Sunny and warm today. I called transportation. Tina, Barb, Bonnie about changing Merrill’s days to Wednesday and Friday at day care. Transportation called to say they’d pick him up Wednesday. I also called Genesis about bill. I talked with Vi at Martha’s.

Sunny. Cool. I washed Merrill’s clothes. Jolie called in morning. She had to take Shawn Michael to emergency room in night with asthma attack. Jolie to miss 2nd day of work. She started yesterday at Renfrew. Jolie called in evening. Shawn Michael feeling better. He is going to school tomorrow. He may need his nebulizer at school if he can’t breath. Vi called. She is coming after me tomorrow.

Great day warm. Cloudy and some rain at supper time. I made lemon cake. Also tuna casserole for Rebekah’s. Vi here early. She had a doctor appointment in Philadelphia. I went to lodge with her. We had covered dish dinner at 1 PM. Delicious. Ten Rebekah’s present. Good to go to lodge. I haven’t been since last December. Jim called at noon time.

Cloudy raining warm. We went for groceries at noon. Tina called. She will visit Merrill Tuesday next week.Jolie called. Her allergy real bad. She and Shawn Mihael here in evening. I gave her money for Shawn Michael’s day care. His baby sitter doesn’t want to sit him anymore.

Cloudy in AM. Sunny in PM. Windy. Merrill went to day care. Jolie called. She’s still having problems getting Shawn Michael into day care. She had to go to Antwerp school.

Cloudy. Some sun. Merrill started raking leaves. Not many on ground as yet. Also mowed all weeks. I washed clothes. Merrill cleaned floors. Merrill slept most of night in his chair. He got dressed at 1 AM. Merrill was going to get hair cut but car wouldn’t start. Battery run down for some reason.

Foggy in morning but a beautiful warm summer day. 72°. We didn’t go to church as our car won’t start. I miss not going. I need it. I called Jim and Sue at cabin. Jim has bad headache.

Another summer day. I called in drugs to Charthouse. Jim will get them. Merrill to Dr. Mirza 10 AM. Jim came out and took us. Merrill’s pacemaker all okay and working good. He don’t go again until March. I’m to call in January to make appointment. We stopped at Kinney’s in Carthage. I got new watch battery, deodorant, and tooth paste. Merrill got Vitalis and light bulbs 40 watt. Jim here for lunch.

A nice day. 68°. Tina here. Will be back in two weeks. Merrill put storm window on breakfast room. It was a job for him this year. I had to tell him each thing to do. Jim came out after work and mowed our lawns. They are so green and look great. He ate supper with us. I got two catalog tapes from the lighthouse Inc.

Cooler this morning. Warm in PM. Up to 79°. Rain in evening. Merrill went to day care. I washed white clothes. Shirley Lewis called.

Great day 73° muggy. Merrill raked leaves and cut weeds. Black flies terrible. Lyla called. She will take us to store tomorrow. I wrote letter to June and Vern and got his birthday card ready to send tomorrow. The new larger airport at Fort Drum 60% finished. It will handle 6 huge planes at once.

Sunny warm. Merrill didn’t go to day care. His driver was in an accident so they cancelled. Lyla took us to get groceries. Barber not in so Merrill couldn’t get his haircut. We sent Vern birthday card, letter, and $10.00. Also sent letter for new cassette catalog books. Jim called from work in PM. He came out on his cycle tonight. He brought our pills and eye drops from Pharmhouse. Lyla said Aunt Maude only weighs 80 pounds. Hard to believe.

Rained about all day. Dark day. I washed white clothes. Merrill repaired cellar window. Sewer gas bad in laundry room. I called Robbins to check it but Tony didn’t get here.

Sunny, cool Vern’s 61st birthday. We called them in PM. We didn’t go to church. Jim and Cliff C came out and towed our car into Ciffs garage. We had waffles for supper. First in ages. good.

Cold cloudy some sun. Today is the first day of fall. I washed Merrill’s everyday clothes. I finished the last of my book tapes that I’ve received so far. I moved the plants inside from the porches.

Cloudy. Raining. Sun out at suppertime as usual this summer. I talked with Vi. Julie and baby have left for their new home.

Heavy white frost last night 27° up to 50° during the day. Merrill went to day care. Jim called in morning. I called him at noon. The battery was down on the car. No doubt from the dome light left on. We are going to Shawn Michaels’ school tomorrow for grandparents day. I called Doris Haggerty. She said Winifred has to have open heart operation. I went to Rebekah’s with Ginny. Vi didn’t come. Bill has pneumonia. Merrill didn’t get home until 6PM tonight. Doris Aynes at day care for first. Jim called at bedtime.

Grandparents day at Antwerp kindergarten class. We went with Jim and Jolie. Had breakfast with Shawn Michael and then attended his class. I got picked to read them a story about “Coco and Grandmother”. I talked with Vi for an hour. Bill has broken rib. It punctured his lung. He doesn’t have pneumonia. I called Jim about money for battery. He thinks they will replace it. I called Philadelphia Medical for Merrill’s Aricept. Also called about cassette books. Five are on the way.

Cloudy. Merrill went to day care. We got up late this morning. I called Lyla. Cheryl’s foot operation went well. I called drug store. Also Jim. He is b ringing car out tonight. Sam’s replaced 2-year guarantee battery. Jolie, Zack and Shawn Michael brought car at suppertime. Zack goes out into field at Antwerp tomorrow morning at 9 AM for 10 days. I vacuumed floors and dusted furniture

A beautiful summer day. We took garbage and some recyclables newspapers, milk cartons, and aluminum. We went to Big M for groceries. Merrill got his hair cut. I washed clothes. Merrill cleaned up some of garden and raked a few leaves. I received 2nd Tri Ad pamphlet. They have so much knowledge on Alzheimer’s.

Sunny beautiful day. We went to church. Good to get back.49 out. Patrick and Jolie Flaherty have baby girl Cleo. Tina called. She will be here tomorrow. Jolie and Shawn Michael here for supper. Zack in the field for 10 days. I watched Barbara Mandrell’s life story. ”Get to the Heart” in the evening. A two hour movie.

Raining rained about all night. I called Vi. Bill better. May go back to Genesis soon. Tina here. Merrill okay. She will be back In two weeks. Sewer gas bad today. I called Robbins but he didn’t come. I called Donna for hair appointment. She may be able to do it Saturday. Jim here at noon with Merrill’s Aricept pills and my iron pills. Vernon here in PM. He had been to Colton school He had a state car. He brought us a new can opener. Also a clipping from Oswego paper that Florence and Ralph Hogaboom’s son Gary, 57 died July 13, 1997. Left a daughter Kimberly and son Dan.

Raining some sun 63° We got storm windows closed upstairs for winter. Merrill raked some leaves. I washed Merrill’s dark clothes. I received three more cassette books. I received one yesterday also.

Cold, sunny, Merrill went to day care. He’s very mixed up today. Can’t remember things. Donnie called Merrill. Got home early 4:45. I called Tina about Merrill’s bill for first 2 days of day care. Tony Hull here. He discoverd there is no trap on washing machine. He will put one on later. He came bck in PM and put one on it. Bryant Gumbles new show Public Eye on tonight for first. Very good. I made fruit cocktail cake. I called Vern’s in evening. They are coming Saturday.

Heavy white frost last night. Looked like snow 25°. Nice in PM. Zackary McGowan among 3500 soldiers out in the field for 10 days for Mount Peak exercise. Our soldiers go through so much for us. Training is very rough at times. We went for groceries after lunch. Lyla called at supper time. Aunt Maude not good at all. She weighs 73 pounds.

Cloudy all day. Merrill went to day care. I sent Bea Gehm card and note. I washed clothes. Also cleaned floors. I made chili for tomorrow. Barb Tifft called. They will pay Merrill’s first two day care from Alzheimer’s grant. $81.00.

A nice warm, sunny day. Vern and June got here about 9:30. Vern helped put on storm windows, a lock cover over thermostat, covered water pipes, etc. They left about 3:30 PM. Donna 10:30 appointment. Vern took me over and came after me. My hair feels so great to be shorter and curled. Jim called about 3 PM. He talked with Vern also. My eyes very bad yesterday and today Can hardly see. June cleaned the bathroom. It looks so clean. Men’s Promise Keepers Rally in Washington DC a success. Huge crowd.

A beautiful day sunny and very warm day. Thunderstorm around 10 PM to 1 AM last night. We went to church 44 out. Communion. A murder suicide of two 17 year olds at Depauville today. Bea Gehm’s birthday 83,

A summer day 75°. I talked with Lyla. Aunt Maude the same. My eyes are bad again today. The bright sun makes them worse. Vi M called in evening. Bill back in nursing home from hospital. Martha had to have another blood transfusion.

Hot again today. Merrill put wood stain on back porch. Looks nice. He raked leaves. I sent telephone bill payment. It is Bell Atlantic now instead of Ninex.

Cloudy part of day. Warm. Merrill went to day care. Came home feeling very happy. He went out and raked leaves after supper. I washed Merrill’s work clothes. I called Jolie. Shawn Michael has bronchitis but is still going to school. Zack is out on the field. They are going to visit Zack’s mother this weekend. Jim and Sue are going Saturday and Sunday. Joel is meeting them there almost at Cincinnati, Ohio. I wrote June and Vern. Had popcorn in the evening.

A warm summer day. 80° Jim called in AM. Hi’s not sure about going to Ohio this weekend. We went for groceries after lunch. Lyla was here this PM. No change in Aunt Maude. Merrill raked most of the day.

Partly cloudy. Windy. Rained during night some. Merrill went to day care. I washed clothes.

A little cooler but a great day. Merrill raked leaves about all day. He broke the handle out of his rake but he repaired it. We took garbage and recyclables. They aren’t taking any more milk cartons.

Sunny warm. We went to church. Only a few there 29. Carol Sargent in charge. A good sermon. Elaine on vacation. Alice Flaherty has skin cancers on her face. She has to have them removed. Merrill undressed two times tonight and went to bed but he got up and dressed both times. He slept in his chair from 11 PM on when he slept. The moon was full tonight.

Nice sunny day. Hot in PM. There are hundreds of fat ladybugs all over back of our house. No mail school Columbus day no mail. No senior citizens dinners. I left message on Sue’s phone about church offering Shirley called. Jolie called. Merrill raked leaves. He had bad night. First in some time. John Denver, 54 singer killed in plane crash. A small plane. Jim, Sue, and Ashley came out and Jim mowed lawns. We took them out to Philadelphia Restaurant for supper. We all had delicious meal. Ashley had chicken fingers. Debbie called in evening. She is home until Sunday from Colorado.

Sunny in AM. Cloudy and showers by noon. Tina here. She will be back in 2 weeks. I made cake. Merrill raked leaves in AM. Some in PM. Debby and Jericho here for PM and supper. Good to see them. They are going to see Brenda and Bill tomorrow with Cindy and Ethan. Sue was here for church offering. Jolie called. She wants me to go to a Tupperware party at her place tomorrow. She will come after me.

Sunny, colder. Merrill went to day care. Zack brought Jolie over to get me and our car. I went to a Tupperware party at her place. Zack got his orders changed so he was home most of day. They brought me home. Shawn Michael came with us. He is a nice little boy. Very affectionate. Merrill very tired tonight. Too much raking leaves. I made appointments for our flu shots.

Sunny. 28° low in morning. We went for groceries at noon time. We stopped at Dr. Mike’s for Aricept prescription for Merrill but he gave him a 2 month supply. He said when that was gone to come back for more free ones.

Sunny and cold 25° in morning. Up to 54° in PM. Merrill went to day care. His bus didn’t get here until 9 AM. I washed clothes. It is in tonight’s paper that Juanita’s sister, Leta Strader, 75 in Potsdam died yesterday. Her husband was James. The US Air Force Band appeared at Philadelphia Indian River Theatre tonight. Wish I could have gone to it.

Sunny warmer. Merrill raked leaves. I cleaned the floors. I washed my hair. Jim called at noon. He and Jill are going to Ohio next weekend to meet Joel. Doris H called. Winnie has been back in hospital.

Another sunny day. Aunt Maude’s 92nd birthday. She has been in Modonna Home many years. We didn’t go to church. She died about 10:30 AM today. Cheryl called to say Aunt Maude died this forenoon on her 92nd birthday. I called Pauline, Juanita, and Doris. Also Vi.

Cloudy day some rain. Merrill raked leaves. I called Jolie. She’ll take us to funeral. Aunt Maude’s obituary was in tonight’s Times. I ordered flowers from Theresa florist for Aunt Maude from Ken’s Don’s, and us. $45 plus tax and tip. Doris H called to ask when visiting hours were. Margaret K called about church food for funeral. Charles Kechle has hip operation October 31st. Lyla called in evening. She says that Winifred H 75 is real sick. He is in intensive care I Lowville hospital.

Sunny snow predicted tomorrow. Dr. Mike, flu shots at 10:30. I called Merrill’s transportation and Bonnie about Merrill not going to day care tomorrow. I talked with Jim at work. He’s coming out tonight to go to funeral home. I called Jolie. Vi called. Tina called for Syracuse number I made chocolate chip cookies.

Snow flurries one minute, sun shine the next. Cold. Aunt Maude’s funeral. 92 years old, at Theresa funeral home. Burial at Calcium. Jolie came out and took us. We came home from cemetery with Ken and Esther. We went to Kathy and David’s after funeral. Merrill didn’t go to day care. Transportation called and they can’t pick him up Friday. Ken is having an operation November 11 for his aneurisms. Merrill woke up and slept in his chair most of night. He had a very upsetting day.

Cold, mostly sunny. Snow from Adams north. I sent Steve birthday card, letter, and $10. There was a natural gas explosion on square at Woolworth’s. 2 men hurt. I talked with Lyla. She went to city and up to Carthage to get the stitches out of her face. The spot was benign.

Cloudy. A little sun Cold wind. I washed dark clothes. Jolie called in AM. Lyla was over. I gave her tickets for Patsy Cline show at city tonight. Cheryl and Marion are going to it. I sent $10 to sheriffs association for donation for them. Vivian was over. They hope to spend most of winter in Florida after Christmas.

Nice day. Set clocks back 1 hour EST. We took garbage. Went for groceries afterwards. I washed clothes. Merrill ran cleaner on carpets. Jim and Jill went to Ohio with Joel’s tires etc. to meet Joel and girl friend half way from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

A great sunny day. Lots of snow in Colorado and other states. 50°. We went to church 47 out. Lazy day. I listened to book tape. “The Diary of Anne Frank” show. Merrill raked a few leaves.

Raining. Rained all night. Warmer. Merrill very confused this morning. He thinks he isn’t home. Lyla called for addresses. I washed dark clothes. Today is Ken and Esther’s 7th anniversary. I called Jolie but she hadn’t heart from Jim or Joel.
