74° and 54° . Mostly sunny day. I was sick all PM. Upset stomach and bowels. Jolie and Madison got here form North Carolina tonight. Left NC at 6:30 AM. They and Shawn Michael here until 9:30 PM. Will be back tomorrow. Michael Phelps won eight gold medals in swimming. Vi, Sally and Angie here.

Also went to Philadelphia. Saw June Ridsdale at our old farm. All grown up to trees. David Smith and his 40 cats rent farm from June. Jim and Susan live in trailer toward Philadelphia with 10 cats. Vi and Sally here. Jolie went to Jill’s in the evening.

A sunny day. I’m not feeling very good. I have diarrhea real bad all day. In bed part of day. Today is our Centennial picnic at 5 PM in Metcalf room. I couldn’t go but Sally brought me a meal. Beverly put it up for me. Jolie and Madison here in evening. They went to Patty’s for supper up at the river. Shawn Michael also. Madison hated to leave her big brother. She wore a sweatshirt of his home.

A great day. Madison and Jolie left Jims at 6:30 AM. Got home about 6:30 PM. She called me twice. Doreen was here. I slept most of the day. Didn’t get dressed all day. I’ve lost five pounds. Sally has been here a few times. Vi came for paper.
