Boys & I went to Sunday School. I had terrible headache. Ben Kiechle was here in evening.

Washed & ironed. Nice day but cool wind. I went to bookkeeping in evening.

Mended about all day long. Gerow was here in evening.

Boys got out at noon. Boys & I cleaned yards. Wrote Elliott. Merrill started building fence. Aunt Keitha, Ethel, & Mrs. Schultz, were here in PM. Merrill & I went to lodge. Men were on refreshment committee.

Grand day. Boys finished cleaning yards. Lyle H. was here with straw. 42 bales.

Rained all night & very windy. Also all day. Vern took eggs up town & Jim got hair cut.

Vern got fishing license. Vern, Jim, & Howard went fishing at Crooked Creek. Vern got ticket for parking. $3.00. Baked cakes & pies.

Easter Sunday. Boys & I went to Easter breakfast. We all went to church. Grand day. Merrill, Jim, & I went up to Uncle Rays in PM. Lila’s were there.

Raining. Merrill & boys went to city after lumber. Took calf to sale. Merrill went to lodge. I have cold. Gloria C.V has baby boy today. Douglas.

Washed clothes. Merrill changed doors on bathrooms. Carl Killenbeck, George & Margaret Waters, were here in evening to make out lodge slips.

Merrill, Jim, & I went to Grange. No Juvenile meeting. Father & Son banquet at church. They didn’t have very good turn out. I have cold. Cheryl & Vickie came.

Flood kids were here to play with girls & Jim. Grand day. Vern sealed up porch.

I was sick in bed about all day. Vern got lumber for Grange stands. P.N. Grands at Carrie T. I couldn’t go. Also 4-H at Kiechle’s.

We all went to city in PM. Gave Vickie a Stanley perm. Cheryl went up to Uncle Rays in evening. Got letter from Mom.

Lula R. birthday. Cloudy day. Vickie went home when boys went to Sunday School. Didn’t go to church. Mowed yards for first. Walked over to back of farm.

Merrill sick today. Aunt Maude & I went to city in AM. Got raspberry bushes. I went to bookkeeping & IOOF party. Did Cancer Drive.

Merrill feeling better. Jim Matteson brought him Sunshine basket from lodge. Raining. Vernon stayed home to help.

Vern didn’t go to school. He has sore throat. I went to Rebekah’s. Lee Hall’s have new car. Sent letter to Albany about car.

Jim came home sick from school Washed clothes. Set out raspberry bushes. Sowed 3# peas.

Grand day. Jim is quite sick with sore throat & flu. I went to bookkeeping in evening. Jim has temperature of 104°.

Jim still quite sick. Bennett’s were here in PM. Merrill burned brush. I have horrid headache.

Vernon, Howard, & Woody went fishing at Moon Lake. Vernon got 2 nice northern pike. Glenn C. taught Vern’s Sunday School class. Merrill very lame & is sore from cold.

Last bookkeeping lesson in adult education. We gave Miss Williams box of candy. Merrill went to lodge. Washed clothes. Jim didn’t go to school.

Jim feeling better but didn’t go to school. I was sick in bed all day. Sore throat & headache. Merrill got letter from Albany.

Jim didn’t go to school. I was in bed about all day. Aunt Maude called to say Grandpa H. is in hospital with pneumonia.

Jim went to school for first. Not up to par yet. Vern dressed 7 chickens for Rebekah’s supper. I’ve felt miserable all day.

Howard went back to hospital at Albany today. Nice day but cool. Mom called in evening to see how we were. Grandpa is coming good. Got package from Spiegel.

Rebekah’s cafeteria supper at Grange Hall. Raining. Rained all night. Merrill went to Antwerp to see lawyer. Grandpa is feeling better all the time. Baked cake & cookies.

Mother’s day. Boys went to Sunday School We all went to church. Jim gave me gift of 2 duck ornaments. Raining. Today is first I’ve been out since Monday.

Washed clothes. Ironed. Merrill went to lodge.

Mopped & waxed rugs down stairs. Went to lodge drill practice. Not feeling very good.

Rained about all day. Merrill helped Killenbeck on Lodge Hall. I went to lodge in evening.

Grand day. We all went to musical at school. Very good. Made white dress.

Turned cows out for first days. Merrill, Vern, & I went to city. Got clothes to go to assembly. Grand day.

Another grand day. Got clothes ready to go to Syracuse tomorrow. Cleaned. turned cows out at night for first.

Boys went to Sunday School. I met Martha Pitts at Philadelphia. Also picked up Irma at the mills. Took 3:00 bus to Syracuse. Went to church in evening.

Went to assembly at 9:30 AM. Took bus tour of Syracuse at 2:30. Got back at 4:30. 8:00 PM attended reception at Memorial building.

Attended regular session. Took assembly degree. School of instruction at 2:30 but we didn’t stay. Went to Ball at Hotel Syracuse in evening.

Attended regular session at 10:00. Also 2:30 session. 8:00 PM went to conferring degree by Chemung County. Past Noble Grands association Degree team.

I got back from Rebekah assembly on 6:00 PM bus. Grand time but good to be home. Merrill planted oats.

Washed clothes. Cloudy & cool. Helen called in evening. Rained in evening.

I went to Achievement Day at city with Helen,Vi, Lois, & Doris. Cool.

Nice day but cool We went out home for dinner. Ken’s were there too. Boys went to Sunday School. Dad gave Vernon $5.00 graduation present.

Grand day. Merrill & I went to city. I went to Dr. Roberts. Have vaginitis. Nothing serious. Marty came home with Jim.

Mother & Daughter banquet. Made about $55.00. I didn’t go. Raining. Marty Rudes came home with Jim again to spend the night.

Lodge. I gave my report on assembly. “Slap” Clyde Hammond died today in Syracuse. Beebe’s have boy.

Cleaned living room. Baked pies, cakes, & doughnuts in evening. Past Grands at Lula’s but I didn’t go. Called Aunt K.

Nellie Holmes died today. Lois W, Margaret W, and Keitha, were here. Jim & I went to 4-H. Vern to band & in to get his hair cut.

Slap’s funeral. Merrill, Aunt Maude, & I went. Fireman’s parade. We all went. Merrill & I went with Rebekah’s to Holmes. We all went to show.

Mrs. Holmes funeral. Boys went to Sunday School. Mom, Dad, Aunt Keitha, & Uncle Earle, were here for dinner & PM. Howard & Evelyn’s second anniversary.
