Didn’t work today. Rained all night & most forenoon. Washed clothes. Made black & blue dresses. Ironed.

Warm & muggy. Rained about all day. Made bag like blue dress. Talked with Helen. Got letter from Mom.

Rained all night & most of day. Merrill went to Philadelphia with Lynn. Got income check cashed.

We went to city & out home. Saw Uncle Berle for first. Bought new glider for porch.

Rained all night & in AM. Washed in PM. Baked cookies & cake. Jim Matteson was here in evening.

Vernon get out of school. Went after him in PM. Uncle Berle went with me. Merrill planted garden. Uncle Berle came home with us.

Quite cold, cloudy. Rained some. Vern started work for Rosbrook. Merrill planted tomato plants.

They brought porch glider. Merrill put it together in evening.

Swell day. I went to Joan’s in evening & got my hair cut & set. Edna Knapp got hers cut too. Got note from Eleanor wanting us to go to park on Sunday.

Nice day. Uncle Berle went over to Wallace’s with Carleton Alton for the day. We went after him in evening. Got porch chairs.

Quite nice today. Jim played first baseball game in AM. Walter VanTassel came home with him. Vern, Uncle Berle, Merrill, & I went to city.

Went to park on picnic. Rained. Ken’s were there. Don’s, & Dad’s didn’t come. Uncle Berle went back to Adams with Ken’s. Walter went home.

Did some washing in evening. Seems good to have it warm.

I was installed at D.D.G. Secretary at lodge. Past Noble Grands night also. Warm. 90°

Worked in garden in evening. About everything up.

I have had horrid headache all day. Edna & I went downtown at noon. Judy O’Dette’s 40th birthday. Jim had tests.

Merrill planted first oats. Very late because of the very wet weather.

Mom’s birthday. Father’s day also. Mom, Dad, Grandpa Haggerty, Don, Juanita, & kids were here for dinner. Nice day but cool. George & Margaret here in evening.

Bessie Hagan started riding to city. Quite cool today. Jim doesn’t have to go to school until Friday morning.

Ironed in evening. Washed. Jim drove tractor for Art Hall.

I went with Past Noble Grands to New Parrot for supper. Went to reception for Irene Higgins, assembly chaplain.

Jim went on bus to picnic at Crystal Lake. Sleepy today. Gave myself Lilt very curly perm in evening. Merrill signed for Successful Farming. Merrill started planting corn.

Went to Theresa 2 times. Rained so Merrill couldn’t plant corn. Vernon worked until 3:00 PM. Sent June Rockwood $2.00 for graduation.

Sunny today. Nellie & Freeman were here. Quiet day. Busy all day.

Donna Dickson started riding. Warmer today. Got notice Vernon is on Dean’s list for 4th time. Jim went over to Marty Rudes.

I went to lodge in evening. Last meeting until fall.

Cold. Merrill helped Lynn put on sheet rock at Art Hall’s. Susie Haggerty broke leg on bicycle.

Bought $65.00 suit from Jennie. Vacation starts. No vacation pay. Cold today. We went up to plaza at noon.

Merrill mowed lawns. Merrill, Jim, & I, went to city. Paid Kamargo’s for couch & rug.

Jim & I went to Crystal in morning. Merrill, Jim, & I drove up to Uncle Len’s but they weren’t home. Stopped at Art & Doris’

Vi, Myrtle, & I, went to city in morning to see about staff dresses. Mine was big. Merrill & I went to Gouverneur in PM. Stopped at Gladys Lamson’s. Got crate of berries at Johnies. $5.35.

Swell day. Washed clothes. Cleaned. Merrill cultivated corn for first. Vern picked wild berries for supper.

We all went to Adventure Town in PM. First time. Jim had a grand time. Vern didn’t have to work.

Got 1954 Green Chevrolet from Seaker & Graves. Hilyard Seaker brought it over. Had furnace fire in evening. Raining.

Rainy & cold. Wrote Gerow about insurance. Wrote Mrs. Caird. Marty Rudes spent night with Jim. We went to Starlight Drive In.

Baked cookies. Finished ironing. Got letter from Mom. Marty went home in AM.

Warm today. We went to horse show on new school site sponsored by firemen. Mr. & Mrs. Bennett were here awhile when we got home. Vernon worked today.

Back to work. Girls all rode except Caroline who is on vacation. First day with 1954 car.

We went down town at noon. Put money in bank for Vernon.

Rained again. Donna paid me for week’s ride in advance. $2.50. Friday the 13th.

Elmer, Melba, Freddie, & Charlene came on vacation. Merrill & I went to Gouverneur. Got new plaid skirt at Theresa.

We went to Alexandria Bay, Clayton, Etc. Vernon worked all day at Howard’s. Aunt Esther called for Mom. Charlene started walking.

We all went out home in evening to see Uncle Berle. He starts for home tomorrow. Elmer’s went to the park. Jim went to city.

Beulah Hall’s birthday. Quite nice today but cool in evening. Mailed Beulah a Secret Pal gift.

Elmer & Jim went fishing. Got two nice perch. Freddie was sick in evening. They all went swimming at Crystal. Elmer picked peas & I froze them.
