    41° and 34°. Not a bad day. Some sun. I called Jim. I mailed my election ballot today. I wrote in Jim Tryon for sheriff.

    Cold. Mostly cloudy. Some sun and rain. My eyes bad today. Jim here to get a check cashed for me. He speaks at midtown towers tonight. I got some nice pictures from Lyla today. Grace Bennett moved out today to live with her sons. Mark Plumpton fell in his apartment and is in the hospital.

    44° and 15°. Cold. Snow predicted overnight. Exercise class. Dawn and I only ones dressed for Halloween. Nine there. Sally Hamilton moved into our hall today. Elgin and Carmi called in morning. Both are well. Vern called in evening about Alice Mix Hanson’s picture. He’s sending a copy to Debby. Also one of Alice’s parents. I talked with Lyla.

    45° and 32°. First big snowfall south of us. Over a foot at Barnes Corners. Even more at Montique. Jessie didn’t come. She called and will be here on Monday. Jim goes to a debate at Bonnie Castle at Alex Bay tonight. I talked with him. I got a nice letter from June. I enjoy her letters. I put fans away and got out humidifier.

    34° and 21°. Partly cloudy. Some sun. some snow flurries. Cold. I went for coffee and donuts. I talked with Jim. Vi called in PM. Nash’s brought roast beef dinners from First UMC at 7 PM. Very good.

    35° and 17°. Cold. Ground white with snow this morning but most of it melted. I didn’t go to church. Nash’s went to Stone Mills. I went to services here in PM. Jolie called this morning as I was eating breakfast. She was on her way to work. I received a call from President Bush asking me to vote in the election. I’ve already sent my absentee ballot.

    42° and 33°. Cloudy. Raining. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. Jim here in PM. He goes to Syracuse Friday to see Dr. Fredrickson. Goes in Tuesday for 24 hours for back operation. He is going to Ohio Friday and bring Joel home. Joel lost his drivers license for DWI. I went to Centennial meeting in the evening. I called Vern’s in evening. Hope Johnson director of Centennial and seven residents here have been here 23 years. Hope came three weeks before the others. Alice Potter will be 100 years old on December 30th.

    Cloudy and cold. I went to exercise class. VIP support group here. Nine present. Good meeting. We planned our Christmas party. Toby Morrow called. He and Donna lost their vote as machine wasn’t working. Lorraine forgot to put paper in their machine when Sue went to vote. Election results all evening John Burns new sheriff. Jim’s won’t be counted until next week. Jolie called. I talked to Jim. I gave Florence D $30 for sandals.

    69° and 49°. Veteran’s Day. A nice day. Partly sunny. I talked with Jim. They got back to Adams about 10:30 last night. Spent Saturday night in motel in Illinois. Jim and Joel stopped in to pick up Jim’s walker. Getting colder this morning.

    48° and 42°. I went to exercise class. 9 out. Jim’s operation in Syracuse at 8 AM. Jill took him to hospital. All went well. Jill and Joel called. I called Vern’s. Vern stopped at hospital to see Jim He called me fro his car. Barbershop chorus here at 6:30. They are so great. Tracy Robertson said he would get me a tape of his wife, he, and their kids singing. It was so great hearing Tracy again.

    44° and 39°. Partly cloudy. Colder. Vern called in morning. Jim had a rough night. I talked with Jim. Vern brought Jim home from hospital to find his house locked . Joel had left with the key. They got in through a side widow. I talked with Linda B and Hope about VIP. Cheryl called. Also Lyla. I called Joel in PM. I went downstairs and checked on Marion C who isn’t feeling too good.

I played cards in evening with Bush’s, Dorothy D. and Diane R and Shirley D. Bill here adjusting water temperature.

They brought me picture of my grandmother Alice Mix Hanson (Dad’s mother who died when dad was 10 years old) It is in an antique frame. Her father and mother’s pictures are inside it. We went to cemetery and shopped at Seaway shopping center. Jim and Joel here in evening. They brought me a big birthday card. Jim took Sue to Syracuse today. Lyla called in evening.

    29° and 8°. Lots of lake affect snow over night. I got down Christmas decorations. I didn’t go to Centennial meeting in evening as I forgot about it. I got package of material and pictures from Debby on the Mix and Hanson family. She sent a picture of Grandpa, Aunt Lou and the twins, Dad and Uncle Earl. Make me lonesome for grandpa Hanson. He was such a great man. It is amazing the work Debby has put in on this genealogy of the family. She has several interested in helping her.

    28° and 23°. Everything pretty with fresh snow. Warmer. I went to exercise class. Ten there. Kinney’s delivery mad brought my pills. He forgot my mild so had to make a second trip. Jim went to Syracuse to doctors for check up on his back. Everything coming good. He goes back in January.
