A nice day. 69° and 53°. Cool wind. A quiet day. I took birthday card up to Hazel Boyle. I listened to Marion Hewitt playing her organ in PM. Jim leaves for Connecticut on bike this morning.

Partly cloudy. Cool. 64° and 47°. We didn’t go to church. Nash’s went to Stone Mills. Jim returned from Connecticut.

Sunny day. Cool. Centennial meeting in evening. I went. Good turn out. I washed some clothes by hand.

Nice most of day. Raining in PM and evening. I went to exercise class. Dawn gave us banana cake. Delicious. VIP meeting. Good turnout. About 15 there. Mike Moran from C Teck present to show magnifying machine. We made $23 on Out to Eat card raffle. Seven members have paid $5 dues. I called Jim. Jolie called in evening to say Jim was on his way to Iowa. Joel and his friend left Jolie’s for their home today. Joel and Jolie fighting all the time he’s been there at Jolie’s.

Raining. Very humid. 75° and 60°. I washed my bedspread in new washing machine. The life line man from the hospital brought me all new talking outfit. I cooked chicken breast for casserole tomorrow.

A great day. 72° and 37°. I did my laundry this AM. I used new front load washer for 2nd time. Costs $1. Vi called about Rebekah’s. Also Linda Beyette about VIP. The Ashley twins 8th birthday. Ground broken at Philadelphia for new medical Center.

A great summer day. 77° and 40°. A nice breeze in my apartment. I cleaned bathroom cupboard. Sue Boschock called on prayer chain for Bernice Davenport. She has heart attack. I called Vivian next on chain. I also called Vi. I got list of Philadelphia prayer chain group of 20 folks from Nancy. Jim, Madison, and Jolie called from Ohio. Jolie has a new job in a department store. Starts in drapery and curtain department. Jim called in evening. He got home about 9:30 PM.

A great summer day. 76° and 60°. We went to church. No Sunday school. Art and Madeline Miles there. I went to Baptist Service. Very good. Great singing by Bob Smith family. I called Shawn Michael. He seemed happy. He has one more week of school. Vern called. He wants to take Vi and I to Philadelphia church next Sunday. I called Vi.

Sunny and breezy. 73° and 50°. They shampooed the carpets today. Vi called in AM. I called her in evening. Shawn Michael called asking for his Mother’s phone number. I called Office of the Aging. I can’t get my Medicare Insurance paid as I have more than $3000 in the bank. I called Shelby’s about VIP picnic. Cost $7.50 each this year. I called Lyla.

82°. Hot and humid. Showers in evening. Also thunder and lightning. I went to exercise class. Dawn gave us YMCA shirts. We gave Rose Mary $2 each for gift for Dawn. I called Juanita but she was too busy with Anthony to talk.

Rainy and cloudy. Sue B called for prayer chain for Marty Crossmn. He was burned in the explosion at Knowlton papers. One killed and six injured. Rebakah’s, we went out to eat at Our Place in Adams. Deidra took us. Seven went. Lodge pain for food. We took basket of flowers to Mary Chamberlain in Samaritan Keep Nursing home on way. We went to Sackets to Esther’s for meeting. Lyla called. Also Juanita. We talked for 2 hours. Alma H came to my door a bout her refrigerator running too much. I checked it and all seemed okay.

A sunny day. 76° and 52°. They cleaned and painted parking lots. Exercise class. Only one left. Dawn gave us cookies.

Raining again. 64°. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. Jim here. He went to bank for me to get a check cashed. Coby S here at suppertime with church tape.

61°, 53°. Raining about all day. Cold. Lots of events this weekend getting rained on. Some cancelled. I talked with Jim.

64° and 52°. Vernon came and took I and I out to Philadelphia Quaker Days to church service. (Baptist and Methodist) in pavilion. . We had chicken Bar-B-Q at legion. Also watched parade. We got to see a lot of folks. The weather was raining and cold. Sun came out on way home. Vern drove into cemetery. Flowers look great.

Not very warm. 62°. A few showers. Today would have been mom’s birthday. She would be 110 years old. I read my diaries that Vern brought me yesterday. Read three years of them. June is putting so much work in them. I can’t recall some of the tings but it is like living my life over in most of it.

Sunny finally. Chilly wind 68°. Our last exercise class until September. We gave Dawn gift. She gave us greeting cards she made. Coby here with tape of Shari Purcell’s sermon. Inspectors here. Coming back tomorrow for paper work. The whole place looks great inside and outside.

A beautiful day. More like summer 79°. Sue called for prayer chain. Vivian Myers in hospital with high blood pressure. The men finished inspection. Got “Superior” ratings.

A hot day. I took bus to and from Dr. Sanni’s. Dr. Sanni at 2:15. He removed another plug by laser. Pressure up to 27 in that eye. I saw Linda in lobby for a few minutes. Dorothy Danks left magnifying lamp by my door. Jolie called. Shawn Michael wants to visit me.

Hot and humid. I’ve been sick all day with temperature. My arthritis real bad. Vi called. Vivian is out of hospital. Linda called. VIP members to pay $4. Club pays $3.50 for lunch. Juanita called about Darcia party.

Dark day. Raining. 73° and 63. I feel better today. No temperature. I went to bed at 9:30 last night and got up at 7:50. Shawn Michael called. He is coming tomorrow. Lots of graduations today. Darcia graduated. I couldn’t go to her party from 3-10 PM at Doreen’s.

82° and 60°. A nice summer day. Nice breeze. We went to church. Jim N in charge. A good sermon. Rev Dora on vacation. Nash’s left this PM for a few days in the Adirondacks. I talked with Jim. Jim and Nancy here on bike. Good to see her. Shawn Michael called. He’s coming tomorrow.

A great day. 76° and 58°. Perfect. I washed clothes. I sent Marge Heck card. Send June birthday card, $10, and letter. Shawn Michael got here about 1 PM. Carrie dropped him off. I talked with Shawn. Jim was here on his bike. Brought me some milk.

Another hot and humid day. 84°. Shawn Michael and I went over to Samaritan Keep to gift shop. Ate lunch in cafeteria. Shawn Michael got acquainted with Josh. Mural Robinson’s grandson. They flew kites with Henry B in PM until Jim came. Jim took Shawn on bike rest of PM. He took Shawn to Stone Mills at suppertime. We saw Mary C at Samaritan Keep. Vi called in PM. Got letter with cute picture of Kristen from Kathy.

Hot and humid again. Some rain in PM with thunder. Bad storms in Oswego County. Perm at 10 AM. Took Shirley 2 hours. Muriel R here. Also Florence. June’s birthday. Coby S here with tapes. Jim Myers (June’s brother-in-law) 70 died in Cambridge Maryland.

Another hot day. Some rain in PM with thunder. I washed clothes in morning. Vern called to say Jim Myers, 71 died yesterday. They are going to Jan’s Tuesday. Service there Wednesday. I got long letter from June. Good to hear from her. I called Jim. I called Helen McClean about Jessie.

Great weather. We went to church. Jim and Sherri asked me to go to Bob Evans Restaurant for lunch afterwards. We drove out to Philadelphia by way of Theresa. Elgin and Carmi called from Canada.

Another nice day. 85°. I talked with Lyla. She didn’t go to Blue Grass Festival this weekend. I called Jim. He got home from Ohio at 1 AM this morning. Potage goes up three cents to 37 cents to mail a letter. Vern called in evening.

A hot day. 87°. Vern and June go to Cambridge Maryland today. Spent day reading my diaries. Too hot to work. Florence gave me fresh strawberries from Beilings.

Another hot day. 86°. Coby Slate here to bring me church tape. I called Jerry to tell her Coby brought wrong tape. Jolie called from work for Jill’s cell phone number. Jill was on her way to Jolie’s for weekend. Jim Myer’s memorial service in Maryland.

Hot and humid. 85° and 72°. A very quiet day around here. Jim brought me his square window fan for my bedroom window until I can get one. I talked with him earlier. Jill got to Jolie’s about 5 PM last night. Jolie’s Washington neighbor still there.

Cooler. Humidity down great, 72° and 56°. I made goulash. I washed white clothes. I banged my forehead on the corner of the laundry tub in laundry. Got a huge goose egg over my left eye. Sore. Kinney’s brought my pills.

A nice refreshing day. I washed my good white summer clothes. Larry’s garden out my window is so pretty with all the flowers. The tall rose bush is loaded with large colored red roses. It is so beautiful. Sherri called in evening.

A nice day. 78° and 56°. We went to church. Cherrie wanted to go to new Dunkin Donut place at Calcium so we went out there for coffee and donuts. Nice. We came back here and sat in cool lobby and visited. Vi called in evening. She mixed up tape she gave Dorothy D to return to me.

Partly cloudy but a nice day. Nice breeze. 79° and 65°. I cooked chicken for supper. Jim Nash called to say Bill was going to remove hornet hives from outside our window when it gets dark.

Cloudy, humid with some rain off and on. 77° and 67°. I took bus to and from square. Sure missed the fountain on the square. Dr. LaPoint 2:15. Everything okay. She wants me to try Cozaar blood pressure pills again. She gave me free samples. I sent Darcia graduation check. Bertha A stopped by a couple times. Jefferson County fair opens for 158th time today. 8000 in attendance.

73° and 50°. A perfect day. I called bank to transfer money. Sherri Nash’s birthday. I took a card down to her. An arrest has been made in damage to the monument on the square. A guy was drunk and tried to climb to the top of it. He gave himself up. He is Justin Scott, age 29. He is free on 1000 bail. He was hurt in the fall. I called Jolie to wish her happy birthday today. She’s 31. We only talked a short time as she got another call.

73° and 41°. Dr. LaPoint’s nurse called to say my blood test showed I’m low on potassium. She wants me to go back on Cozaar instead of Hygaar. I’ve already started it today. Bertha stopped by. She got her reading machine. Jessie called. She can’t come until Monday. Coby Slate here with tapes. Jim called in evening. He leaves in morning on bike for Boston.

76° and 48°. Florence D took me to drug store and Big M store. Jim left for Boston with Lob C. Hennigan on bikes. Lee’s birthday.

80° and 53°. Great day. Hot outside but nice in my apartment with the fans on low. Rick forgot to leave my paper this morning. Debbie brought me one when I called. Sherri called. Florence gave me two slices pizza from Art’s Jag. Very good.

83° and 62°. A sunny hot day. I went to church with Girt Stanton. Nash’s in Massena with their family. I watched Calgary stampede rodeo on channel 11 in PM. Merrill was buried a year ago today. I gave the church bulletin in his memory today at First church.

Partly cloudy. 82° and 67°. Just a few sprinkles. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. I called Para Transit for ride tomorrow. I did some hand laundry. I washed my windows on inside. I stopped taking the Cozaar that I tried again starting four day ago. I’m still allergic to it.

A just great day. 79° and 46°. I called Jim. He was at eye doctors. He’s going to Vermont in the morning on his bike. Dr. Sanni 1:15 PM. Pressure 18 and 15. I’m to use Alphagan 3 times a day in both eyes. Continue Coseop and Lumican in right eye only. Vi and Dorothy D here in P. They had been walking up at the park. Jim Nash called. I’m taking some potassium tablets I had on hand. One a day.

Hot and humid. Sunny in PM. They washed my windows today. I washed the lace curtains and put them back up. Look great. Doris Haggerty called in evening. They are having a party on their 50th anniversary October 5th at the fire hall in Philadelphia. Jolie called in evening. Also talked with Zack. Jim is in Vermont with his friends.

Cloudy day. Cooler. 75° and 69°. I talked with Vi. Eleanor Henderson called on the prayer chain for the death of Joy Schaffer’s mother and Nancy Huntress’ brother Rick who is in Syracuse for an angioplasty. Church strawberry festival 4:30 -6:30. I didn’t go. Jim Nash called but it was too late to get ready. May Myers in hospital with blood clot in her head.

Sunny and warm. President Georg Bush at Fort Drum for about four hours. Also Gov. Pataki and other state officers: Hillary Clinton, John McHugh, Sweeney Walsh, and others. All very moving to watch all those young soldiers response to the President. Makes a person proud to be an American. Jim called in evening. He had just gotten home from his bike trip to all the New England States. Three other guys went with him. Jim was their guide. I went outside for a walk and to see the flowers. Barb was watering them. She sure keeps them beautiful.
