Nice day. Mr. Hagan was over. Went to show in evening. Bernice Macklin has son. Sally Kastler has baby girl.

Went to church. Uncle Earle, Aunt Keitha, Grandpa. Velma & Cherie were here in PM & for supper. Called Aunt Maude.

Washed clothes. Talked with Aunt Maude. Sent letter to Mom. Got Sears catalog.

Got letter from Mom saying Fred Wagner died Feb. 8. Went to church supper. Stopped at Aunt Maude’s. Quite stormy.

Grandpa was over and spent day. Did ironing.

Got order from Sears. Got letter from Marg. Merrill went over town in evening.

Quite stormy in morning. Grand in PM. Called Grandpa. Went over to doctors. Got Vernon pants. Wrote to Ruth P.

Waxed kitchen & bathroom floors. Baked pies & cookies. Aunt Maude called. Called Helen.

Grand day. Washed clothes. Wrote to Mom & Mother Tryon. Made ice cream.

They butchered beef today. I went over to Mrs. Ronas to W.S.C.S. Aunt Maude called.

Been in bed all day. Couldn’t get doctor. Got letter from Mom.

Mrs. Hodge, Fred & Mom came out. Took Jimmy home with them. Called Don.

Joined the Rebecca’s Lodge. Called Helen. Not feeling too good.

Came up to see Dr. Roberts. Entered the hospital at 6:00 PM for observation. Mom & Dad came to city. Took Jimmy back home with them.

Grand Day. Merrill came up. Got me new house coat & slippers.

Merrill, Grandpa & Aunt Keitha were here. Had examination under gas.

Had St. Patrick dinner. Mom, Dad, Merrill, Aunt Maude, Lila were here. Saw kids out the window.

Had a card from Beulah Hall. Changed my bed and other corner [?]

Aunt K. & Arlene were here in PM. Merrill came up in evening. Had my operation at 10:30. D & C.

Helen Kiechle was here. Sent her a letter. Also Mom. Merrill was up in evening. Aunt Myrtle & Evelyn were here. Got letter from Aunt Maude.

Evelyn, Aunt Myrtle & Aunt Mildred & Uncle Berle were here. Pauline Plato is here in the hospital.

Merrill was up. Dr. Roberts said I could go home tomorrow. Got up twice today.

Came home this PM. Got letter from Marg before I left hospital. Was awfully tired when I got home.

Mom, Son, Juanita, & Donna brought Jim home. Aunt Maude, Lila, & Uncle Ray were here.

Merrill joined the Odd Fellows Lodge. Aunt Maude came over and stayed with me.

Feeling quite a lot better. Helen & kids were here. Mrs. Farnham & Mrs. Hagan called.

Beulah Hall brought me sunshine basket from W.S.C.S. Mrs. Keichle, Helen, & Aunt Maude called.

Mr. & Mrs. Hagan were here. Went to city to city to see Dr. Robert. Got Jim new shoes. Wrote Mom. Merrill went to city in evening with Uncle Ray.

Changed rugs in bedroom and living room. Feeling better.

Helen, Carl and kids were here. Hank & Bob McGraw [Merrill’s hired man] were here.

Bob McGraw came to work. Paul & Carl were here starting tractor. Got a sick cow. Helen and kids came over and hung up clothes.

Merrill started fitting. [Preparing soil for planting.] Are having terrible tidal waves in Pacific caused from earthquakes. Got letter from Mom. Got vet for cow.

The cow died last night. Lights were out in evening. Helen, Mrs. Keichle, & Aunt Maude called. Got letter from Marg.

Cloudy day. Merrill went to Evans Mills to Lodge. Got letters from Aunt Mildred & Miss Baxter.

Got letter from Pauline. Card from Jessie Kesson. The men cleaned out drain.

PeeWee [Pekingese dog Bea & Merrill got as a wedding gift from people she worked for before she was married.] died at 11:45 today. Merrill buried her by granary. Cleaned & waxed floors.

Went out home for dinner. Bob went with us. Went down to Ellisburg also. Mr. & Mrs. Hagan were here. Lila called.

Washed clothes. Aunt Maude & Helen called. Vernon is sick tonight. I’m awfully tired tonight.

Ironed clothes. Rainy. Merrill got car bumper fixed. Got letter from Marg.

Quite cold. Went to Lodge at night. Merrill sent back paper for subsidy.
