All day W.S.C.S. meeting at IOOF Hall. LaFargeville ladies were present. I went. Washed clothes.

Mom, Dad, & Uncle Berle came for dinner. We all went up to Don’s in afternoon. Uncle Lloyd’s were out to Uncle Ray’s. Kessel went to ball game. First frost last night.

Washed clothes. Ironed. Rained in evening. Merrill went to Lodge.

Merrill & Kessel helped at Carl’s in PM. Quite muddy. Baked.

Canned corn. Took truck to garage. Vernon & I went to Grange in evening. Election of officers. Made pickles.

Roy & Marg came about 2:00 PM from trip to Whiteface. Marg & I went to Home Bureau meeting at Grange Hall. Made Vern birthday cake. Gave him book bag.

Roy & Marg left today. Marg & I went over to Lila’s with Aunt Maude. I made visit at school. Merrill finished filling silo at Newton’s.

Merrill & I went to city. Got cloth for dress & shirt. Merrill got pants etc. Got Jim gun & V jacket cap & shirt. Kessel finished at Carl’s. Canned plums, pickles, & tomatoes.

Boys & I went to church. Merrill & Kessel finished ditching.

Merrill & I went out home for dinner. Merrill helped Dad cut corn. Worked on Dad’s books. Kessel left today. Merrill went to Lodge.

Washed clothes. Canned pickled pears. Visited Jim’s room at school. Was smoky all day from fire in Canada.

Worked over to church in PM. Went to Lodge in evening. Election of officers. Worked on Dad’s Assessor books. [Arthur Hanson was assessor for many years in town of Lorraine. He needed help because his vision was impaired.]

No school. Conferences. Merrill took boys out home to stay until Sunday. Helped at dinner at church. Vern played in band in morning. I went to Home Bureau at Gwen’s. Merrill went to International Harvester show.

No school. Canned tomatoes, pears, & sweet pickles. Worked on Dad’s books. Real warm.

Washed & polished truck. Worked on Dad’s books all day. Beverly Macklin’s 6th birthday.

We went out home after boys. Merrill helped Dad cut corn. Aunt Esther, Beulah, Bev & Marg were there in PM.

Washed & ironed. Merrill went to Lodge.

Vivian Myers & I went to city & took Home Bureau lesson on pressing equipment. Rained.

Boys & I went to Grange in evening. Called Mr. Hayden about goings on at school & went over to Flora’s in PM to finish tray.

Booster night at Grange. We all went. Juvenile Grange had part. Cheryl was over & stayed all day. Vi was over & we cut out dress.

Made mince meat. Made cookies. Feel punk. Have terrible cold. Merrill went to Farm Bureau Committee meeting at Grange Hall.

Baked pies. Not feeling very good. Sent order to Spiegels.

Buster & Marie were here for dinner. Nice day. We all went to church. They took Addie Klock to hospital last night.

Merrill & I went out home. Merrill helped Dad finish filling silo. Took calf to sale. Merrill went to Lodge in evening.

Rainy. I went over & helped Lois White with dress. Shampooed my hair.

Rebekah Installation. Merrill & I went. 106 there. I was installed as Banner Bearer. Merrill has about 35 acres plowed.

Kept cows in at night for first. Rainy & cold. I was sick in bed all day with sick headache.

Feel a little better today. Still rainy. Boys didn’t have to go to school yesterday or today. Bought 5 tons coal.

We bought home freezer. 18 cubic feet. $499.75. Will bring it first of week. Cloudy & cold.

Grand day. Jim & I went to church. We drove up to Don’s in afternoon.

Did big wash. Did some of ironing. They installed our new freezer.

Did a lot of baking. Put some in freezer. Installation of officers at Grange. We all went. Wrote Mom. Merrill drawed 5 ton coal.

Lila has baby girl. Kathy Rae. 9 pounds, 13 ounces. No Grange meeting because of Grange meeting last night. Finished ironing. Froze carrots & beets. Rebekah installation at Carthage.

Took first dress lesson. Vivian & Gladys went with me. Rebekah installation at Theresa. I didn’t go. Merrill went to Lodge at Redwood. George Waters went with him.

I went to Adams with Beulah, Geneva, Vi, & Marguerite. Had grand time. Adams & Lorraine Lodge had joint installation.

Merrill & I went to city after groceries. Merrill got power saw blade & parts. Baked cake & pies. Froze cranberries.

I went to city with aunt Maude to see Lila & Kathy. Men put wood in shed. Very cold. Didn’t go to church.

Gladys, Vivian, & I went to city & took pressing lesson II. Rained hard. Merrill went to Lodge. Got beets & carrots ready to freeze.

Merrill went to Lodge at Carthage. They took 3 candidates there for degree. Washed clothes in evening. Rained again today. They brought load lime.

Hung out clothes to dry. Merrill sowed lime. Went over to Vi’s in PM to get church items ready to sell. Went to Lodge in evening.

Did ironing. Went over to Helen’s in PM and made trays. Merrill went to Lodge at Redwood. Merrill worked on new stanchions.

Gladys, Vivian, & I took dress lesson II at city. I went to installation at Alexandria Bay with Halls in evening. Nice day. Fireman’s dance.
