Mrs. Eager, 78, died last evening. Mom called in evening to say Carrie Janeck died at her daughter Dorothy’s in Quebec today. They called Aunt Keitha.

Permanent at Harriet Talmers at 1:00 PM-4:15, $10.00. Went after groceries afterwards.

Mrs. Eager’s funeral at the church at 2:00 PM. Raining all day. Merrill put new latch on kitchen door. Wrote Dot.

Nice but cooler. Merrill put door on for Mary C Hall. Got graduation invitation from Vickie Ashley.

We went to church. Went to Thousand Island Marathon Races in PM at Alexandria Bay. Beautiful day. Merrill set out Box Elder tree by porch.

Hot, 82°. Got graduation invitation from Timmy Congdon. Merrill finished Mary Hall’s door. Worked in garden. Washed. Mowed lawn.

Got letter from June. Painted kitchen walls & part of woodwork. Merrill ordered 24 square of shingles for barn room, @ $7.60. Rained.

Finished painting kitchen & desk & files. Washed dining room curtains. Worked in garden. Wrote Vern’s. Merrill cultivated corn for first.

Raining. Baked pies, cookies, & donuts. Lanphere brought barn shingles & floor lumber for barn. Sent Mom birthday card & letter.

Merrill got cards from Vern’s & Stevie. Mom’s 74th birthday. I went to city for groceries in AM. Got card from Dot T, She drives to California on Monday morning. Saw Dorothy Hogaboom at city. Merrill cultivated corn.

Father’s Day. We didn’t go to church. Had picnic on front lawn. Merrill mowed front yard. Spent all PM in front yard. Gave Merrill 2 white shirts.

Past Noble Grands club go to C-Way Turin. Ginny, Vivian, & Wilebelle’s birthdays. Had cake made for them. 23 members went @ $2.50. Very nice.

Got letter from Jim. He isn’t coming until later on. Got letter from June & Vern. We went to city & Lorraine. Went over to Art Haggerty’s in evening.

Rebekah’s installation. Nancy Brown & Ruth Hale joined. 51 present. Kids came in PM & stayed overnight. I helped Merrill take off chopper box. Got sun burned.

Kids left at 10:00 AM. I went to Philadelphia in PM. Also went down to Judy Payne’s to see Laura Lee who is 3 weeks old. Wrote Jim.

Merrill was sick all night & day. Intestinal grippe. I went to city for groceries. Got two folding lawn chairs @ $3.18. Hot. Dot got to California at 11:30 AM.

Sent $20.00 to Bernard Vircklin at Castorland for North American Accident insurance for Merrill. We went to city for battery for baler. Merrill feeling better. He has quit smoking.

June’s 25th birthday. Vern & June joined Minetto Methodist Church today. We went to church. Installation of W.S.C.S. & Guild officers. I went over to Evelyn’s in PM. Hall’s have sold Rebyor farm.

Washed. Wrote Jim. Drawed first load of hay. I drove tractor on baler. Made tan shorts. Hot. Dick LeClaire died today. Edith Barker died 12 years ago today.

W.S.C.S. at church. Rev. & Mrs. Hutchinson given cake & gift from W.S.C.S. They almost didn’t get to party as they were at their camp. We drawed rest of hay. 1 1/2 loads. Nancy R & Betty here in evening.

Vi gave me chenille house coat. Is in today’s paper that Dick LeClaire, 45, died of coronary while drawing hay. Got letter from Jim, Dot, & Vern. Also got letter from Bernard Virck1in accident insurance. Jim is coming in August.

We went to Dick LeClaire’s funeral. Large funeral. I went to city in evening for groceries. Merrill raked hay in evening. Called Vern in morning.

Mohawk airlines begins New York City to Watertown flight arriving at 7:30 PM. Vi, Martha, & I went picking strawberries at Greco’s @ $.25. Got 10 quarts. Roy & Marg here for supper. Jim Matteson worked in PM.

Hot. Jim can’t help today. Merrill & I got load of hay in. Merrill mowed hay in evening. Harry Gonyea, 67, hung himself in his barn this morning.

Family picnic at Vern & June’s. All there but Don, Juanita, Donna & Brenda. We took Mom & other kids. Ken’s there also. Doreen & Cindy came home with us.

Cool. Rained during night & early morning. Drawed load of hay. Kenny, Brenda, & Kim were here in evening.

Jim Matteson helped this afternoon. We finished hay back of rock ledge. Baked cookies, cake, & donuts. Wrote Jim, & Dot LeClaire.

Merrill mowed hay. Rained. Girls. Debbie Hall & I went to Crystal Lake swimming. Mrs. Lenna Presley, Viola’s mother, is buried tomorrow.

Girls & I went to city for groceries. Got Doreen shoes, $3.00. Joe Hack told us he is moving to Clinton County. Merrill baled for Ivan.

I went to city to change battery at Sears for baler. Vern & June here for supper. Left Steven for weekend.

Got letter from Uncle Berle yesterday. We went to city. Got Stevie horse at Century, $10.38. Stevie & I went over to Evelyn’s in evening. Cool.

Kids got back here about 5:30 from Massachusetts. Merrill, Steven, & I went to church. Nice day. Kids brought us alarm clock, flour, & hot plate.

Jeffrey Hall got hurt on bike. I took him & Evelyn to Alexandria Bay hospital, Concussion. Mary & kids were here in PM. Man was here from Legion Magazine.

Went to church. Called at funeral home for Art Gasse. We had picnic at city park with Vern’s. Open House for Martin & Bessie Hagan’s 50th anniversary at Municipal Hall in PM. We went to it.
