Jim was sick & didn’t go to school. I went to Past Grands Christmas party at Carrie’s on way home from work. Very windy in evening.

Cold. Got letter from Mom.

Still cold. Work very slow at shop. Virginia didn’t ride at all today.

Very cold. Didn’t go to lodge. We went to Theresa shopping in evening. Virginia didn’t ride in evening.

Roads very slippery at night. Snowing. Made cake & candy.Washed my hair. TV broke. No picture.

Got through work at 11:00. Got $5.00 bonus. No riders home. Very slippery & stormy. Had our tree in evening.

Nice day but slippery roads. We went out home for Christmas. Grandpa Haggerty was there. Ken’s didn’t get up

I didn’t have to work today. Washed clothes. Men took TV to city. Had to have new tube.

Vern started work at Howard’s. TV very good tonight.

Planned party for New Years. Roads slippery. Did ironing in evening.

Had New Years party here. Vi’s, Les & Beulah, & Uncle Ray’s, & girls here. Had nice time. Vern worked at Howard’s. Merrill waxed kitchen floor. Art Haggerty moved to new home today.

Got 1954 Green Chevrolet from Seaker & Graves. Hilyard Seaker brought it over. Had furnace fire in evening. Raining.

Jim’s 18th birthday. Had a picnic supper for him. Kenny, Brenda, Marty, Joanne, Jim, & Joan went to show. Jim got his car (1954 Pontiac) going.

Washed clothes. Merrill finished Les Hall’s roof. Jim took his 1954 Pontiac back in dump. Piston gone on It. Joan called.

Dean Webb, 41 years, died about 10 AM. Graduated with Vern, 1954. Heart. Has daughter, Deanne 16. Merrill run cleaner. I ironed clothes. A beautiful day. 45°. we went to MYF movie at church, “He Restoreth My Soul” by Merrill Womack. Called Vern’s about Dean Webb.
