Another hot day. 86° and 62°. We didn’t go to church. It was Rally Day with a covered dish dinner. I washed some clothes by hand.

85° and 56°. Very hot and humid. I took bus to and from downtown. Dr. LaPoint 10:45. Everything okay. BP 120/62 and 145 pounds. Centennial Club at 7:30 PM. I went. About 35 there. Lots going on the next four months. I got a thank you card from Jordan.

84° and 55°. Hot but a nice breeze. Four inches of snow near Denver, Colorado. I sent Jolie a check to get me pillow shams to go with the bedspread. Time Murphy called form sheriffs department for a donation. Jim Nash called on the prayer chain for Med Schaunables who is having an operation tomorrow. Jim called in evening. He and four other cops are riding to Maine in the morning. Will be back Friday.

70° and 55°. Much cooler. Feels great. Some rain over night. Sunny in PM. Jim and four other cops left for police picnic in Maine. Dr. LaPoint’s nurse called to tell me my blood count is low and I have too much calcium in my blood. I watched the one year anniversary of the terrorists attack on the New York City Trade Center and the Washing Pentagon and the plane crash in Pennsylvania. I played Pedro in evening.

A beautiful day. Cool and sunny. 65° and 33°. The association for the blind called to say they are bringing me the magnifying machine again on Monday. Sister Maria 7 PM. She sang with recordings. Very good. Alice Porter age 99 stopped by in AM.

Breezy but sunny. 75° and 60°. Sherri called on prayer chain for Dora Kelsey in SMC. (Hernia) and little Jack Rampart in Syracuse hospital with malaria. She and her mother, Zulika, just returned from summer spend in Africa visiting relative. I talked with Shawn and Shawn Michael.

83° and 55°. A great day. Sunny most of the day. Rain in evening. Shawn Michael came about 10 AM to spend a couple days. Jill stopped by in AM. Good to see her. We had baked ham suppers from the church. Josh was here to play with Shawn Michael. Jolie and Madison called in evening.

Raining on and off most of the day. I didn’t go to church. Shawn Michael and I walked over to SMC. We had lunch in cafeteria and shopped in the gift shop. Shawn came for Shawn Michael about 4:30.

71° and 57°. Nice sunny day. Cool. Virginia P stopped by. I took order for Toy Company up to Alice Porters. We had nice visit. Bill Beyette brought the magnifying reading machine back to me this PM.

72° and 35°. Sunny. Cool breeze. We started our fall exercise class. Only 6 out. Paid Dawn my $30. I got two cards from Vern and June from Nova Scotia. They are having a good time. I talked with Vi.

76° and 47°. A just great day. I went upstairs to see Eleanor Burns about exercise class. Florence, Lidia, Jo N and I went to Frosty for ice cream. We went for ride to LaFargeville. Jim called in PM. I played Pedro in evening. We had three tables.

A great day. Nice breeze. Not as warm. Exercise class. Hope may join us. We need two more. I talked with Lyla. My cactus plant has two blossoms on it tonight. Jolie called. I received two pillow shams from her today They look great.

Hot, humid day. Nice breeze. Jessie here to work. We went to store. Vern called in PM. They had a nice trip to Nova Scotia. Mr. Peabody glad to see them when they got home. I talked with Lyla.

77° and 73°. Warm and humid. A nice breeze. Elgin and Carmi called in morning. I washed clothes. Florence gave me piece of chocolate pie. Very windy during night. My living room curtains blew onto the floor during night. I got my Rebekah dues receipt from Vivian M. for 2003. $12.00

Quite warm. Partly sunny. Rain in evening. Thunder. Jim Nash and I went to church. Sherri not feeling good. Lyla called in late PM. Elgin called at suppertime. They plan to come on Carmi’s birthday on Thursday October 3rd. Loren Strader has a 2nd grandson. Born 3 weeks ago.

65° and 40°. Autumn begins. Cooler but a great day. Cheryl Stevenk 10:30 AM. I went. Very interesting. Good turn out. Hope attended it. I made dump cake and cooked stuff for potluck salad. Madison’s 3rd birthday.

72° and 40°. Sunny nice and cool. Exercise class at 9:30. Two more joined. Wanda B and Alice McDermott from Henry Keep apartments. Lyla and Beverly got here about 10:30 AM. Bev went over to Samaritan Keep and brought her father Bill Lafave over in his wheel chair for lunch with us. A nice time together. Jim called in PM. Jolie is coming for a visit next month.

68° and 37°. A nice day. Sunny. I played Pedro in evening. We had four tables. I talked with Vi.

Sunny and nice. Exercise class 9:30 AM. 8 of us. Florence took me to Ames to get some bed pillows but they didn’t have any left. The Ames store’s close next week for good.

59° and 48° cool and finally raining at last. I washed clothes. 2 tubs. Coby here in PM with church tapes. Sue left message on my machine for prayers for Rev. Jane’s sister Jan Watterson in Syracuse hospital. Jolie called. She got a promotion to junior department. She called again after I was in bed. I talked with Cora Carr.

It has stopped raining and the sun has been out most of the day. Cooler. Church “Out to eat brunch” go to Shelby’s at 5 PM. I went with Jim and Sherri. Fourteen of us went. I had a delicious roast beef dinner.

Another nice day. Sunny. We went to Sunday school and church. I talked to Jim. He called I evening. Jolie called. She is coming October 21 for a week.

Beautiful weather. 74° and 60°. Warm. Showers at suppertime. The Watertown Daily Times was delivered in the morning instead of afternoon as it did 141 year ago when it started. Jim took me to get groceries and to Kmart’s for two new bed pillows and a mattress pad. I cleaned my silverware in evening.

80° and 64°. Another great day. Some rain in evening. I went to exercise class. Eleven there. VIP in PM. Small turnout. Mr. St. James spoke on hearing problems. Arlene called in evening. Also Lyla, Elgin called her. Florence DeWill’s 87th birthday. I called Vern. June at a church meeting. A tooth came out of my denture.

73° and 67°. Hot humid and rainy by spells. Raining in evening. I played Pedro in evening. 4 tables. Perm by Shirley 1 PM. $20. Lidia gave me delicious macaroni and cheese (Italian) for supper. Man here from Kinney’s. Got stuff to fix my denture. I talked with Jim. He was at Hastings for steak supper.

61° and 43°. Cloudy in AM. Sunny in PM. I went to exercise class. Twelve there. Juanita called at suppertime. Elgin, Carmi and Lyla here for lunch and PM. We had a good day together. Carmi’s birthday. Kathy made him a chocolate cake. Association of the Blind called about going to mall on October 19th at 11 AM to 1 PM. Elgin and Carmi called when they got home. 5:25 PM. Took about 2 hours. Lyla called.

71° and 41°. Windy. Partly sunny. Very windy in evening. Some rain. Jessie here to clean. We didn’t go to store. I baked some biscuits. I filled out Heap application.

50th anniversary party for Art and Doris Haggerty at Philadelphia Fire Hall. I went with Cheryl and Marion. A huge crowd, over 200 there. Good dinner an dance. Hill Billy heaven band. I saw lots of folks I haven’t seen in a long time. We ate at Longways on way hone Public sale at Grannies Attic and food sale today.

We went to Sunday school and church. Sherri and I were greeters. I went to church service here in PM.

61° and 56°. Colder. Cold wind. Partly sunny. I glued my tooth back in. Cheryl was here. She had to change her mother’s party to the fire hall. Lidia gave me Italian angel hair spaghetti and meatballs. Great! No Centennial meeting. Barbara in hospital and Ada Jane to bridge contest.

51° and 32°. Cold. Some frost over night. Bill mowed lawns. Still nice and green Looks nice. Hope away to Hud meeting. Ten out to exercise class. Dawn gave us cookies. I called Jim at suppertime. He was on his way to eat supper so we didn’t talk long. The tooth came out of my denture.

Sunny cool. We got our flu shots here this morning.

67° and 48°. A great day. Sunny. I talked with Lyla. Also Vi. Lyla said Glenn Symonds has died of Alzheimer’s. Exercise class. 11 present. A new lady, Anna Mae, joined from Henry Keep. Jerry Allen country singer here to entertain in evening. An excellent singer. Good turn out to hear him.

64° and 54°. Partly cloudy. Dentist appointment with Dr. Schepic at 10:30. Had my teeth cleaned.

64° and 54°. Raining. A little sun. Vi came over in morning. Evelyn Cooke picked us up and we went to and from Philadelphia to Lyla’s 75th birthday party at the fire hall. Lyla was so surprised. She did a lot of crying. Jim’s picture and article about his running for sheriff is in this morning’s Times. I talked with Jim in evening.

65° and 50°. Raining off and on. Wind. I didn’t go to church. Nash’s went to Stone Mills. Jolie called. She was on her way to work. She said Jim has an interview on TV tonight. Jim was on late news 11:55 PM. He has a short hair cut and shaved his beard. No earring. His Harley look was gone.

Columbus Day holiday. 50° and 28°. Much colder but a nice sunny day. Jim has been on the news broadcasts from both WWNY and WWTI. I called Lyla. I called Jim. He was at Kenny Rudes.

57° and 24°. Cold but bright sun. Exercise class. Nine of us out. Wanda isn’t coming anymore. Jim on Channel 5. I called Cable Co about taking off the Highlight News on Basic Cable.

50° and 40°. Raining all day. I went to cooperative nutrition meeting. 12 there. Coby here with tapes. Dr. Sanni 9:45. Eye pressure 14 and 18. I’m to stop nighttime Lumigan. I rode bus both ways. Arlene Wilson called. Debby called in evening. I asked her if she would like Mom’s wedding ring. She said “Oh yes!” and started crying. I felt it would mean more to her than anyone.

Raining off and on all day. I went to exercise class. Dr. Shepic’s office called. My denture was back so I walked over to get it. $46. Shawn Michael called asking if he can come for a weekend. He seems very happy.

49° and 28°. Some rain. No sun today. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. I met with woman from office of the again about getting Medicare insurance of $54 paid each month. Lyla called in evening.

Raining just about all day. Windy. The association of the blind took us to the mall shopping from 11 AM to 1 PM. Our driver was Lynn. She was very helpful. I was tired when I got home. Jolie called in evening. She may come Monday. She says Jim is on a bike trip to Pennsylvania. Got thank you card from Lyla.

47° and 39°. We went to church only. We drove up to Harrisville to see the leaves. We ate lunch at The Rose Garden Restaurant. We had chicken and biscuits. I brought home a piece of peanut butter pie for my supper. It wasn’t as good as Florence’s. Jolie called. She and Madison are leaving for here at 5 AM.

44° and 26°. Cold and cloudy and sunny by spells. Bill and Lee fixed my folding cupboard door and toilet tank chain. Jim called. Jolie and Madison had called from Pennsylvania. Nancy Hogaboom Hart (Carl) of Boonville called. We had a great visit. They are coming to see me. Shawn Michael called in evening to ask if I had heard from his mother. Jim and other in debate at Sackets. Jolie and Jill went with him. Jolie and Madison here at 10:30 for a half hour. Jim did a great job.

A sunny day. Very cold. 45° and 30°. Exercise class. Nine there. Jolie, Madison and Jim called. Jolie, Madison and I went to Stone Mills to get Shawn Michael. We ate at the mall. Jolie dropped me off at Italian American club to candidate night. Everyone good. Jim was so great. A hug crowd was present. Wanda Lancaster introduced them.

39° and 27°. A nice day. The Heap people came here to sign us up for Heap. I had mine done except for income. Jolie picked me up and I went to Jim’s with them. Sue L was along also. We all ate lunch at Adams. Jim was on the “Hot Line” along with John Burno. Jim sounded great and well informed. Jolie brought me home at 7 PM. She took Shawn Michael to Stone ills.

43° and 19°. Cold but nice. Very sunny. Jolie and Madison here in morning and again in PM. We went to mall to have coffee with Nancy Penrose. Jolie and Madison went to potluck super with me here. Vern called. They are coming tomorrow.

Sunny and nice. Cold. Vern and June got here about 11 AM. We went to Shelby’s for lunch. We saw Joan Hatch there. Jolie and Madison here in PM. They left to get Shawn Michael. Jim here most of PM. Ella Eckert and Alice Porter brought my Friendly Party stuff. I gave Jim the motorcycle clock I got for him. Lidia was in to ask about VIP.

46° and 36°. Jolie, Madison, Shawn Michael and Jim here for PM and supper. Jolie and Madison go back to Ohio in the morning.

Cloudy day. Rain. Some sun and cold. I didn’t go to church. Jim N brought my two pizza’s home to me @$5. I put new frog thermometer on outside of my window. Jolie called at 5:30. She was just driving into her driveway. Left Jim’s at 9 AM. Madison a real good traveler.
