I didn’t go to Home Demonstration at Carrie’s. We went to city for groceries. Mom & Eleanor spent night here on way home from Canada.

Rainy. Kids went over to Hall’s in evening. Vern & June went to communion service at church. Mom & Eleanor left at 10:30 AM.

Wrote Jim. Snowing about all day but melted away by evening.

Easter Sunday. We went out to Mom’s for dinner. 19 of us there. Just Jim missing. Snowing. Uncle Ray & Aunt Maude were down in evening.

The kids left at 8:45. Nice day. Washed clothes. Cleaned. Teresa Hall went to hospital. Merrill has cold. Mary C Hall & Philip were here in evening.

Sent in films of Easter & Steven. Mary L Hall was here. Millicient & I went for walk. Pearl Pitt called to say Geraldine Lavere died last night. She had cancer.

Betty & I went to Home Demonstration dinner at Bethany Church. Mom called in evening. Walked. Raining in evening.

Got part of Easter pictures. Got note from June. Nice day. Baked & washed. Walked. Debbie was over to sew. Jimmy Trombley 18, died of cancer.

Merrill went to city. Geraldine Lavere, 47 years old, funeral at Spencerville. Mom, Eleanor, Roberta, & I went. Eleanor drove. We went to Basils after funeral. Huge funeral. Got home at 6:30. Joe Hack was here.

Wrote Jim, & Vernon’s. Nice day but windy. 4-H at Payne’s. Merrill & I went to city for tractor battery. I got typewriter table with gold stamps.

Fast time begins. Stevie is 6 months old. We went to church. Went to Benton’s for dinner. Went to huge Scout-O-Rama at Camp Drum hanger. Was great show.

Jimmy Trombley’s funeral. I called Laurence Hall. Teresa very bad. Raining. Got letter from Jim, Debbie was over to sew.

I went to city for groceries. I helped on Star dinner put on by guild. 93 stars present. Freddie Aynes went after hay for us to Niles Busler’s.

We finished cleaning yards. Sixberry brought Merrill’s corn, $12.90. Merrill got hair cut. Got 13th milk check, $82.19.

Kim’s first birthday. Kenny & Brenda brought her to church. We went to church. Went for ride to Natural Bridge. Very warm. Halls got home from Florida.

Sent in evaluation blanks. 80° today. Put screens in doors. I went collecting for Cancer Drive. Merrill built fence. Teresa Hall is worse. Debbie was here to sew. Wrote Jim & Vi.

W.S.C.S. & meeting at church with Rev Wilson, New Zealand. Election of officers. Myrtle Duff is new W.S.C.S. President. We went to city. I saw Teresa Hall at Mercy Hospital.

4-H meeting at city. I took all the girls. Collected on Cancer Drive. Got letter from kids.

Home Demonstration at Nancy’s. Her first meeting. Program planning. Jean Custer joined. 8 members, 5 kids present.

Rainy & cloudy. Grass getting very green. We went to Gouverneur for groceries. Got cloth & pattern for slacks. Wrote kids. Pat’s Rock & Roll dances opened tonight. I have headache.

Mill & I went walking. Very hot & muggy. Cloudy. Washed & cleaned. Merrill spread fertilizer on pasture. Sent in pictures.

Mother’s Day. We went to church. Went for ride to Rossie in PM. Merrill had headache. Nice day. We called Mom & Mother Tryon in evening.

Hot. Washed. Had vet for cow. She had twins with goiters. Got new motor for big pump, $30.00. Made slacks. Got letter from Dot. I went to spring musical at Theresa wtth Hall’s.

Cooler today. Finished slacks. Merrill started fitting ground. I went to officer training at Knickerbocker School with Betty G, Nancy R. & Carrie M.

Rebekahs. Wrote Jim. Sent him $20.00. Went to lodge. Went up to Uncle Ray’s. He got M in nose on job. Had 4 stitches. Mill & I went back in pasture for walk.

Turned cows out for first both day & night. Hay all gone. Tractor broke down. Finished ironing. Made tan double knit dress. Home demonstration lesson.

Merrill mowed lawns for first. Frost last night. Got letter from kids. Mill & I went walking & to city for groceries. Carbon Ahon took our tractor to Fry’s. Lanphere brought shingles but they were wrong color.

Beautfful day. We went to Armed Forces doings at Camp Drum. Very good. Fry’s called about tractor. Needs a lot of repair. We went out home in evening.

Hot. We went to church. Slept in PM. Ruth Eggleston & I went to Philadelphia movie in evening. The Castaways. Stormed in evening.

Cloudy & cooler. We went to city. Got straw bag & cloth. I went to hospital to see Teresa Hall. I went to Past Grands at Marguerite’s in evening.

I went to Geneseo College with Ruth & Ann Eggleston, Rosemary Morrow, & Millicient Hale. Got home at 9:30 PM. Grand trip. Got barn shingles. Merrill starting putting them on.

Achievement Day at Bethany Church. I didn’t go this year. Raining. Merrill worked at barn shingles. Canceled Home Demonstration meeting.

Mother & Daughter Banquet. Debbie, Evelyn, & Millicient went with me. Mrs. Wilson was guest speaker. I went down to Raymon’s in morning. Wrote Jim & Vern’s.

Mill & I went walking & to city in PM. Merrill & Carleton went after tractor to Talcott Falls. Got styrofoam picnic basket, $1.17 from Millicient.

Merrill sowed first oats this year. Getting 11 cans of milk. Cloudy. I haven’t taken Sansert pills for two months now. Only 2 slight headaches. I mowed lawns & planted flowers. Washed & cleaned.

Barbecue for Cook fund. I went to church. We ate our barbecues at home. Merrill cut tractor tire back in field. We drove up to Uncle Len’s in PM.

Evelyn was here in evening. She called troopers. Cars almost hit cows, drag racing. Got long letter from Jim. He is on rifle & pistol team. Cut out dress & skirt. Debbie finished 4-H dress. Merrill got new tractor tire at city, $20.00.

Heard on late news last night that Adams Center milk plant has gone bankrupt (United). Made green dress. Debbie was over. Merrill worked at Alton’s on land. Clarence Rudes died.

Wrote Jim. Got letter from kids. Have been on a trip. Norma & Debbie were here. I went to lodge in evening. Washed & ironed.

4-H dress review at Antwerp school. Our group went at 4:00 PM, & 8:00 PM. Rained about all day. Nancy & Charlotte were here in PM.

Betty Haggerty’s birthday. Clarence Rudes funeral. We went. Went to city after groceries. I got beige shoes, $7.99. Finished beige dress.

Martha Jean Haggerty & Thomas R. Roberts wedding at Mannsville Church. We stopped at Mom’s. We went to both wedding and the reception at Lorraine Fire Hall. Mother Tryon, Leslie, & Grace came. Stayed all night.

We went to church. Rev. Hutchinson’s first Sunday here. Wife & son were with him. Folks went to cemetery in morning. We went to Calcium cemetery after church.
