    Thunder off and on all night. 71° and 58°. Raining during day. Also thunder. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. Jolie called. She’s very upset over losing her car. Joel and friend there. They were sleeping at 11:30 AM. I cooked chicken breast for supper.

    Nice most of day. Raining in PM and evening. I went to exercise class. Dawn gave us banana cake. Delicious. VIP meeting. Good turnout. About 15 there. Mike Moran from C Teck present to show magnifying machine. We made $23 on Out to Eat card raffle. Seven members have paid $5 dues. I called Jim. Jolie called in evening to say Jim was on his way to Iowa. Joel and his friend left Jolie’s for their home today. Joel and Jolie fighting all the time he’s been there at Jolie’s.

    Raining. Very humid. 75° and 60°. I washed my bedspread in new washing machine. The life line man from the hospital brought me all new talking outfit. I cooked chicken breast for casserole tomorrow.

    A great summer day. 77° and 40°. A nice breeze in my apartment. I cleaned bathroom cupboard. Sue Boschock called on prayer chain for Bernice Davenport. She has heart attack. I called Vivian next on chain. I also called Vi. I got list of Philadelphia prayer chain group of 20 folks from Nancy. Jim, Madison, and Jolie called from Ohio. Jolie has a new job in a department store. Starts in drapery and curtain department. Jim called in evening. He got home about 9:30 PM.

    A great summer day. 76° and 60°. We went to church. No Sunday school. Art and Madeline Miles there. I went to Baptist Service. Very good. Great singing by Bob Smith family. I called Shawn Michael. He seemed happy. He has one more week of school. Vern called. He wants to take Vi and I to Philadelphia church next Sunday. I called Vi.

I can’t get my Medicare Insurance paid as I have more than $3000 in the bank. I called Shelby’s about VIP picnic. Cost $7.50 each this year. I called Lyla.

    82°. Hot and humid. Showers in evening. Also thunder and lightning. I went to exercise class. Dawn gave us YMCA shirts. We gave Rose Mary $2 each for gift for Dawn. I called Juanita but she was too busy with Anthony to talk.

    Rainy and cloudy. Sue B called for prayer chain for Marty Crossmn. He was burned in the explosion at Knowlton papers. One killed and six injured. Rebakah’s, we went out to eat at Our Place in Adams. Deidra took us. Seven went. Lodge pain for food. We took basket of flowers to Mary Chamberlain in Samaritan Keep Nursing home on way. We went to Sackets to Esther’s for meeting. Lyla called. Also Juanita. We talked for 2 hours. Alma H came to my door a bout her refrigerator running too much. I checked it and all seemed okay.

    64° and 52°. Vernon came and took I and I out to Philadelphia Quaker Days to church service. (Baptist and Methodist) in pavilion. . We had chicken Bar-B-Q at legion. Also watched parade. We got to see a lot of folks. The weather was raining and cold. Sun came out on way home. Vern drove into cemetery. Flowers look great.

    Not very warm. 62°. A few showers. Today would have been mom’s birthday. She would be 110 years old. I read my diaries that Vern brought me yesterday. Read three years of them. June is putting so much work in them. I can’t recall some of the tings but it is like living my life over in most of it.

    Another hot and humid day. 84°. Shawn Michael and I went over to Samaritan Keep to gift shop. Ate lunch in cafeteria. Shawn Michael got acquainted with Josh. Mural Robinson’s grandson. They flew kites with Henry B in PM until Jim came. Jim took Shawn on bike rest of PM. He took Shawn to Stone Mills at suppertime. We saw Mary C at Samaritan Keep. Vi called in PM. Got letter with cute picture of Kristen from Kathy.

    A nice refreshing day. I washed my good white summer clothes. Larry’s garden out my window is so pretty with all the flowers. The tall rose bush is loaded with large colored red roses. It is so beautiful. Sherri called in evening.

    Cloudy, humid with some rain off and on. 77° and 67°. I took bus to and from square. Sure missed the fountain on the square. Dr. LaPoint 2:15. Everything okay. She wants me to try Cozaar blood pressure pills again. She gave me free samples. I sent Darcia graduation check. Bertha A stopped by a couple times. Jefferson County fair opens for 158th time today. 8000 in attendance.

    73° and 50°. A perfect day. I called bank to transfer money. Sherri Nash’s birthday. I took a card down to her. An arrest has been made in damage to the monument on the square. A guy was drunk and tried to climb to the top of it. He gave himself up. He is Justin Scott, age 29. He is free on 1000 bail. He was hurt in the fall. I called Jolie to wish her happy birthday today. She’s 31. We only talked a short time as she got another call.

    73° and 41°. Dr. LaPoint’s nurse called to say my blood test showed I’m low on potassium. She wants me to go back on Cozaar instead of Hygaar. I’ve already started it today. Bertha stopped by.     Partly cloudy. 82° and 67°. Just a few sprinkles. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. I called Para Transit for ride tomorrow. I did some hand laundry. I washed my windows on inside. I stopped taking the Cozaar that I tried again starting four day ago. I’m still allergic to it.

    A just great day. 79° and 46°. I called Jim. He was at eye doctors. He’s going to Vermont in the morning on his bike. Dr. Sanni 1:15 PM. Pressure 18 and 15. I’m to use Alphagan 3 times a day in both eyes. Continue Coseop and Lumican in right eye only. Vi and Dorothy D here in P. They had been walking up at the park. Jim Nash called. I’m taking some potassium tablets I had on hand. One a day.

They are having a party on their 50th anniversary October 5th at the fire hall in Philadelphia. Jolie called in evening. Also talked with Zack. Jim is in Vermont with his friends.

    Cloudy day. Cooler. 75° and 69°. I talked with Vi. Eleanor Henderson called on the prayer chain for the death of Joy Schaffer’s mother and Nancy Huntress’ brother Rick who is in Syracuse for an angioplasty. Church strawberry festival 4:30 -6:30. I didn’t go. Jim Nash called but it was too late to get ready. May Myers in hospital with blood clot in her head.

    Sunny and warm. President Georg Bush at Fort Drum for about four hours. Also Gov. Pataki and other state officers: Hillary Clinton, John McHugh, Sweeney Walsh, and others. All very moving to watch all those young soldiers response to the President. Makes a person proud to be an American. Jim called in evening. He had just gotten home from his bike trip to all the New England States. Three other guys went with him. Jim was their guide. I went outside for a walk and to see the flowers. Barb was watering them. She sure keeps them beautiful.
