Merrill filled silo at Bechard’s. Got letter from Vernon Congdon. Got hospitalization policy.Baked pies & cakes. Ironed. Talked with Elsie & Aunt Maude & Esther B.

Vernon sick with cold. We didn’t go to church. Cleaned desk.

Washed & ironed. Vernon didn’t go to school. Merrill went to Lodge in evening. Bill Smith died today. Nettie Smith’s husband.

Took Vernon down to Dr. Draper. Said he almost had pneumonia. Merrill filled silo at Bechard’s. I went to Glamor party at Vi’s.

Rebekah’s District Meeting at Watertown. Leah & Myrtle went with me. Had nice time. Hazel Backus was installed as Deputy for District. Clover Donovan as ours.

Got letter from Mom. Jim came home sick from school. Temperature 102°. Talked with Vi, Myrtle, Aunt Maude & Beulah. Vi’s cold is much looser today.

Jim didn’t go to school. Helen & kids were over. I have a cold now. Cloudy. Merrill painted on barn roof. Vernon has been out of school all week.

Merrill finished painting barn roofs today. Talked with Helen & Aunt Maude. Said Orv & Angie were coming out there tomorrow. Did mending.

Home Bureau sewing lesson at Watertown. Glady Mercer went to lesson with me. Got Vernon new sneakers. Raining. Brought another 2 loads of lime.

Cloudy & cold. Washed kitchen ceiling. Went over to Helen’s in evening. Charles is sick. Merrill & I went over to Mrs. Hagan’s in evening & got books straightened out.

Blacked pipes & stove. Baked. Called Edith & said we would be out tomorrow.

Went to Barkers for dinner. Stopped at Dad’s & Merrill’s folks.

Lodge election of officers. I was elected Secretary again. Took second dress lesson. Was in YMCA. Rained hard all day long. Jim was in bed all day.

No school. Went to Home Bureau food lesson in high school.Wet & cloudy.

No school. Painted kitchen walls. Run out of paint. We all went to Booster night at Grange.

First frost of the season last night. Finished painting kitchen walls. Went to party at Doris & Freddie’s for Leah & Claude.

Frost again last night. Drove out home in PM. Also to Uncle Berle’s & Beulah’s

Washed clothes. Gave Aunt Maude permanent (hot) Merrill went to Lodge.Worked on dress.

Myrtle Duff had heart attack last night. Went to W.S.C.S. Went to IOOF doings at Lodge.

Grand day. Took third Home Bureau lesson. Got Vernon first sheet music. Grange installation. We didn’t go.

Worked on dress. Did baking. Rainy.Went over to Helen’s to plastic party.

Rally day supper at church. We all went. Vernon played clarinet.

Buster & Marie were here for dinner. Nice day. We all went to church. They took Addie Klock to hospital last night.

Merrill & I went out home. Merrill helped Dad finish filling silo. Took calf to sale. Merrill went to Lodge in evening.

Awfully warm. Washed & ironed. Merrill fell & hurt arm. Went to doctors with it. He didn’t go to Lodge.

Another grand day. Vi, Zelda, & I went to Memorial Bridge & Redwood to Lodge.

Took 4th & final dress lesson at city. Raining as usual. Went to Lodge in evening.

Made pie for church Chamber of Commerce supper. Stopped in to see Myrtle.

Vernon was sick & didn’t go to school. Open Rebekah installation. We all went . I was installed as Secretary again. 160 there. Sent for Rebekah rings.

Grand day. Merrill finished plowing today. 45 acres. Cleaned, baked, & washed kitchen curtains.

Went out to Uncle Earle’s & Alice’s in PM. Grand day. Called Mom.

Merrill & I went out home. Merrill helped Dad plow. Merrill went to Lodge in evening. Stopped at Marg’s.

Washed clothes. Went over town in PM.

I went to city with Leah & Doris all day. Got floor lamp for Dad & Mom’s anniversary. Vernon fixed party favors for Sunday.

Home Bureau food lesson at Elsie Bacon’s. I went with Leah.Went to Rebekah Installation at Theresa with Zelda, Vi, & Esther in evening.

Cloudy. Got letter from Juanita. Rebekah rings came. Mom & Dad’s 35th wedding anniversary.

Merrill, boys, & I went to city. Got Jim new new suit. Made anniversary cake for Mom.

Anniversary supper party out home for Mom & Dad. About 40 there. They sure were surprised.

Washed & ironed. Washed & dyed sun porch curtains. Merrill went to Lodge. They have new dart baseball board.

Washed bedroom curtains. Baked. Installation at Natural Bridge. I didn’t go. Kept cows in for first night this fall.

Cleaned & washed some of kitchen wood work. Got letter from Mom. Went to Lodge in evening.

Started painting kitchen wood work. Uncle Lloyd and Dexter Pitkin was here. Got letter from Marg.
