Art & Doris Haggerty have baby boy, Stuart Leonard. 4-H Halloween meeting at Graham’s. Nice meeting, all there but Chris. Graham & Hall kids came trick or treating. Got letter from Dot.

We went to church. Jr. Choir sang for first. Very good. Made candy in PM. Broke up bread for dressing. Terrible windy with rain in evening.

Snow flurries. Merrill got dirt in his eye. LS called-(4 years). I worked at church in evening getting supper stuff ready with Marg M, Vi, & Pat.

Election supper & bazaar in fire hall. Good crowd. Cleared $172 on both. Merrill went to Dr. Joy Edison at Theresa for eye. Sent in film.

Warm beautiful day. Went to Antwerp for eye ointment. Washed church towels. Went up in AM & cleaned up church kitchen. Called Social Security office. Will get $44.00 Social Security. Mom called in evening. I called her back about Nina Weaver.

Home Demonstration at Mary Hall’s. Had cheese lesson. I sent W.S.C.S. evaluation reports yesterday. Nice day. Wrote Uncle Berle & kids.

Got letter & pictures from Jim. I went to city. Got 6X9 brown braid rug, $39.00. Got three pair of beige drapes for living room, $4.97. Got blue work skirt. Merrill plowed.

Wrote Jim. Got back slides of Steven’s birthday & Halloween. Pressed drapes. Cleaned. Washed hair. Have headache. Kathryn Haggerty & SP/5C Charles Green Wilcox married, Norfolk, Virginia.

We went out to Mom’s for dinner. Foggy & rainy. Took Social Security paper out for Mom to sign.

Sent Nancy card. Nice day. Washed. Wrote Dot T. Ironed. Had 4-H meeting at Hall’s. Norma didn’t come. Mary made Norma & I birthday cake. Susan Payne joined 4-H.

Nancy Raymon’s anniversary. Colder. Baked bread & cookies. Eastern seaboard & parts of Canada in power blackout. Agway banquet at Philadelphia but we didn’t go.

Rebekahs first meeting of new officers. I worked at kitchen chairs. 4-H banquet at Brownville, but I didn’t go. Went to lodge.

Finished chairs. Merrill made barn door for Bob Lafave. No mail. We went to church board meeting in evening, family night.

Merrill & I went to city. Got stair runners at Weston’s, $8.00, 288 inches. Put down runner with rods @ 39¢, Mary called in evening.

Vernon, June, & Steven got here about 11 :00 AM. Steven is walking. Started a week ago Thursday, November 4th. They left at 6:30. Got new license blank.

Past Grands here, 15 present. Evelyn D helped me. Lois Hanlon & Martha Brown initiated.

Got letter from Dot Medina. W.S.C.S. at Jean Parker’s. 25 present. Nice time. Got note from Eleanor. David got hurt Sunday & is in hospital. Called Mom. Dave gets home Thursday. Martin Rudes was here. Merrill worked at Bob’s.

Thunder storm during night last night. Cold & windy. Snowing. First snow storm with about 4 inches. Merrill worked at Bob Lafaves.

Snow drifting some this morning. Home Demonstration at Carrie McCrea’s. Good turnout. Roads very slippery. Merrill worked at Bob’s. Snow plow went by for first time this fall.

Snowing some. We went to city. Saw Davy at hospital. He planned to go home in PM. Got rocking chair for Stevie & bed rail. Got underwear & socks to send Jim. Got cards from Gehm’s, Uncle Berle, & Marg. Kenny called in evening.

Got letter from Jim. Sent package to Jim for Thanksgiving. Socks, & underwear, $2.34 postage. Merrill got hair cut. Merrill finished job at Bob Lafaves. Got seven cards & letters. Washed & ironed. Baked.

My birthday. We went to church. Three choirs sang. Cheryl’s choir sang for first time. Kenny, Brenda, & Kim were down for dinner. I went to Thanksgiving service in evening. Foggy.

Foggy all day. Merrill helped Howard on his barn roof. Rev Hutchinson was here in PM.

I went to city for groceries. Got denim slacks, $2.47. Merrill worked on Howard’s barn.

Vern, June, Steven, Mom, & Cindy came for our Thanksgiving. Howard & Evelyn were here awhile in evening. Made pies & cake.

Thanksgiving 1965. Mom, Vern’s, Ken’s, & Don’s here for dinner & supper. Vern went after Don’s & took them home. Don went with Ken’s. Mom talked with Nina Cameron Weaver.

June & Vern went to city for snow tires & Christmas shopping. Steven stayed with us. Nice day.

Terribly wind & stormy most of night. Blew down part of tree by porch. Kids left about 10:00 AM. Got pin from Secret Pal. Called kids. They got home OK.

Snowing hard. Stormed during night. We went to church. Mom went with us. We left her at Uncle Ray’s. Merrill cleaned up trees in yard.

Washed. Terrible storm south of city. Roads closed for 7 hours there. Mom had lunch with Nina Weaver. We went up to Uncle Ray’s in evening for Mom. Wrote Jim, & Dot T.

Nice day. Did ironing. Made vegetable soup. About 5 inches of snow on ground.

Cloudy. I went to Home Demonstration at Ann Hulls in PM. Mom went to Nina’s. Mom & I went to Theresa in evening. Made fried cakes.

Mom & I went Christmas shopping all day. Got pictures from Kessel’s kids. Went to Aunt Keitha’s also. I run into Elmer Gleason’s dog on way home.

Cloudy & rainy. Mom & I went to city for groceries. Mom finished Xmas shopping. We went over to Clara Wallace in PM. Merrill got arch supports at drug store, $8.00. Howard & Evelyn were here in evening.

We took Mom up to Uncle Len’s to visit a few days. Got letter from Jim. He goes to England on January 6th.

We went to church. Mother Tryon & Grace were here in PM. Lisa Ashley called from Aunt Maude’s. Got packages ready to mail to Jim, Uncle Berle, & Beulah Hall. Snowing in evening.

Sent Christmas package to Jim, Uncle Berle & Beulah Hall, Secret Pal. Put up part of Christmas decorations.

WSCS at Parsonage. covered dish supper at 6:30. Very nice time. Washed & cleaned. Had headache all day.

Fuller brush man brought order, new broom, $4.00. Our 30th anniversary. Merrill gave me pearl necklace. 4-H at Debbie’s. Called Vern’s.

Mowers & us didn’t go to Oswego as it was raining & freezing. Didn’t go to church. Called Vern. Finished Xmas cards.

Sent most of Christmas cards. Past Grands Christmas party at Leah’s. I didn’t go for 6:30 turkey supper but went for meeting. Got letter & pictures from Jim. Merrill worked at Howard’s.

We went to city shopping. Saw Arlene B Moore. Got anniversary card & note from Fran. Jenny has fired George. Made fruit cake. Put up rest of Christmas lights on porch.

Decorated cookies. Merrill worked at Howard’s. Got food packages ready to send to Jim & Dot T.

Sent food packages to Jim & Dot. Home Demonstration Christmas party at Ruth Eggleston’s. 9 members, 2 kids present. Nice time. Merrill helped Bob Flaherty fix church roof. Saw return of space men on TV for first time to boat.

Snowing. We finished covering other 2 kitchen chairs. Merrill has stiff neck. First pictures of space ship rendezvous on TV.
