    Another hot day. 86° and 62°. We didn’t go to church. It was Rally Day with a covered dish dinner. I washed some clothes by hand.

    85° and 56°. Very hot and humid. I took bus to and from downtown. Dr. LaPoint 10:45. Everything okay. BP 120/62 and 145 pounds. Centennial Club at 7:30 PM. I went. About 35 there. Lots going on the next four months. I got a thank you card from Jordan.

    84° and 55°. Hot but a nice breeze. Four inches of snow near Denver, Colorado. I sent Jolie a check to get me pillow shams to go with the bedspread. Time Murphy called form sheriffs department for a donation. Jim Nash called on the prayer chain for Med Schaunables who is having an operation tomorrow. Jim called in evening. He and four other cops are riding to Maine in the morning. Will be back Friday.

    70° and 55°. Much cooler. Feels great. Some rain over night. Sunny in PM. Jim and four other cops left for police picnic in Maine. Dr. LaPoint’s nurse called to tell me my blood count is low and I have too much calcium in my blood. I watched the one year anniversary of the terrorists attack on the New York City Trade Center and the Washing Pentagon and the plane crash in Pennsylvania. I played Pedro in evening.

    A beautiful day. Cool and sunny. 65° and 33°. The association for the blind called to say they are bringing me the magnifying machine again on Monday. Sister Maria 7 PM. She sang with recordings. Very good. Alice Porter age 99 stopped by in AM.

    Breezy but sunny. 75° and 60°. Sherri called on prayer chain for Dora Kelsey in SMC. (Hernia) and little Jack Rampart in Syracuse hospital with malaria. She and her mother, Zulika, just returned from summer spend in Africa visiting relative. I talked with Shawn and Shawn Michael.

    83° and 55°. A great day. Sunny most of the day. Rain in evening. Shawn Michael came about 10 AM to spend a couple days. Jill stopped by in AM. Good to see her. We had baked ham suppers from the church. Josh was here to play with Shawn Michael. Jolie and Madison called in evening.

    76° and 47°. A just great day. I went upstairs to see Eleanor Burns about exercise class. Florence, Lidia, Jo N and I went to Frosty for ice cream. We went for ride to LaFargeville. Jim called in PM. I played Pedro in evening. We had three tables.

    72° and 40°. Sunny nice and cool. Exercise class at 9:30. Two more joined. Wanda B and Alice McDermott from Henry Keep apartments. Lyla and Beverly got here about 10:30 AM. Bev went over to Samaritan Keep and brought her father Bill Lafave over in his wheel chair for lunch with us. A nice time together. Jim called in PM. Jolie is coming for a visit next month.

Jane’s sister Jan Watterson in Syracuse hospital. Jolie called. She got a promotion to junior department. She called again after I was in bed. I talked with Cora Carr.

    It has stopped raining and the sun has been out most of the day. Cooler. Church “Out to eat brunch” go to Shelby’s at 5 PM. I went with Jim and Sherri. Fourteen of us went. I had a delicious roast beef dinner.

    Beautiful weather. 74° and 60°. Warm. Showers at suppertime. The Watertown Daily Times was delivered in the morning instead of afternoon as it did 141 year ago when it started. Jim took me to get groceries and to Kmart’s for two new bed pillows and a mattress pad. I cleaned my silverware in evening.

Carmi’s birthday. Kathy made him a chocolate cake. Association of the Blind called about going to mall on October 19th at 11 AM to 1 PM. Elgin and Carmi called when they got home. 5:25 PM.     50th anniversary party for Art and Doris Haggerty at Philadelphia Fire Hall. I went with Cheryl and Marion. A huge crowd, over 200 there. Good dinner an dance. Hill Billy heaven band. I saw lots of folks I haven’t seen in a long time. We ate at Longways on way hone Public sale at Grannies Attic and food sale today.

She did a lot of crying. Jim’s picture and article about his running for sheriff is in this morning’s Times. I talked with Jim in evening.

    50° and 40°. Raining all day. I went to cooperative nutrition meeting. 12 there. Coby here with tapes. Dr. Sanni 9:45. Eye pressure 14 and 18. I’m to stop nighttime Lumigan. I rode bus both ways. Arlene Wilson called. Debby called in evening. I asked her if she would like Mom’s wedding ring. She said “Oh yes!” and started crying. I felt it would mean more to her than anyone.

    Raining just about all day. Windy. The association of the blind took us to the mall shopping from 11 AM to 1 PM. Our driver was Lynn. She was very helpful. I was tired when I got home. Jolie called in evening. She may come Monday. She says Jim is on a bike trip to Pennsylvania. Got thank you card from Lyla.

    47° and 39°. We went to church only. We drove up to Harrisville to see the leaves. We ate lunch at The Rose Garden Restaurant. We had chicken and biscuits.     44° and 26°. Cold and cloudy and sunny by spells. Bill and Lee fixed my folding cupboard door and toilet tank chain. Jim called. Jolie and Madison had called from Pennsylvania. Nancy Hogaboom Hart (Carl) of Boonville called. We had a great visit. They are coming to see me. Shawn Michael called in evening to ask if I had heard from his mother. Jim and other in debate at Sackets. Jolie and Jill went with him. Jolie and Madison here at 10:30 for a half hour. Jim did a great job.
