Merrill put in some of the new storm windows. Did some Christmas shopping at noon. Sent very first Xmas card to June.

Sent first Christmas cards. Nice day but snowing in late PM. Jim went to basketball game at Lowville. JV’s won. Cleaned. Did kitchen curtains. Stopped at Seaway Plaza.

Vernon got home at 2:45 AM. Left Maryland at 2:00 PM. Merrill & I went to Lyle & Dolores Hanson’s wedding reception. Boys got tree & put it up. Went to basketball game at Philadelphia. Jim played.

Grand day but cold. 10°. Lazy day. Wrapped presents.

Quite cold. Vern’s car wouldn’t start. Made vegetable soup. Fran & I walked downtown & shopped.

Still cold. Jim got out of school today. Sent rest of cards. Washed my hair.

Finished shopping at last. Men went to city shopping. I didn’t go to lodge.

Got out of work at 11:00 with pay Some of us went to M&J for pizza. Boys cleaned house. Had our tree in evening. All got nice gifts. Jim got shot gun.

Not much snow. We went out home for diner & tree. Nice time & nice day but cloudy.

Washed spreads. Marty came over to spend night. Jim & Marty went to dance at Theresa. Merrill put on rest of storm windows.

Vernon left for Rochester at 8:00. Lew Forton rode down with him. Mother Tryon, Leslie, & Grace, were here for dinner. I fell on porch & hurt my back

Snowy & slippery. I didn’t go to work as I’m pretty sore. Ironed. Took out tree.

I didn’t go to work. Merrill mopped kitchen floor. I waxed it. Did big wash & ironing.

June & Vern got here about 9:00 PM. Very slippery. Baked pies & cake.

Beautiful day. Everything frosty. Merrill, Jim, & I, went to city. June & Vern went out with Howard & Evelyn. Jim went to dance at Theresa. Foggy in evening.
