Another great day. 84° and 48°. Juanita called. She is leaving this PM to her sister Judy’s in Ogdensburg for two weeks. I talked with Lyla. Vi called in PM. Roberta called from hospital. Her father-in-law is there with a heart flair up. Things still in an uproar at Ken’s. Ken on anti depressant, Zoroz, plus Aricept. I called Girt S for ride to church. May Myers from our hall is very bad I hospital with blood clot on her brain.

86° and 51°. Warm and a nice breeze. I went to church with Girt Stanton. Jim and Sherri didn’t go. A long day. No phone calls, I listened to book tapes. I made popcorn for supper.

A very hot and humid day. 89° and 71°. Thunderstorm with rain at suppertime. Rained some early this morning. TV Cable off for about n hour because of the storm.

Raining. Much cooler 78° and 6 1°. Hazel Bayle and David Liscom called to make something for RSVP picnic. I talked with Jim at suppertime. He was mopping his floor. Vern called in AM. Steve has a new job at BOCES. He starts next month at Mexico. Steve and Kathy’s house about finished. Rick and Henry have a kite up 270 feet. I sent for 12 piece deep blue towel set to Brylane Home.

A just perfect day. 75° and 46°. Lyla and I spent the day at Ken and Esther’s. Ate lunch with them at the flea market. Ken is p pretty good but he gets more like Merrill each time I see him. (Alzheimer’s) Florence gave me a delicious piece of peach cobbler for supper. Jim called in PM.

A great day again. 79° and 46°. Sue B stopped by and we went out to lunch at Shelby’s. So good to see her. A crow has been found dead from West Nile disease in the North Country. A group of teenagers from Ireland stopped in the city here today on their way to hear the Pope in Toronto Canada. Pope Paul visiting there. He’s 82.

Much cooler. Windy. 71° and 63°. Some rain. Dark day. Thunder. Jessie here to clean. We went to the Big M store. May Myers a little better. She wants to get back home. Her daughter still here from Albany.

A nice day. 82° and 64°. Sunny. Nice breeze. I got a long letter from June. So good to hear from them. I made a “dump it” cake. Jim here on his bike in PM. Nancy is in Florida for two weeks. Sherri called. She has a cataract operation August 1st.

Cloudy. Raining. Humid. We went to church. Thirty world changer kids present. They are working at a house here in the city and at the city park.

Another hot, humid day. 85° and 68°. I washed two tubs of clothes in PM. Vi called. She’s thinking of putting her name in here at Centennial. She’s coming Wednesday to spend the day. It is in tonight’s Times that Jessie Pitcher’s husband Roger died this morning at his home.

Not a bad day. Nice breeze. 79° and 72°. Hazel B called. She and a friend are going to our VIP picnic next Tuesday. I sent Jessie sympathy card and $10.

A great day. Till hot and humid. Sherri called for the prayer chain for Carl in Syracuse hospital. Vern called in morning. They would have come up today. Vi called and said she wasn’t feeling good so decided not to come over. Bill fixed my cupboard door that I told Hope about this AM. My cactus started opening about 8 PM. A large white blossom.

Still hot and humid. 85° and 68°. Lee stopped by to see cactus blossom. Also Florence. I started Nielson’s survey this morning for one week. Vi came about 10:30. We ate lunch at Samaritan Keep cafeteria. Spent a couple hours visiting Mary Chamberlain. She can’t move. Just lays there until they turn her. It must be so terrible for her.

88°. A very hot humid day. A few showers in morning. Also thunder. Lyla called. Said Marion Smith died of cancer yesterday morning in her sleep. I talked with Vi. I called Jim in evening. He was at Longways for his supper. He’s getting ready for the Adams rummage sale tomorrow. Jolie called at suppertime. I had call from the Nielson TV people.

Not so hot and humid 81°. I got invite to Art and Doris 50th anniversary party on October 5th.

Still hot and humid. 84°. I didn’t go to church Nash’s didn’t go. Vern and June got here at 12 noon. I was on the phone with Jim. We went to Bob Evans for dinner. Jim and Nancy met us there on the bike. We stopped at Eckert’s and I got a new pedestal fan. $22.46. Vern put it together for me. June brought 6 more years of my diary.

Partly cloudy. Cooler Linda B called about picnic. I read my diary June brought. Stream International coming to Watertown. Gov Pataki announced it at 1:30 PM.

69° and 54°. My arthritis hurting tonight. VIP picnic. Five members and two guests. Was kind of cool in the pavilion. Lunch $7.50. Members gave $4. Bertha and I rode with Linda Beyette. She has a nice new car.

A cool day but nice. 75°. I got VIP account in books and checks ready to send to bank. I finished TV Neilson diary tonight and got them ready to return tomorrow. Florence gave me hamburger and coffee from Burger King for lunch. She gave me string beans for super. A good neighbor to have.

76° and 44°. A nice day. On the cool side. I spent a lot of today reading in my large print diaries. It’s like living my life over again. A great feeling. June has put so much work in them.

A nice summer day. 78°. Jessie here to clean. She is doing good. Her husband died of a massive heart attack as they slept. Jessie went back to work last night. We went to store for groceries. I got 12 piece set of blue towels for bathroom from Brylane Home Co. nice. Talked with Jim. Kathy called. Steve likes his new job. They are coming up Sunday after next the 18th. It is in tonight’s Times that Rev. Dick Graves, 68 is dead of cancer in Florida. He is related to the Hanson’s. His wife is Mona (Jarvis). Archie Flemings was his grandfather.

Another great day. 83°. Nice in my apartment all day. Had both fans going on low. I finished reading the last diary June brought. 1981. They bring back a lot of good memories and some that were not quite so good.

Another warm day. 88°. I took a cab to church. I rode home with Ruth Porter. Toby offered to bring me home also. A lazy day. Florence was in to chat for awhile. Today is Robin and Dan’s 12th anniversary. Vern’s, Steve’s, Seguins and Jackson’s on boat cruise this weekend.

Hot and humid. 86° and 63°. Still no rain. Lyla called in PM. She said I could ride with Cheryl to Art and Doris’ party October 5th. It is in tonight’s Times that Julius Pastor, 79 upstairs died Sunday of heart trouble. Grass fires at Fort Drum on the firing range. They are letting it burn itself out because of ammunition on ground.

Another hot day. 86° and 69°. Jolie called in morning. Zack left Sunday for North Carolina (Charlotte) to see about Nascar job. Jim called at supper time.

A hot humid day. Syracuse is 100°. 93° and 74° here. I washed my new towels. Bill was here with a guy to check my window for the umpteenth time. I hope they fix the leak this time. Florence brought me blueberry short cake. Good.

86° and 71°. Rained some in AM. Hot again in PM. A nice breeze. Humid. I talked with Lyla. Centennial picnic by Schuler’s 5 PM all free. Good turn out. Delicious meal. Hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, potatoes and pasta salads, baked beans, corn on the cob. 3 kinds of melons, cold tea and lemonade. Jim called in evening.

87°. A few showers but still hot and humid. Bad thunder storm in evening. I cleaned floors, dusted and did some hand washing. Coby Slate here. Brought me two church tapes. Mr. Pastor’s funeral. 11 AM.

Not quite as warm. I called Vi but she is in Binghamton. Andrea is with her. Today is the memorial service for Marian Smith at Philadelphia.

Hot and muggy but a nice breeze. 83° We went to church. Not as many out. Steve, Kathy and girls got here about 2 PM. Kristen and Sarah each brought me a purple African violet. Very pretty. Vi called in the evening.

Partly cloudy. Cooler. Juanita called about 11 AM. She, Doreen and Tandra were on Pratt Street on their way here. Doreen took us to lunch at Bob Evans Restaurant. We shopped at Kamargo’s, Walmarts, and Crosby’s Big M. A great time together. I got three tops. Also white canvas sneakers. I’m tired tonight. I’m not use to shopping. Darcia has an apartment here in the city. She has two jobs. She will be going to JCC this fall. Doreen is building a two apartment house on her land with the help of her kids and Kyle.

A great refreshing day. No fans needed. 54°. Jolie called from work but she was very busy so we didn’t talk much. Zack hasn’t a job yet. May be home Thursday. I made some goulash. Scott Gray called asking me to vote for him for the assembly.

Another nice day. 80° and 52°. Warm in PM. May Myers came back to her apartment this PM from the nursing home for a while to be evaluated. I talked with Lyla. I sent application for extra Heap donation of $50 toward electric bill. I washed bedding and towels. Helen McClean called. Also Jessie.

Cloudy. Some rain showers in PM. Rained hard later. We needed it. Jessie here to clean. We went to Big M store. Steve and Kathy’s 15th anniversary.

Sunny, refreshing day. I talked with Jim. He and Nancy left this PM for Vermont on the bike. Marlene and Fred N couldn’t go as Fred has a sore hand. Vern called in evening. They are coming tomorrow. Lydia and Jordan are coming with them.

70°. A cloudy day. A few showers off and on. Vern and June, Lydia and Jordan got here about noon. They had been over to the Science Tech building on Stone Street. Vern got us food at McDonalds and we took it to the park for a picnic. The kids had fun playing at the playground. We went through the zoo to see the animals. Lydia and Jordan are cute kids.

A nice sunny day. 75° and 60°. We didn’t go to church. Jim Nash has sore ankle. Jolie called from work to ask my address.

77° and 56°. Cooler. A great day. I sent check to Philadelphia church. Jim called in evening. They had good trip to Vermont. He’s going to Pennsylvania this Saturday and Sunday to crash site. Road Dogs are meeting there.

Sunny. Nice breeze. 73° and 56°. I sent absentee ballot to vote. Lazy day. Vern and June’s 42nd anniversary.

77° and 45°. A nice sunny day. The guy fixed my leaky window again this morning. I talked with Jim twice. He had a doctor’s appointment. Jolie called from work. Shawn Michael came back to New York State last night. Shawn and Carrie went after him. Zak went back to North Carolina today. Lee was here in PM about window.

Partly cloudy. Cool. 70° and 53°. A lazy day. I read a couple stories in Guidepost. A girl called for a survey on many things. Very interesting. Took a half hour. Local, national, and world opinions.

78° and 47°. I paid my rent. $50. Jim called in PM. The Road Dogs aren’t going to Pennsylvania this weekend after all. The weather forecast is for rainy weather. Vi called in evening. She is bringing Julie over to see my apartment tomorrow night.

Very warm and sunny. Not much breeze until evening. 84° and 52°. Vi and Julie here in evening so Julie could see my apartment. They are all so anxious for Vi to get an apartment here. Sherri called about church.

79° and 56°. Sunny. Warm. Great day. Jim, Sherri and I went to church. I went to Baptist service here in PM. Today is Jordan’s third birthday.

80° and 61°. A nice day. Nice breeze. Jim was here on his bike. He cashed a check for me. He was going to Jill’s. Today is his 59th birthday. I gave him a card and $20. I watched Jerry Lewis telethon most of the day. I wonder if Jerry will be around to do it next year. He isn’t well.

88° and 66°. Partly cloudy. Humid. A few showers at suppertime. May Myers fell again today in her room. She should not be alone.

Partly cloudy. Breezy. 78° and 52°. Dorothy Kellogg went to hospital at 7 AM with a diabetic attack. I called for prayer for her on prayer chain. I got a beautiful bedspread and pillow from Jolie today. It is so beautiful. Crocheted flowers and lace on white quilt. I called Jolie in evening to thank her for quilt. Zack was home also. Jim called to answer my call to him earlier. May M fell again tonight.

71° and 57°. A nice day. Lyla called. Her back hurts her a lot. May Myers went back to hospital. I started cleaning my bedroom closet but didn’t get very far. General Hagenbeck and the last 120 soldiers of the 10th infantry returned home to Fort Drum this morning from Afghanistan. They flew direct from Germany to Fort Drum in a 727 jet.

72° and 40°. A great day. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. Ann Pacific here to see me this morning. She was at Lidia’s. Ann and I worked at the Olga years ago. It was nice to see her again. Juanita called at suppertime.

84° and 46°. Shawn Michael called me. I sent sympathy card to Kenny and Rudes family. Sherry called. They aren’t going to church tomorrow.
