Ed was here. Swell day. Warm. I took car to Gouverneur in AM. New shock absorbers. Worked in PM. I went to Past Noble Grands district meeting at Theresa. Beulah Hall elected Deputy.

Friday the 13th. Got letter from Dad & Vernon. Dad wrote the letter himself. Vernon has been asked to join Epsilon Pi Tau Fraternity. [An honor fraternity for industrial arts education.]

Ed was here putting on roof. Went to Theresa in PM. Got radio fixed $3.00. Got new skirt. Merrill got work shoes. $7.95. Ironed until 11:30. Marilyn Schell married today.

Raining & windy. Finished ironing. Elmer & Melba & Leslie were here for dinner. They were on their way home from taking Carl to Vermont.

Snow flurries. Cold & rainy. Baked cakes & doughnuts.

Jim & I cleaned his bedroom in evening.

Kind of cold today. Edna Knapp has 1950 Pontiac car. $595.00.

Got pictures of 50th anniversary party back. Not bad. Ground white with snow.

Ground covered with snow in morning. Nellie had cast off but had another put on. Didn’t ride home.

Took car to Gouverneur in morning to have brakes fixed. Merrill & Jim went over after Boyce & Buddy. Thunder storm in evening. 4-H met at Coopers, but Jim didn’t go.

Pauline & Garmon & kids were here for dinner. Boys went home with them.

Washed clothes in evening. Cold.

Did ironing in evening. Don’t feel too good. Very dizzy.

Still cold. Snow flurries. Have felt horrid all day. Didn’t go to lodge. Went to bed early.

More spring like today. Warmer & cloudy. Myrtle Duff called. Jim got hair cut after school.

Thunder storms all night long. Past Grands at Beulah’s but I didn’t go. We went to solo night at Theresa. Jim had to sing. Very good. Carolyn Seeley went to hospital.

Went to Theresa for groceries. Had my hair cut, washed, & set at Joan’s at Theresa. $2.25. Went to Dr. Drayers. Gave me pills for dizziness.

Raining & snowing all day. Jim & I went to church. Daylight saving time started. Jim Seeley called. Carolyn came home today.

Still dizzy some. Cold today & rainy.

Jim didn’t go to school. Was sick. Warm in PM. Did washing & ironing in evening. Francis Belile’s mother died today. Got letter from Melba.

Rainy & colder. Wrote letter to Vernon. Jim didn’t go to school. He is feeling better.

Mrs. Pilbeam rode to city this morning with us. Sunny but cold. Mabel Chapin died today.

Snow flurries today. Rainy. Got letter from Mom. Tornado hit out there last Sunday. Blew down hay barn.

Had my hair washed & set at Joan’s. Got groceries. Went up to Chapin’s in evening.

Jim & I went to church. Jim went fishing in PM. Mabel Chapin’s funeral.

Washed clothes in evening. Very cold. Windy.

Edna & I went downtown at noon. Got groceries at A&P.

I went to lodge. They put on degree for Prudence Filburn & Mrs. Cragen. Got home at 12:30.

Still cold & rainy. I went up to Beulah’s in evening to try on formal dress. Did underarm darts today.

Went down town at noon & got Mom a dress. Have headache. Got Mother’s day card from Vern.

Thunder storms during night. Warm today. Seems good. Ed was here working. Nellie had cast off her foot.

Mother’s day. We went home. Took Mom a dacron dress. 24 1/2. Fit her good.

Colder & cloudy. Rained in PM & during night.

Rained all day long. Had a few snow flurries in places today.

Mother & Daughter banquet. Mary Hall & girls went with me. Very nice. Church was packed.

Got 25 grave markers & flag at Odd Fellows Record for lodge. Washed clothes in evening.

Rained all day. Took car to garage to have brakes fixed. We went to city in PM. Got spreads, curtains, & rugs for boy’s room. Also got couch & rug. Went to 4-H at Carl Allen’s. Went up to Snack Bar for first.

Quite nice today. I worked all day cleaning house. Mary Hall & girls were here in AM.

Paul Kiechle’s 37th birthday. Gave him funny card. Wrote letter to Vernon.

Quite warm today. Sure seems good. Merrill planted peas.

Stormed hard during night. Cold today. I went to lodge. Went to Theresa after groceries first.

Cold all day. Got my income tax back today. $144.76. Waxed living room & kitchen floors.

Vernon & Dave [Smith. Vernon’s college roommate.] got here about 6:30. We drove up across camp in evening. Stopped at the Snack Bar. Past Noble Grands at Elsie Bacon’s but I didn’t go.

Turned out cows for first day & night. Vernon & Dave left about 2:00 PM. Mrs. Gleason, Mary, & Joanne, were here in evening. Quite nice all day but raining. Pat Thibault has baby girl born today. Valerie Mae.

Rained all last night and all day. We went to church. Mr. & Mrs. VanOrman attended. He is retired now. Goes to Cherry Valley.

Cool today. I went to Globe at noon & ordered lodge formal. Got black linen for sheath dress. Also white bag.

Jim got out of school until June 4th. Swell day today. Warm.
