Got home at 2:00 AM. Washed clothes.

Took Vernon to city at 6:00 PM. We all went. Jim & I did ironing.

Back to work. Had all my riders today. Mrs. Hagan went to hospital with pneumonia

Roads very slippery. Very tired tonight. Merrill went to meeting at Philadelphia on Income tax.

I went to Home Bureau at Mary Beebe’s in evening. Meat lesson

Got 2 new hats at $1.00 each. Roads bare. Jim & I went to basketball game in evening. Bennett’s were here in PM.

Merrill & I went to Gouverneur. Got green Orlon sweater. Had work done on car. Gas pedal. Cold today.

We went to church. went up to Aunt Cora’s in PM. Aunt Lyla & Uncle Sam Tift were there. Sleeting in evening.

IOOF installation. We went. Jim stayed at Martha’s. About 50 present.

Tired today.Very warm.

Carl Brown came home with Jim to spend the night. Rainy. I was sick in evening. Got letter from Mom. They have TV now.

Don’t feel too perky today. Raining & freezing in evening. Roads slippery.

Friday the 13th. School nurse brought Jim home sick. He cut his finger on blade in PM at home. Wrote Mom & Vernon

Merrill didn’t feel good today. Intestinal grippe. He & Jim got hair cuts at Theresa. Cleaned.

Washed clothes. Grand day. Clothes all dried swell. Margaret & George were here in PM. Jim went to Schell’s.

Merrill went to lodge. Kind of cold

Swell day. Roads like summer again. Took Jim to Theresa to get to game at Antwerp.

Swell day. Mrs. Eggleston called to invite us to card party for March of Dimes.

We went to card party at Eggleston’s. Nice time. Kind of cold.

Jim & I went to game. Theresa & Lyme Central. Grand day. & evening. Walter VanTassel came home with Jim. Got letter from Vernon.

Walter went home about 5:00. Cleaned & baked. Made out income tax.

Snowing some. Didn’t go to church. Finished ironing. Ethel Wagner died today. 71 years.

Merrill went to lodge.

Merrill went to lodge at LaFargeville with Martin R. Swell day. Aunt Keitha called me at shop to say Ethel Wagner was dead.

Swell day. Initiation at lodge. About 80 present. Got two new dresses at Denny’s. Light blue & navy. Ethel’s funeral.

Light snow. Merrill paid car insurance. Jim didn’t have to go to school. He spent the day at Donnie Brown’s.

Joined Ida M. Robinson’s club. Swell day. Took Mary Newbery home to Antwerp. Got groceries & took my coat to cleaners.

Grand day. Went to Theresa in PM. I went to Past Grands at Vi’s in evening. My first meeting as President.

Washed clothes in morning. We went to church. Jim went up to Schell’s in PM.

Very stormy. Started snowing about 10:00 AM. Jim got home early from school. Sybil Felt fell & broke her wrist.

Jim has first polio shot. Got letter from Vernon. Fritz, his parakeet, died Sunday. Roads not too bad today.

Swell day. Got my tan coat from Pine Cleaners. Roads all bare again.

Snowing & raining. Roads slippery. Nellie didn’t ride home. Wrote Vernon. We went to church to hear Missionary from Malaya.

Edna Knapp’s 40th birthday. Nice day but cold. Jim went to game at Black River.

We went out home. We hit a little dog in Lorraine but didn’t hurt him. Stopped at Johnies on way out for fruit.

Swell day. Quite warm. Cleaned & baked. Ironed.

Got letter from Vernon. Sent his marks. Very good.

Fred LeClair’s (next door) have baby boy born today. Jim went to game at Philadelphia. We went up to Uncle Rays in evening to see Grandpa Haggerty.

Washed & ironed. Went to Theresa in PM. Nice day but snowed in evening.

Snowing in AM. Finished ironing & cleaned.

Roads very slippery in AM. Pauline, Garmon, & kids were here in evening. Betty H. went to hospital for tests.

Raining about all day. Wrote Mother Tryon & Betty.

Carl Brown came home with Jim. Boys & I went to Theresa to see town team play. Had chicken supper.

Merrill went to Antwerp with Howard. Got me box of Valentine candy.

I went to Mary Schultz’s for lunch. Called Evelyn. Mom was in city to see Betty. She went home with Uncle Len.

Nellie & Josephine were in accident on way to work. Merrill & I went to Gouverneur. Very slippery. Snowy.

Worked all day. Didn’t go to church.
