Merrill & I went to city. Dad, Mom, Ken & Eleanor were out to doctors to see about Dad’s eye. Is OK. Still rainy. Got bushel of pears & tomatoes.

Too wet to thresh. Merrill helped fill silo at Webb’s in PM. Canned tomatoes. Baked.

We went to Uncle Len’s to a Haggerty Reunion. 55 present. Elected officers. President Aunt Keitha,Vice President Marg Pitkin, & Secretary/Treasurer Len Haggerty. Took truck to garage to have tire fixed.

Washed & ironed. Canned tomatoes & pears. Merrill helped thresh at Rappole’s. We saw the “Bee Liner” train go by on it’s first trip on the track on our place.

Ice cream social at church. Good crowd. Grand evening for it. Had another flat tire on truck. Merrill threshed at Rappole’s. Canned tomatoes. Got retread tire.

Lodge. 1st meeting this fall. I went. Real warm. Canned tomatoes & pears. Merrill threshed at Rappole’s.

Shower at Leah’s for Doris Aynes. I went. Doris got a lot of nice things. Vi & I went to Antwerp in morning. Merrill threshed at Steele’s & Rappole’s.

Rained. Merrill started plowing for first. Fireman’s convention starts. Vernon played in band at night. Sent pictures.

Merrill filled silo at Bechards. Fireman’s parade etc. We went over in evening. Orv, Angie, & kids were here & stayed all night.

Took 1st sewing lesson at city. (Bethany Church) for wool dress. Went out with M. Coon. Merrill threshed at Steele’s.

Merrill threshed at Steele’s & Hardy’s (Jim). I went to Grange. Glenda Sharkey had appendix operation. Sent for wool samples. Order to Spiegel.

Merrill threshed at Hardy’s. I was sick in PM & evening. Gave 1st sewing lesson on wool dress at Vi’s.

Vernon’s birthday. Made him a cake. Helen & I went to Home Bureau Officer’s Training School at city.

Canned pears, tomatoes, mince meat, & spiced pears. Helen & I went over to Doris Webb’s to see wedding cake she made Janet Miller.

Janet Miller & Bob Rosbrook married today.

Washed. Canned tomatoes, plums. Ironed. Merrill helped fill silo at Carl K.

Rained. Set up kitchen stove. Got new pipes & stove board. Made mince meat.

Got 2 new truck tires. Merrill filled silo at Rappole’s. Rebekah election of officers. I was elected Vice Grand. First frost last night.

No school. Conferences. Took boys out home. Got Teddy collar & leash. Merrill got shoes. $7.45. Rained so Merrill went out home too.

Merrill & I went to show. Got package from Spiegel. Gave myself Toni. Merrill filled silo at Watts & Bacon’s. Buel Dunn dropped dead today. Got wool samples.

We went out home after boys. We all went to Ken & Eleanor’s for dinner. Took Teddy out for first time. Doris Webb was here in evening.

Rebekah’s last meeting. I went with Geneva to dinner & Lodge meeting. Went to Buel Dunn’s funeral. Sent for wool for dress. Merrill went to Lodge.

Took 2nd dress lesson. Vivian went with me. Lost my pocket book but found it OK. Merrill plowed all day.

Didn’t have Juvenile Grange because of church for Catholic kids. Merrill filled silo at Bechard’s.

Stanley Party at Helen K. for Home Bureau. I went. Went to Home Bureau Decorative Stitching at Rosie Hulberts. Merrill helped fill at Bechard’s.

Real warm. Mr. Putnam, Zelda’s father, died today. Fred Chapin hung himself this noon. Merrill finished filling silo at Rappole’s for this year.

We all went to city. Vernon got electric motor. $26.50. Merrill got new Lodge pants. I started green formal for Lodge. Quite cold. Sent for Grange Jewel.

Still quite cold. We all went to church. Rained hard in PM.

Rainy & windy. Had Home Bureau meeting at Helen’s in PM. Gave 2nd sewing lesson.

Went over to Vi’s in PM to get skirt hung. Doris Webb’s brother died.

Rebekah’s installation. We all went. I was installed as Vice Grand. 120 there.

I went over town in AM. Got wool dress [material]

Grange installation. No school. We all went to Grange supper & installation. Nice turnout & good time. Cleaned & washed kitchen floor.

Baked & worked on dress. Grand day but kind of cold. Kept cows in for first evening.

Grand fall day. We drove up to Don’s in PM.

Washed & ironed. Merrill went to Lodge.

Took 3rd dress lesson. Vivian went with me.

Grange. Vernon & I went to Grange. I went with Grangers to Mrs. Lehr’s funeral. Visited school.

Had Home Bureau meeting here. 13 present. Terrarium & dish gardens.

Merrill & I went to city. Mother & Dad Tryon, Melba, & Kessel came at night.

They cut wood all day. Mother & Dad & I went to cemetery at Natural Bridge in PM. Planted iris & tulips.

Called Mom. Their 37th anniversary today. Mother Tryon, Melba & I went for ride. Men cut wood until Kessel’s saw quit.

The Tryon’s left today. Washed clothes. Cut out wool dress. Jim was sick & didn’t go to school. Merrill went to Lodge.

Ironed. Baked & cleaned. Gave 3rd dress lesson at Doris Webb’s.

Merrill finished plowing. I went to Lodge. My first meeting as Vice Grand. Was on supper committee. Went over town in PM. Dress wool came but was Vivian’s. Rained hard in AM.

Cold & rainy. Worked on wool dress. Wool came for Home Bureau dresses. Called several about Juvenile food sale Saturday.

Grand day. Merrill & I went out home. Got new shoes. $2.99. Got 4 pair of Venetian blinds for rest of windows.
