Diary Entry for 2/20/1998

Foggy, cloudy. Juanita called about 7 AM to say Don died last night about 10 PM in Samaritan. They had moved him there from Genesis. They called Juanita about 7 PM. Doreen and kids took her to hospital. I called Vern, Jim, and Lyla. Merrill went to day care. I called to see how he was doing. He told them about Don. Vern called in PM to ask if I had heard anymore. Don had Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s. He dies of Cardiac arrest. I called Esther. Don’s funeral Monday at 11 at Lorraine Church followed by a dinner at church. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 PM at Piddocks funeral home. I called Vern, Lyla. Called Vi, Julie and baby home.
