lesson to Philadelphia unit at Leah’s. Went to 2nd Bible study at Addie Klock’s. Philina & Myrtle came home from hospital.

Debbie Hall’s 10th birthday. We went to card party at Leah & Claude’s. Nice time. Merrill got hair cut. He went up to Gonyea’s.

Glen Salisbury’s birthday. Went to church. We went for ride to Felts Mills. Aunt Cora wasn’t home so we went to Aunt Keitha’s at Brownville.

David’s 9th birthday. Wrote Jim & Mother Tryon. W.S.C.S. at church. Special supper. Vi, Lula, & I, did it. Merrill worked at Gonyea’s. Raining.

Merrill sold truck to Mr. Brown of Gouverneur, $100.00. Coming after it tomorrow. Merrill changed snow treads & washed car.

I went to third Bible study at Addie’s. Sold our truck to Martin Brown, Route 5, Gouverneur. Very windy. Snowed some. Merrill & I went to city for groceries. Got Jim white shirt. Wrote Vern & June, & Mom. Got letter from Jim.

Mary & Charles Hall’s barn burned. Got letter from Jim. Worked on suit. Merrill went to Philadelphia. Got fence posts from Moshers. Wrote Jim, & Vern & June.

Merrill & I went to Carthage. Today would have been Dad’s 71st birthday. Ground covered with snow. I went to lodge. Helen Barbour & encampment from Pulaski were there. Also District Deputy Sirena Sixberry.
