Very cold. Got in at 2:00 AM. Didn’t do anything for New Years day.

Jim went back to school. Took Vern to city at 10:00 PM. Quite cold yet.

Back to work. Had all my riders today. Mrs. Hagan went to hospital with pneumonia.

Pauline, Garmon, & kids were over in evening. Jim went home with them.

Merrill & I went to Antwerp to see Lawyer. Got dog license. Went to Theresa for groceries.

Ken’s 37th birthday. We went over after Jim at Pauline’s.Were there for dinner.

Bennett’s were here in AM awhile. Merrill & I went to IOOF installation. Nice time. About 55 there.

Nice day. Warmer.

I went to lodge. The Traveling Gavel came to Philadelphia. About 60 present.

Car license came. Two of them this year. Carl Brown came home with Jim for the night.

Snowing hard in PM. Roads slippery. Got ring from Margaret Phillips. $5.00. Wrote Vernon. Garmon came after davenport & chair.

Quite cold. Stormy in evening. Slippery. Washed & cleaned.

Very cold. Tractor broke. Made pies.

Car wouldn’t start so I didn’t go to work. About 30° below zero last night. Very stormy. No schools open.

Went to work but car quit so called Merrill to bring battery. Was 44° below zero last night.

I took car to Gouverneur to have voltage regulator put on. $14.00. Got to work at 10:00 AM. Not so cold.

Have sore throat. Don’t feel too good. Paid Mary Schultz $8.00 for coat, pants, & shirt for Jim.

Very stormy. I came home early because it was snowing so hard. Hadn’t snowed at all here. Got letter from Mom. Dorothy Pitkin & Walter Sharp in accident.

Had terrible snow storm all around us. We didn’t get any. Merrill & I went to city to lawyers. Bought farm from Bennett’s. Don & Juanita have daughter, Doreen Dale.

Grettina Klock & Basil Hanson married at Browville Church.

Lots of snow in the city. Nice day. Merrill went to lodge. Got new job doing callers. Got another machine.

Very warm. Rained all day. Lots of floods.

Turned cold. Terrible snowy in morning. Could hardly see to drive. I didn’t go to lodge.

Nice day but cold. I won electric deep fryer on Ida’s punch card. Is in Times that Don’s have baby girl.

Merrill fixed door at Rappole’s.

Washed & ironed. Merrill did some work at Barker’s. Merrill & Jim got hair cuts. Got letter from Vernon.

Called Vernon. Jim is sick with sore throat. Has been in bed all day. Vern goes to Palmyra to teach last of week.

Jim didn’t go to school. Merrill went to lodge. Josephine paid me $6.00.

Past Noble Grands at Aunt Maude’s. 14 present. Got home at 12:00. Jim was up & around today.

George Hardy was here about insurance. Seven of us went to Howard’s for fish fry. Edna Knapp’s birthday Sunday. Mary O’Brien’s birthday also. Jim missed one week of school.

We went to city. Started out home but was snowing so hard we turned around at Tolcott’s Corners. Went to Clayton to look at baler.

We went out home for dinner. Saw Doreen Dale for first time. She is a very nice baby.

Swell day. Like spring. Merrill went to lodge. Baked cakes. Jim went to school today. Washed sweaters & gloves.

Got letter from Vernon. He went to Palmyra with Dave on Saturday, February 2. He got 4 A’s & 2 B’s on his tests.

We went to card party at Pat Eggleston’s for March of Dimes. Had nice time. Evelyn was over few minutes.

Swell day. Jack Hughs cattle auction. Merrill went. Wrote Vernon. Playhouse 90 on TV had Helen Keller’s life story. Swell.

Nice spring day. Merrill went to auction with Lynn. Merrill met with committee on IOOF Hall. Wrote Vernon.

Went to Theresa. Got navy cotton for skirt.

Windy. Worked all day cleaning & washing.

Merrill went to lodge. They are having awful time about what to do with IOOF Hall since drug store moved out.

Talked with Vi on phone. She is working this week.

I didn’t go to lodge. Roads very slippery. Windy.

We went to drama club play at Theresa. Got home at 11:00. Carl & Gloria came at 2:30 from Vermont. Woke us up ringing door bell.

Swell day. Carl & Gloria left at 4:40 for Wolcott. Got Valentine & letter from Vern. Sure sleepy.

4-H at Ronnie Mitchell’s. Jim went. Bill & Vi were down. Carl & Gloria came from Wolcott about 12:00 AM.

Carl & Gloria left for Vermont at 9:30 AM. We went to church. Good turn out.

Roads slippery. Snowing in evening. Merrill didn’t go to lodge. Our deed is in paper. Received deed in mail.

Merrill finished cupboard. Snowy.
