I went to church. Bill & Vi & Merrill & I went to Howard Johnson’s for dinner. We went with Halls’ in evening to bowl but played cards instead.

Sent evaluation reports for W.S.C.S. Got 4 more ton of coal @ 27. Have 7 ton now. Worked at church in evening getting turkeys ready.

Went to church at 6:00 AM. Got home at 10:00 PM. Merrill & I voted. President Johnson-Humphrey won election. Made $308.00 on church Election Night supper & bazaar.

I was in bed all day with sick headache. Cheryl Ashley 18, & Donald Waugh 20, were married at Dexter today. Ann & Bob Eggleston here in evening.

Wrote Jim, Mom, & kids. Made cookies. Called for plane reservations for Friday. Made appointment for Merrill with Dr. Roberts.

Left Syracuse airport at 4:09 PM for Washington. Our first plane ride. Got in at 7:09 PM. Saw our first grandchild for first time. 19 days old. June looks good.
