Sent Xmas cards. Received letter from Aunt Mildred. She is ill with flu. Sent Jimmy war stamp for Xmas.

I have the flu now. Dot was down. Margaret Roberts & Bob Remington are married.

Have been in bed all day. Temperature 103°. Marg & Roy came up & Marg did work & took care of Jimmy.

Dot’s birthday (21 years) Feeling well enough today to be up. Temperature has gone down.

Merrill went to Lacona to see Dr. Reed but didn’t see him. Stormed hard. Vernon was in Xmas play. Had school tree.

Merrill went down to see Dr. Reed. Got medicine. Merrill also went to Adams. Stopped at Aunt Mildred’s. Got Vernon shirts. Vernon got out at noon for vacation.

Sent $2.00 to Journal for Mom for Xmas.

Vernon is ill again with grippe. Dressed chicken for Xmas. Had our tree in evening.

Marg is sick with flu. Merrill got bushel of potatoes from Mr. Gardner. Stayed home for dinner. Mom & Ken was up for supper. Evelyn was down.

Went down to Ellisburg. Saw Loren [Merrill’s brother] before entering army. Stopped over home for supper. Ken milked for Merrill. Gloria came home with us.

Loren enters the army. Dot was down. Wrote letters to Marg & card to Mom. Jimmy has a cold.

Washed clothes. Quite cold today.

Evelyn’s birthday (19 years) Made ice cream.

Jimmy’s cold is worse. Baked cookies & gingerbread.

Merrill got pay. Arlene was down. Jimmy is quite sick with flu. Merrill went to Lorraine in evening. Gloria isn’t feeling well.
