Another great day. 84° and 48°. Juanita called. She is leaving this PM to her sister Judy’s in Ogdensburg for two weeks. I talked with Lyla. Vi called in PM. Roberta called from hospital. Her father-in-law is there with a heart flair up. Things still in an uproar at Ken’s. Ken on anti depressant, Zoroz, plus Aricept. I called Girt S for ride to church. May Myers from our hall is very bad I hospital with blood clot on her brain.

86° and 51°. Warm and a nice breeze. I went to church with Girt Stanton. Jim and Sherri didn’t go. A long day. No phone calls, I listened to book tapes. I made popcorn for supper.

Raining. Much cooler 78° and 6 1°. Hazel Bayle and David Liscom called to make something for RSVP picnic. I talked with Jim at suppertime. He was mopping his floor. Vern called in AM. Steve has a new job at BOCES. He starts next month at Mexico. Steve and Kathy’s house about finished. Rick and Henry have a kite up 270 feet. I sent for 12 piece deep blue towel set to Brylane Home.

A just perfect day. 75° and 46°. Lyla and I spent the day at Ken and Esther’s. Ate lunch with them at the flea market. Ken is p pretty good but he gets more like Merrill each time I see him. (Alzheimer’s) Florence gave me a delicious piece of peach cobbler for supper. Jim called in PM.

A great day again. 79° and 46°. Sue B stopped by and we went out to lunch at Shelby’s. So good to see her. A crow has been found dead from West Nile disease in the North Country. A group of teenagers from Ireland stopped in the city here today on their way to hear the Pope in Toronto Canada. Pope Paul visiting there. He’s 82.

A great day. Till hot and humid. Sherri called for the prayer chain for Carl in Syracuse hospital. Vern called in morning. They would have come up today. Vi called and said she wasn’t feeling good so decided not to come over. Bill fixed my cupboard door that I told Hope about this AM. My cactus started opening about 8 PM. A large white blossom.

Still hot and humid. 85° and 68°. Lee stopped by to see cactus blossom. Also Florence. I started Nielson’s survey this morning for one week. Vi came about 10:30. We ate lunch at Samaritan Keep cafeteria. Spent a couple hours visiting Mary Chamberlain. She can’t move. Just lays there until they turn her. It must be so terrible for her.

Still hot and humid. 84°. I didn’t go to church Nash’s didn’t go. Vern and June got here at 12 noon. I was on the phone with Jim. We went to Bob Evans for dinner. Jim and Nancy met us there on the bike. We stopped at Eckert’s and I got a new pedestal fan. $22.46. Vern put it together for me. June brought 6 more years of my diary.

A nice summer day. 78°. Jessie here to clean. She is doing good. Her husband died of a massive heart attack as they slept. Jessie went back to work last night. We went to store for groceries. I got 12 piece set of blue towels for bathroom from Brylane Home Co. nice. Talked with Jim. Kathy called. Steve likes his new job. They are coming up Sunday after next the 18th. It is in tonight’s Times that Rev. Dick Graves, 68 is dead of cancer in Florida. He is related to the Hanson’s. His wife is Mona (Jarvis). Archie Flemings was his grandfather.

It is in tonight’s Times that Julius Pastor, 79 upstairs died Sunday of heart trouble. Grass fires at Fort Drum on the firing range. They are letting it burn itself out because of ammunition on ground.

Partly cloudy. Cooler. Juanita called about 11 AM. She, Doreen and Tandra were on Pratt Street on their way here. Doreen took us to lunch at Bob Evans Restaurant. We shopped at Kamargo’s, Walmarts, and Crosby’s Big M. A great time together. I got three tops. Also white canvas sneakers. I’m tired tonight. I’m not use to shopping. Darcia has an apartment here in the city. She has two jobs. She will be going to JCC this fall. Doreen is building a two apartment house on her land with the help of her kids and Kyle.

70°. A cloudy day. A few showers off and on. Vern and June, Lydia and Jordan got here about noon. They had been over to the Science Tech building on Stone Street. Vern got us food at McDonalds and we took it to the park for a picnic. The kids had fun playing at the playground. We went through the zoo to see the animals. Lydia and Jordan are cute kids.

Partly cloudy. Breezy. 78° and 52°. Dorothy Kellogg went to hospital at 7 AM with a diabetic attack. I called for prayer for her on prayer chain. I got a beautiful bedspread and pillow from Jolie today. It is so beautiful. Crocheted flowers and lace on white quilt. I called Jolie in evening to thank her for quilt. Zack was home also. Jim called to answer my call to him earlier. May M fell again tonight.

71° and 57°. A nice day. Lyla called. Her back hurts her a lot. May Myers went back to hospital. I started cleaning my bedroom closet but didn’t get very far. General Hagenbeck and the last 120 soldiers of the 10th infantry returned home to Fort Drum this morning from Afghanistan. They flew direct from Germany to Fort Drum in a 727 jet.
