Spaghetti dinner & supper. I bought some spaghetti sauce for my lunch. I joined Donna Hall’s $1.00 a week club. Merrill cut legs off on buffet & china closet & put new door knob on bathroom. Merrill got hair cut. Apollo [space] shot successful. First one.

Beautiful day. We went to church. All three choirs sang. Wrote Jim & Vern’s.

Jury duty 10:00-3:30. Got called on case. Got new brown rug at Sears, $77.00. Got letter from Jim & Dot T, & June. Steven bites!

Jury duty 10:30-12:00. Last day of this jury term (11 days). Sent Fran card. Got letter from June.

Put first coat of undercoat on bathroom. Sears brought new rug & barn water heater. Went to 4-H demonstration meeting at city. Lois Ward went with me.

Home Demonstration at Ruth Raymond’s. Good tum out for rose lesson. Beautiful day. Shellacked stair steps.

Cloudy & rainy. I have headache. Merrill worked at back room light. Got letter from June. Sent me stamps enough for medicine cabinet.

Painted bathroom. Waxed kitchen floor in evening. Wrote Jim.

I have headache. Lazy day. We didn’t even go to church. Called Vern’s in evening. They have living room about ready to paper.

Evelyn went back to work. Sent Uncle Berle card & letter. Wrote Mom. Sent fire insurance, $244.88. Painted bathroom final coat. Baked, washed. Got letter from Melba.

Merrill started laying tile in bathroom. Washed my hair. Made doughnuts. Washed.

Made bread. Washed rugs & bed spread. I went to lodge. Took record player. 16 people square danced.

June, Steven, Edith, & Sheila Houtman were here for lunch. I went home with them to help kids paper living room, dining room, & hallway.

June & I started papering living room. Got it done except for border. Steven is so good. Merrill went to city.

We finished papering. Got mess cleaned up about 11:30 PM. Papered dining room & hallway.

Merrill came to Oswego for me. We got kids house settled in AM. Looks so nice. June had a nice dinner. Mom called down to Vern’s.

We worked at bathroom. Put on rest of counter top. Jim’s tax refund came today.

Cold wind. Made rolls. Merrill finished bath tile floor. Charles Hall died of pneumonia.

Wrote Ken’s. Sent Roberta card, letter, & money. Sent Kens $50.00 for beef. Wrote Melba & Elmer. Got letter from Jim. He has sold his car.

Home Demonstration here. Margaret Waters taught bread lesson. We went up to Charles Hall’s, 58, in evening. Merrill got water pipes for water at milk house.

70°. I went to Charles Hall’s funeral with Ruth Eggleston. Merrill & I went to city afterwards. Got medicine cabinet with gold stamps. Got 30 cup percolator from Donna’s club. Mary Hall went to hospital.

Donna & Sharon Hall were here to plan 4-H demonstrations. Lorraine came with them. Merrill got hot water heater hooked up in milk house. Made donuts. Vi called to say Anne & Bob Eggleston have baby girl born last night, 5 pounds, 5 ounces, Allison Ann.

We didn’t go to church as we went out to Mom’s. Ken’s came up also. Mom is doing her living room. I went to church in evening. Mr. Borst showed slides on Africa.

Made sugar molds. I went to Past Grands at Elsie Bacon’s. Wrote Jim.

Merrill’s birthday. Got several cards. Made him birthday pie. Merrill got medicine cabinet light hooked up. I went up to church with Esther Buker in evening to plan open house. Kids called.

Rebekahs. I’m on refreshment committee. Made birthday cake. Martha Brown & Betty Rudes on committee. Merrill got more birthday cards.

I went to city for groceries. Got gift for Mower’s, a 2 section casserole. Got letter & picture from Jim. Wrote Dot & Jim. Merrill finished wiring in bathroom.

Wrote Juanita. Snowing & very stormy & slippery. Made bread. Merrill & I cleaned church parlous for open house.

Open house for Bill & Vi Mower’s 30th anniversary at church. Nice party. Snowing all day. Icy in evening. I took 4-H kids to Demonstration Day at Dexter. Donna & Sharon, Joan & Kathy went to demonstration.

We went to church. Lazy day. I went to church in the evening to see movie, The Will of Augusta Nash.

Bill & Vi’s 30th anniversary. Washed & baked cookies. We went to church board meeting in evening at parsonage.

Beautiful day. Finished ironing. June called. Membership & Evangelism meeting here canceled as Rev. Hutchinson not feeling good. Got letter from Mom. She could see to write on blue paper.

Vern, June, & Steven here all day. Stevie brought me salad mold dish & Grandpa a pound can of Prince Albert. Roads slippery in AM. Kids took cedar chest home with them.

Home Demonstration card party here. Snowy & melting.

Merrill & I went to hospital to see Mary Hall. Got groceries. Got letter from Dot. Sent David card & letter. Wrote Jim.

David’s 12th birthday. Merrill got haircut at Theresa. Frogs are hollering. Washed my hair. Mary Hall came home from the hospital today. We went over to Hall’s in the evening.

Palm Sunday. We went to church, baptism & new members. Lazy day.

Washed. Started cleaning Jim’s room Sent in film.

W.S.C.S. at Addie Klock’s & Edith Seeley. Cleaned on Jim’s room. Got letter from Jim. Made bread. Sent for wallpaper for bathroom.

Wrote Jim. I went to Vern’s in PM. Snowy day. Also rained. I took Stevie a big plastic bunny. Got it at Rosbrooks.

We papered bedroom. I went to new shopping plaza at Oswego with kids. Raining in evening.

Got home from Vern’s at 1:30. I went up to Mom’s on way home. We went to city in PM. Got knob for Jim’s room. I went to communion service.

Changed light in bathroom. Rainy. Cleaned. Changed kitchen furniture. I have a cold. Washed my hair.

Easter Sunday. Rainy. We went to church. Beautiful sermon & 3 choirs sang. Used Sunday School room. We took Easter lily in memory of our dads. We went to Everett Valentine’s for maple syrup.

Beautiful day. My cold better. Made donuts. Finished Jim’s room. Merrill built fence.

4-H at Norma’s. Debbie here in PM to sew. I went to lodge. Wrote Jim.

Sent Jeffrey card. Card party at Ruth Eggleston’s. I went to card party at Ruth’s in evening. Eleanor, Roberta, Holly, Brenda, & Doreen here for supper.

I went to city for groceries. Got new cotton dress at Sears. Real warm day. Judy & Frank Payne moved into their new house.

Warm again today. We went to farewell party at lodge for Evelyn & Leonard Delles who are moving to the other side of Syracuse. Not many out.
