    Partly sunny. 67°. I talked with Arlene Wilson. Also asked Hope about diner’s card. She said it was okay to have a raffle. Eleanor D moved to a hospital room. Jim and Sherri Nash’s 60 wedding anniversary.

    A beautiful day. Like summer. Had my windows open all day. 70° high and 53° low. I took down insulated draperies and washed the windows. Coby S here in PM. I gave Hope birthday card.

    Raining all day. Warm 55°. Arlene Wilson made raffle notices for dining out card. I put thme up in lobby and elevators. Hope’s birthday. 55 years. I called Shawn Michael at Lawlers. I listened to Lawrence Welk on TV this evening. Florence gave me a piece of lemon pie. Delicious. Sherri called to say Med S went to hospital this morning. He had a slight stroke.

    Partly cloudy day. We went to church. They had a party for Jim and Sherri’s 60th anniversary after church. Had cake and punch. A few more have signed up for dining out card raffle. I visited Lidia in PM. Jim called in evening. 11:15 PM. He had talked with Joel, Jill and Jolie.

    Cloudy in AM. 71° and 52°. Fire alarm woke us up at 6:15 AM. A drop of water got into it and set it off. Jolie called wanting me to get hold of her dad for her. She needed her birth certificate to get her Ohio driver’s license tomorrow. Jim was at Sandy Creek when I called him. Jolie called after I got to bed. Madison still up also.

    A great day. 78° and 46°. I’ve had my windows wide open all day. I collected for dining out card from Mary L and Arlene W upstairs. I made spaghetti for supper. I talked with Lyla. Joe Hardy Cleary’s son, 49, hung himself yesterday. His brother took his own life at an early age.

    75° and 52°. Another great day. A little cooler today. Coby Slate here with tapes. Bluegrass group here at 7 PM. Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett, Time Beattie and Ray. I went. Very good. Not too many out. Had punch and cookies. The flowers are starting to blossom but it is way too early.

    Cooler but nice. Sunny. 52° and 41°. We had a 5.1 earthquake at five minutes to seven this morning. I was awake and heard and felt it all. Centered 15 miles from Plattsburgh. Felt from Baltimore to Buffalo. Damage at Keeseville. I went for coffee and donuts. Arlene Wilson here in PM.

    Earth Day. Ground white this morning. And still snowing. 34°. I called Jim this AM. He was eating breakfast at 10:30. President Bush is in the Adirondack Mountains today. I visited Mary Debault down stairs this AM. Also saw Marion and Cheryl in hallway.

    Cool, but nice 46° and 29°. Dawn is back and we had exercise class after not having class for three weeks. I talked with Lyla. Scott Thayer’s live in Wooster, Ohio. I called Juanita in evening. I got letter from Kristen. Last Girl Scout Pen Pal letter.

    53° and 33°. A nice sunny day. Warm. Bill mowed the lawns for first time this year. I played Pedro in evening. Two tables. There was a second tabbing in city this week. This one in PM daylight. Donna Ellis stopped by in evening but I was in Metcafe room playing cards so she couldn’t get it.

    Raining most of day. Sun out about 3 PM. I took cab over to hospital. Was raining and very windy. Pre opt at SMC 10 AM. It took about 2 hours. Had EKG and chest X-ray plus blood tests. Catered pot roast supper by Shelby’s 5 PM. Good turn out. Delicious. I gave the table grace for first time. I walked over from hospital in rain. I stopped at Samaritan Keep for lunch (first time) Mary Chamberlain has been moved back to hospital for tests. Debby called in evening. We talked for a long time.

    cold, cold wind. A few snow flurries. I washed clothes in AM. Jolie called in PM. She is getting her car today. A rebuilt mustang, 1986, white. $2600. Jim called in evening. He’s going to Ohio Tuesday morning for a couple days to help Jolie get moved in. Walt Prow is going with him.

    47° sunny but col. Snow and rain predicted. Eleanor Dewan came back from Hospital today. Cora Carr called. She sys Mary Chamberlain is quite ill in the hospital. Jolie called at 8 AM and again in PM. She got the keys to her apartment. $539 a month. She said she’s going to spend the night there.

    Raining bout all day. In 40’s. I rode to and from church with Cora and Ray Bellinger. We had a covered dish dinner for returned Afghanistan soldiers. Very nice. Vern called in evening. They are coming Saturday.

My light green pantsuit arrived from Blair’s today. Freddie and Pat Lamon named Citizens of the Year at Dexter. Freddie is Gladys and Ted Lamon’s son. Gladys and Merrill were first cousins.

    A nice sunny day. Shawn Michael here again tonight. He wanted to stay two days and nights. Vern and June got here about 11 AM. They took me for groceries. Also Jolie. 54 Kayakers competing on Black River from all over this week and for first time. They like the Black River.

    Cloudy. I went to exercise class. Eleven out. Dawn made us Hawaiian Pizza. Delicious. I called hospital. My eye operation is at 9 AM. I called June. Vern at Rotary.

    Nice day. Cold wind. Vern got here about 8 AM. Eye operation on left eye for glaucoma. SMC by Dr. Sanni. We got there at 9 AM and back home about 1:30. All went well. Operation took about an hour. Dr. Sanni’s nurse called in PM. Jim called in evening. We talked with June and Steve. Elgin and Carmi called. My key got stuck in my mailbox when Vern went for my mail.

    Cloudy. Strong wind. Vern took me to eye center to get eye patch off. Saw Dr. Sanni. Pressure 8 in my eye. Blurry. I go back Monday. Hope gave me new door key. Bill put caulk in my wash basin. Vernon left for home bout 11 AM. Hospital called to see how I was doing.

    Raining and cloudy. Appointment with Dr. Sanni 3;45 PM. Everything okay. I’m to use glaucoma drops in right eye only. I took Para Transit bus to and from doctors. It is in the Times tonight that baby calves are selling for $300 – $600. Bred heifers $1600 each.

Cora Carr called. My cactus plant blossomed last night. I called Vern and June. Elgin called when they got home. 5:45 PM.

He may take out a plug next time. Go again next Week. Pressure was 16 in left eye. Jim called in evening. Joel planned to go to Jolie’s tomorrow.

    At last. Sunshine and warm temperatures. 70° and 37°. I went to exercise class. Only five there again. Wanda Bush called and asked me to go to church supper at Lorraine. Great supper. $7. Not many folks I remembered. Peggy Moore was in charge of dining room. Larry Drove home by Worth and through the Watertown cemetery to see the geese and ducks.

    Showers in morning. Cloudy day. Warm. I went to exercise class. Eight out. New air conditioners on a couple times. Loud. Florence gave me some rhubarb. Good. Today is Howard and Evelyn Halls 50th wedding anniversary. Vi called. World Trade Center clean up ended today. 1720 bodies not found. Jim called in evening. Joel is at Jolie’s. He has another guy with him. Jolie’s car caught fire and burned today. They had just left it.
