Cold. Mostly cloudy. Some sun and rain. My eyes bad today. Jim here to get a check cashed for me. He speaks at midtown towers tonight. I got some nice pictures from Lyla today. Grace Bennett moved out today to live with her sons. Mark Plumpton fell in his apartment and is in the hospital.

44° and 15°. Cold. Snow predicted overnight. Exercise class. Dawn and I only ones dressed for Halloween. Nine there. Sally Hamilton moved into our hall today. Elgin and Carmi called in morning. Both are well. Vern called in evening about Alice Mix Hanson’s picture. He’s sending a copy to Debby. Also one of Alice’s parents. I talked with Lyla.

45° and 32°. First big snowfall south of us. Over a foot at Barnes Corners. Even more at Montique. Jessie didn’t come. She called and will be here on Monday. Jim goes to a debate at Bonnie Castle at Alex Bay tonight. I talked with him. I got a nice letter from June. I enjoy her letters. I put fans away and got out humidifier.

34° and 21°. Partly cloudy. Some sun. some snow flurries. Cold. I went for coffee and donuts. I talked with Jim. Vi called in PM. Nash’s brought roast beef dinners from First UMC at 7 PM. Very good.

35° and 17°. Cold. Ground white with snow this morning but most of it melted. I didn’t go to church. Nash’s went to Stone Mills. I went to services here in PM. Jolie called this morning as I was eating breakfast. She was on her way to work. I received a call from President Bush asking me to vote in the election. I’ve already sent my absentee ballot.

42° and 33°. Cloudy. Raining. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. Jim here in PM. He goes to Syracuse Friday to see Dr. Fredrickson. Goes in Tuesday for 24 hours for back operation. He is going to Ohio Friday and bring Joel home. Joel lost his drivers license for DWI. I went to Centennial meeting in the evening. I called Vern’s in evening. Hope Johnson director of Centennial and seven residents here have been here 23 years. Hope came three weeks before the others. Alice Potter will be 100 years old on December 30th.

Cloudy and cold. I went to exercise class. VIP support group here. Nine present. Good meeting. We planned our Christmas party. Toby Morrow called. He and Donna lost their vote as machine wasn’t working. Lorraine forgot to put paper in their machine when Sue went to vote. Election results all evening John Burns new sheriff. Jim’s won’t be counted until next week. Jolie called. I talked to Jim. I gave Florence D $30 for sandals.

40° and 17°. Very cold. Partly sunny. Jolie called at noon. I called Jim. His appointment tomorrow is at 11 AM with Dr. Fredrickson and 1:30 PM at the hospital. Vi called. She leaves tomorrow for Julies until Thanksgiving.

60° and 39°. Much warmer. A great day. Quite windy. Jim goes to Syracuse for pre-op tests and then on to Joel’s in Iowa.

63° and 52°. Mostly sunny. Warm. I talked with June and Very. Jim and Joel called from Morris, Illinois on their way back from Iowa. Jim has his operation at 8 AM Tuesday. Sherri called about church.

66° and 57°. Warm, windy, raining in PM. We went to Sunday school and church. Florence stopped in. Debby called in evening.

69° and 49°. Veteran’s Day. A nice day. Partly sunny. I talked with Jim. They got back to Adams about 10:30 last night. Spent Saturday night in motel in Illinois. Jim and Joel stopped in to pick up Jim’s walker. Getting colder this morning.

48° and 42°. I went to exercise class. 9 out. Jim’s operation in Syracuse at 8 AM. Jill took him to hospital. All went well. Jill and Joel called. I called Vern’s. Vern stopped at hospital to see Jim He called me fro his car. Barbershop chorus here at 6:30. They are so great. Tracy Robertson said he would get me a tape of his wife, he, and their kids singing. It was so great hearing Tracy again.

44° and 39°. Partly cloudy. Colder. Vern called in morning. Jim had a rough night. I talked with Jim. Vern brought Jim home from hospital to find his house locked . Joel had left with the key. They got in through a side widow. I talked with Linda B and Hope about VIP. Cheryl called. Also Lyla. I called Joel in PM. I went downstairs and checked on Marion C who isn’t feeling too good.

55° and 37°. A dark cloudy day. Some rain. I went to exercise class. Ten there. I called Jim. He feels pretty good. His incision sore when he moves around. Linda called about machine.

49° and 26°. Some rain. Some snow. I washed my living room draperies and hung them on the widows to dry. Washed some other clothes also. I talked with Jim. He’s doing okay. Juanita called in evening. She has been to Dorland and pats for 2 ½ weeks. Pat failing. Jessie called and couldn’t come until Monday. I played cards in evening with Bush’s, Dorothy D. and Diane R and Shirley D. Bill here adjusting water temperature.

28° and 22°. Cloudy all day. Cold. Rain and sleet in evening. I went for coffee and donuts in AM. Lots out for it.

31° and 28°. Rain. Sleet and snow over night and most of the day. Very icy. We didn’t go to church. Jolie called in morning on her way to work. I talked with Jim.

34° and 28°. Lots of ice and snow around. Jessie here to clean. She got her late. We went for groceries. Barb Coughlin had her first chemo treatment. Vern called. They are coming for my birthday on Thursday. Jim drove into city. He had an appointment with a lawyer about his disability insurance.

39° and 22°. Cloudy. Rain off and on. I went to exercise class. I called Esther Taylor. Also Jim. He drove to city yesterday and today. Things went well.

49° and 39°. A nice day. Not much sun. I washed black, navy and green clothes. I got several birthday cards. I took on up to Barb. I played Pedro in evening. Jolie called in evening. Jim got 264 votes for sheriff.

Cloudy day. 51° and 43°. Rain in evening. My 85th birthday. I went to exercise class. Dawn made us turkey braid. Delicious. Vern and June got here at 10:30. They brought me picture of my grandmother Alice Mix Hanson (Dad’s mother who died when dad was 10 years old) It is in an antique frame. Her father and mother’s pictures are inside it. We went to cemetery and shopped at Seaway shopping center. Jim and Joel here in evening. They brought me a big birthday card. Jim took Sue to Syracuse today. Lyla called in evening.

Another cloudy day. Rainy day. They checked our alarm system today. I got “Aunt” birthday card and letter from Debby. Her birthday is today. Arlene Wilson stopped by. She goes to Syracuse for laser on her eye Tuesday. Talked with Lyla. I mopped kitchen and bathroom floors.

31° and 25°. Snowing off and on. I washed bedding and put new sponge mattress pad on my bed. Turned mattress. Made biscuits.

34° and 22°. Cloudy day. I went to exercise class. Hope’s mother-in-law, Betty Ann Moore join us. I had eye appointment with Dr. Sanni at 1:15. Pressure 12 and 16. I’m to use Lumegan in both eyes at night. I took Para Transit bus both ways. Vern called in evening.

28° and 10°. Cold. Some sun. Partly cloudy. I made “dump cake” to take tomorrow. I talked with Jim. Shawn Michael is going to Vern and June’s with us. I played Pedro in evening. We had three tables. I sent checks to Reader’s Digest and Niagara Mohawk.

Cloudy. Snow in PM and evening. Thanksgiving at Vern and June’s. Jim picked me up at 10:30. Joel and Shawn Michael were with him. Jill came from Syracuse. We had a delicious dinner as usual. We all brought home leftovers. They have a beautiful home. It was very snowy around Pulaski coming home. June called in evening. Steve’s and Dan’s hadn’t gotten home from Pennsylvania yet.

37° and 28°. Snowing and windy. Raining. Jessie here to clean. We didn’t go for groceries. Lyla called. Bev Sampson in Florida this weekend. I called Jim in PM. He was dog sitting Max. Jill, Joel, and Shawn Michael was at Patty’s for dinner. Shirley cut my hair in PM. Some lightning and thunder after I went to bed at midnight.

43° and 30°. Raining and snowing about all day. Vi called in PM. She got home from Julie’s on Thursday.

Cold. Partly sunny. We didn’t go to church. I went out here to service in PM. I called on Marion Hewitt. I talked with Lyla. Jolie called in evening. She was in her bath tub. Zack has finally made friends with his dad after seven years of not speaking to him. He bought Zack $600 worth of tools for his new job. I called Almon Mix of Great Bend.

29° and 8°. Lots of lake affect snow over night. I got down Christmas decorations. I didn’t go to Centennial meeting in evening as I forgot about it. I got package of material and pictures from Debby on the Mix and Hanson family. She sent a picture of Grandpa, Aunt Lou and the twins, Dad and Uncle Earl. Make me lonesome for grandpa Hanson. He was such a great man. It is amazing the work Debby has put in on this genealogy of the family. She has several interested in helping her.

13° and -20°. A very cold day. Sunny. I did some more decorating. Our VIP Christmas dinner here. A delicious turkey dinner prepared by Cindy Granger and family. Seven of us and one guest. Lee here. She decorated dining room for it.

Still very cold. I finished decorating. I helped decorate tree in lobby. I took my old radio out to play Christmas music for them. I talked with Jim and Jolie.

28° and 23°. Everything pretty with fresh snow. Warmer. I went to exercise class. Ten there. Kinney’s delivery mad brought my pills. He forgot my mild so had to make a second trip. Jim went to Syracuse to doctors for check up on his back. Everything coming good. He goes back in January.

37° and 16°. Snow over night. Some during day. I made chili. Tasted good. I talked with Sue. She got a red poinsettia for me for Philadelphia church altar. I mailed her a check for it. I had call from Ada Jane about giving $3 toward Dawn’s gift. A gift certificate to Sunny’s.

Not a bad day. I got bank statement. I worked on my checkbook but it doesn’t balance with bank. Coby here with church tape. Bethany Johnson in charge. A good message. I took a load of trash down stairs. Also stopped to see Dorothy D. Took birthday card to Marion C. I made popcorn in evening.

Snow over night. Jim N and I went to church. I’m dizzy today. I used my eyes too much last night on the checkbook. Jolie called. She said Jill’s little dog Max died. Had some type of virus.

A very cold day all day and evening. My appointment with Dr. LaPoint at 10:30. I took a bus. My cholesterol count is high.

34° and 21°. Warmer. Partly cloudy. Exercise class. Eleven there. Betty Schanauber here with Christmas box from the United Methodist Women’s group. I called Kathy at Philadelphia bank to switch some money for me.

Cold. Raining. Snowy. I did laundry. I played Pedro in evening. We played in the library. 3 tables. I got notice I’ll get $400 form Heap this year for 2003.

39° and 32°. Cloudy. Slippery under foot. I went to exercise class. We had it in library as dining room is set up for our Christmas dinner. Roast port from Schuler’s. Free. I called Jim. Not much going on with he and Joel. Ken and Esther called. Kinney’s delivered eye drops and iron pills. $55.

39° and 34°. A nice day. Not much sun. Jessie here. We went to store. I called bus for Monday. I talked with Vi. I got several Christmas cards. June Ridsdale sent me card and $20.

A cloudy day with rain and snow. I went for coffee and donuts in morning. I ordered a ham dinner from church for supper. Very good. Had enough left over for another meal. I addressed first Christmas card this season. Got some.

29° and 12°. I went for blood test at 8:30 AM. Took bus both ways. Cold and slippery. Worked at Christmas cards in PM. Lyla called. She said Bev S has already left with her boy friend Skip. I got pictures of Art and Doris’s family. Also got card and picture of Kristen and Sarah Tryon. Debby called in evening. We talked for almost two hours.
