School starts today. Washed clothes. Gave Aunt Maude Toni wave. Aunt Maude & I stayed with Cora Haley all night. Talked with Vi.

Talked with Lula, Irene, Aunt Maude. Went to Lodge in evening. First meeting this fall.

Milk tester came. Merrill filled silo at Webb’s.

Tester left. Merrill helped fill silo at Bacon’s. Talked with Aunt Maude. Mrs. Williams called me.

Called Marg. Sunday School picnic at Buck Creek. Boy & I went. Cold. Not feeling very good.

Nice day. Boys went to Sunday School. Talked with Marguerite.

Washed clothes. Aunt Maude gave me Toni wave. Talked with Beulah, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Palms, & Helen.

Went out with Mrs. Williams selling magazines for the church. Went with Emma collecting for church. paint fund. Arthur Haggerty was in accident Saturday night, Sept. 11.

First frost this fall. Grange. We didn’t go. Canned tomatoes & ironed. Talked with Mrs. Williams, Myrtle, Zelda & Beulah.

Stanley Party at Vi’s. Real hard frost last night. Wrote Mom & sent letter to Sears. Merrill helped fill silo at Bechard’s.

Lodge doings at Watertown. I went with Nita Junne. Very good turkey dinner. $1.75. Merrill filled silo at Bechard’s.

Merrill went over to see doctor about his finger. Gave him penicillin shot. Canned plums, mincemeat & pickles. Uncle Ray helped milk.

Uncle Berle helped milk this morning. Merrill went to doctor again. Went out home for dinner. Stopped at Adams & Marg’s. Howard & Ceil’s Anniversary.

Canned 11 pints corn & 4 pints chili sauce. Aunt Maude gave me corn. Merrill went to doctor in PM for shot of penicillin.

Vernon’s birthday (12 years) Canned 6 pints corn. Baked bread. Washed clothes. Made Vernon birthday cake. He got several cards.

Lodge. Ironed clothes. Went to Lodge in evening. Election of officers. I was elected secretary. They are painting church & parsonage.

I went out all day with Mrs. Williams selling magazines. Merrill dug ditches with scraper. Jim Hardy helped.

Wrote Mom letter about birds. Aunt Maude & I went to city. Was in to see Sears new store that opened yesterday.

Party at Flaherty’s for Howard & Ceil, & Leah & Claude. Good turn out & good time. I made anniversary cake. Sent my watch to Sears.

Cora Haley died at 10:30 today. Leah & Claude’s 12th anniversary. We all went to church. The church looks so nice with new coat of paint. We went for ride in PM.

Took calf to sale. Merrill got new vice. Leah’s birthday. Talked with Leah, Helen & Aunt Maude. Boys, Aunt Maude & I went to show. Merrill went to Lodge. Washed clothes.

Nice day. Real warm. Got letter from Mom. Cora Haley’s funeral. I went. Rebekah’s had service at grave.Dad sent Merrill new water heater. Vernon went to first Boy Scout meeting.

Aunt Maude was over & made Cheryl’s dress. Went over town in morning selling Jello [?] cards & collecting $1.00

Aunt Maude & I went to city. Got Jim new clothes. Vernon sneakers for school. We all went to free show in evening. Ozark Mountain Boys. Power was off in evening.

Cheryl’s 2nd birthday. Canned pears & crabapple conserve. Rainy. First rain in weeks.

Cleaned kitchen floor. Sent for curtain stretchers. Also Xmas cards.

We went to church. Went for a ride in PM.

Washed & ironed. Aunt Maude & Pearl were over in evening. Merrill went to Lodge. I went over town in PM collecting on slips, cards. etc.

Vernon went to Boy Scout meeting. Marg’s birthday. W.S.C.S meeting at Leah’s. Mrs. Waful was there on behalf of W.S.C.S. Went to Evans Mills to installation in evening.

Grange. We went. Pearl & I did play again. The Failings & Hutton’s were there. Went over town in AM.

I have a cold. Went to installation at Theresa. Marg called to say they would be out this weekend. Finished dress.

Called Mom. Raining believe it or not. First in ages. Cleaned. Milk tester came. Merrill kept cows in barn tonight.

Cleaned & baked. Roy & Marg came this PM. Uncle Ray & Cheryl & Vickie were here in evening. Milk tester left. Test 3.47 this time.

Twins birthday. 6 years. Cold. Roy & Marg left about 6:00 PM. Aunt Cora called.

Vernon didn’t have to go to school. Took Mother out bird from Mrs.Thibault. $10.00. Dad isn’t feeling very good. Merrill went to Lodge. Got potatoes from Uncle Lloyd. $1.50 bushel. Got new curtain stretchers.

Vernon went to scout meeting. No school. Washed clothes & curtains. Got new slip, bra, & panties. Helped clean Lodge rooms. Called Aunt Edna & Aunt Cora.

Installation at Lodge. I was installed as recording Secretary. 82 present. Aunt Maude is Noble Grand. Farm Bureau Rally in Grange Hall.

Cloudy & cold. Talked with Helen. Vernon had T.B. test at school.

Nice day. Was over town twice. Went to stork shower for Alice at Uncle Earle’s in evening. About 75 there.

My watch came back from Sears. Bad 3 alarm fire at Mosher & Parkers Mill. We went to it. George Henderson was burned. We went to show in evening. Raining in evening.

Merrill started drawing milk over to village for first. Raining. Called Mom. Dad is feeling better. Henry Bates died yesterday.

Merrill went to Lodge in evening. Installation at Antwerp Rebekah’s tonight. First snow flurries today. Washed. Ironed. Baked pies, cake, cookies. Haven’t felt good today.

Aunt Maude’s birthday. Drill practice at Lodge. Boy Scout meeting. Called Aunt Cora. I went to drill practice. Vern went to Boy Scouts.

Sent card to Dad & Mom. Called Beulah. Kennie isn’t very good. He went to hospital last Friday. Talked with Helen, Beulah, & Lois. Baked bread & doughnuts. Waxed dining room floors.

Got letter from Angie & Mother Tryon. Mom & Dad’s 34th anniversary. Chamber of Commerce supper at church. Man was here from [?] about Goodwin Club.

Leah, Myrtle & I went to W.S.C.S Conference meeting all day at city. Merrill finished barn door. Wrote Mother.

Waxed kitchen floor. Baked cake for party. Went to party at Leah’s & Claude’s for Blanche.

Very quiet day. I went to church. Merrill slept all day. Wrote Marg.

Washed. Merrill finished plowing. Jim & I went over to Myrtle’s & planned election day dinner. Merrill went to Lodge.

Kennie Hall came home from hospital. Merrill helped Uncle Ray on Grange Hall. Jim & I went over to see about locker. Was over to Lila’s. Vernon went to Boy Scouts.
