Merrill was bearer at Clifton Arnold’s funeral. Rained in PM & evening. Took Vernon to city at 9:00 PM.

Quite warm today. Sent card to Dad Tryon.

I had W.S.C.S. meeting here in evening. 22 present. Swell day.

Grand day. Tired today.

Rained all day. Washed my hair in evening. Merrill subscribed for magazine, Woodworking. Merrill worked at Halls.

Pauline Gramon & kids were here in evening. Boyce stayed over.

Boyce, Jim, & I went to Gouverneur. Got exhaust on car fixed. Boyce was sick in evening.

Worked all day. Merrill & Jim took Boyce home in evening. Gave myself Prom.

Jim went home with Walter VanTassel for evening.

Got letter from Mom & Eleanor. Ken’s are coming Sunday. Snowed in city all day. Nellie paid me $5.00.

Roads slippery this morning near city. Lots of girls late for work because of snow storm. We didn’t get any here.

Wrote Vernon. Merrill worked at Hall’s.

Raining in evening. Jimmy didn’t have to go to school. No mail. Washed my hair.

Grand day. I took car to Gouverneur. $40.34. Got 2 new cotton dresses. Pierced my ears in evening.

Ken, Eleanor, & Roberta came for dinner. Grand day. I washed clothes. Baked pies & cakes. Cleaned.

Had bad thunder storms during night. Power was off awhile.

Jim went to first basketball game at LaFargeville. Coach brought him home.

Snowy & windy. Roads beginning to get slippery. Ken & Eleanor’s 9th anniversary.

Roads very slippery. Wind is terrible. Almost blew the car off the road. Lots of damage.

We went to basketball game at Theresa. Played Antwerp. Ann, Edna, Marion, & I went up to Ethel’s for lunch. Nice time.

I have headache. Jim got hair cut. Merrill went to Mills. Cold & snowy. 4-H meeting at Neville’s. Got letter from Vernon.

Ironed clothes & cleaned. Merrill went up to Philadelphia in PM. Snowing. Bennett girls were here in evening. Also Howard Hall.

Cold, cloudy day. Marion, Ethel, Edna, & I went to Ann’s for lunch. Got letters & cards from Mom, Marg, & Uncle Berle.

Vernon came home for vacation. Got in the city at 5:30. Got 10 K gold earrings. $5.00.

Raining. Got turkey ready to roast.

Thanksgiving. We went out home for dinner. Dad’s, Don’s, & us there. Snowing some out there.

I had to work today. Shopped. Vernon worked on Howard’s house.

Washed. Washing machine motor went up. Nice day. Merrill & Vernon finished Hall house.

Pauline, Garmon, & kids were here. Have new car. Merrill was sick all night & today. George Waters was here. Took Vernon to city in evening.

Terrible stormy. Could hardly see to drive in morning. We didn’t have any trouble. Baked cakes & cookies.

Roads not so slippery today. Paul put heater hose on car.

Sam Steele’s barn burned this morning. 38 cows & milking machinery lost.

We went to basketball game at Theresa. Cold. Roads slippery. Got package at Grants at noon.

Doris & Freddie Aynes house burned to ground. Talked with Vi & Ceil Allen. Merrill & Jim went to Philadelphia in PM.

Raining & freezing on. Very slippery.

Mary Newbery from Antwerp started riding this morning. Sent order to Spiegel. Wrote Vernon & Mom. Merrill went to lodge.

W.S.C.S. Christmas party at church. I didn’t go. Don’t feel too good tonight.

I was sick & came home from work early. Voted on school site. Grand day.

Nice day but cold. Feel kind of dizzy today. Boys got package from Uncle Berle.

Jim & I went to game at Theresa. Played Philadelphia. Jimmy Drake died today. Did shopping at noon. Aunt Maude called.

Jim got eyes examined. $8.00. Didn’t have to have glasses. His eyes are much better. We did Xmas shopping. Sent Uncle Berle pajamas. Got window candles.

Got yellow gold wedding band for anniversary. Jim is sick with sore throat.

Merrill went to lodge. Wrote Mom & Uncle Berle. Nellie didn’t ride at all.

Edna & I went downtown at noon. Got tree from Boy Scouts. $2.00. Put it up in evening. Nellie didn’t ride home.

Rebekah’s Christmas party. I didn’t go. Tired tonight & roads very icy. Roger Livingston slid into my car this morning. No damage.

Home Bureau Christmas party at Mary Beebe’s. I didn’t go. Wrapped gifts in evening.

Past Grands Christmas party at Vivian Myers. I went. Vi was my secret pal. Gave me earrings. Vern called this morning. Came home with me tonight. Jim went to game at Theresa.
