Merrill went to dentist with truck to have teeth fitted. I got my hair cut & set at Harriet’s.

Still cold. Got new lawn mower at Rosenfelts, $64.00. I went to W.S.C.S. at Carrie Thompson’s. Called out home. Roy is in hospital.

Got 2 Venetian blinds at $1.99 at Penneys. Nice day but white frost this morning. Sears brought kitchen rug.

Rainy. Went to Sears at noon. Mom called. Roy went home from hospital today.

Nice today. Got groceries. Got nylon stole at Diana Shop, $2.99. Jim went to dance at Theresa.

Dick Buker & Josephine Perone married. Rainy & cloudy. We put down kitchen rug. Jim went to Joan’s in evening. Dorothy Parr & John Abare killed in plane crash in St. Lawrence River.

We went to church. Used our new grill for first time. Had bar-B-Q chicken. Bill & Vi were here. Joan was here for dinner.

Past Grands went to St. Regis Inn for dinner. Had nice time. Grand day.

Hot & Muggy. Very rainy in evening. Got letter from kids. June is going to teach in Wheaton. Gave myself Richard Hudnut Permanent. Made screen for back room.

I went to lodge. They entertained Past Grands, 16 present. Got cup & saucer.

We went to Mason’s to order dresses for Rebekah staff in evening.

Got 2 tires for front at Sears. Sent Mom card & note. Gave blood for 15th time to Red Cross. Jim paid $10.00 speeding fine at LaFargeville.

I have headache. Did big washing. Nice day.

We went to church. Joan Hatch went with us. Mr. Roy preached. Leah, Claude, Merrill, & I, went out to Mom’s and to Ken’s. Jim did milking. Father’s day. Freezer not working. Took food to Norton’s.

Jim had English Regents exam. Quite warm. Merrill finished planting corn. Rained in night.

Quite cool. Merrill planted garden. Lee Hall worked on freezer. Jim had history Regents.

Very rainy in PM & evening. Jim has summer job at Kettles.

Wrote June & Vern. Sent June card & $5.00 for birthday. Jim’s first day at work. Merrill put cement floor at Kettles.

Freezer isn’t working. Got groceries. Got white strap play shoes, $2.99. Merrill made hay rack at Mary Hall’s.

Did big washing. Lee Hall was here to fix freezer. Merrill & I went to city for carburetor for truck. Jim went to drive in. Jim got first pay check, $26.50. Beverly Saminar has baby boy, Patrick Michael born at 4:30 AM.

Church starts at 9:00 AM for summer. Thunder storms & raining. Freezer isn’t working again. We all went to Crystal Lake to boat races.

Still raining. Jim only worked 3 hours. Merrill worked at Thompson’s building a porch.

Nice today. Got new panty girdle. Merrill worked at Thompson’s. Jim worked 10 hours.

Last Rebekah meeting but I didn’t go. Took car to Plumpton’s for rotor & had ball points in wheels, $38.00. Lyle & Dolores have baby girl.

Merrill finished at Thompson’s.

Swell day. Hot. Jim & Joan went to city for battery but didn’t get one. Got groceries. Carburetor for truck came. Jim got marks. Didn’t pass history.

Beautiful day. Washed, cleaned, & baked. Merrill mowed first hay across road from house. Ate outdoors in evening.

Raining. Mother Tryon, Carl, Leslie, & Grace, were here for dinner. Also Joan Hatch.

I worked today. No riders. Carolyn on vacation. Jim got letter from Vern. Cool.

Mopped & waxed living room & dining room floors. Ironed. had a furnace fire. Cold. Jim went to Theresa. Jay Cullen ran into car by drug store.

Still cold. Fran & I went to Beverly’s to see baby at noon. George & Margaret Waters & Sherie were here. Vi called. Merrill baled first hay.

Merrill & Jim drew hay for first. Very nice day. Church had ice cream social. I went. Huge crowd. Antwerp Drum & Bugle Corps played. Jim went to Joan’s sister’s birthday supper.

Rained hard. JoAnne got laid off today for summer. Got gallon of paint for porch, $7.21.

Jim painted porch floor. I finished ironing. Merrill fixed roof at Gonyea’s. Raining again in PM. Got letter from Uncle Berle. Wrote Dot Talcott.

Baked & cleaned. Got stuff back on porch. Jim went to Joan’s in PM.

Made cake & got things ready for W.S.C.S. picnic meeting. Raining. Signed for McCall’s magazine.

W.S.C.S. here, 25 present. Picnic supper. Mrs. Ronas came to meeting & supper. Jim & Caroline’s 9th anniversary.
