Great day. 73°. I washed my black and navy clothes. Washed Merrill’s tan clothes. Jim here on his bike in PM. He had mowed Cliff’s lawn. Transportation called to see if Merrill was going to day care Tuesday and Thursday. Merrill slept all night in bed. A good night. Timothy McVeigh found guilty of Oklahoma City bombing. To be sentenced Wednesday.

Another great day. Sunny all day. 75°. We took off more storm windows. We can’t find bedroom screens. Good to have fresh air in house. Merrill mowed part of lawns. Clark worked up our garden with our rota tiller. Dr. Mirza’s office called to change Merrill’s appointment from June 16 to June 18 at 10 AM. Jim called in evening on his way home to Sackets.

Sunny nice day. Merrill went to day care. I cleaned store room up stairs. Some mess up there. Took me 4 ½ hours. Clark worked our garden again. He found bedroom screens in garage that Merrill couldn’t find yesterday. Clark brought us 6 more tomato plants. Agway filled our fuel oil tank today 138 gallons at $1.049 a gallon. I called Lyla. Her bronchitis is getting better. Vern called in evening. Robin has a job teaching 1st and 2nd grade in a private school for next year.

I washed clothes. Jim B was over. He got a very low millage white sports car 1983 for an investment. Monte Carlo 55. Beliles have new siding-grey and insulation for their house. Linda has enlisted for 6 more years in reserves. She has been in 20 years. I made fruit cocktail cake. Merrill cleaned floors. Robert Congdon called. They are coming tomorrow.

A real sunny and warm day. 72° We didn’t go to church. Sunday School picnic after church today. Robert, Cheryl, and Breanne here for dinner. A nice day together. Breanne is a sweet little girl. She will be in 6th grade next year. Robert cut tree limbs in driveway. They live in Savannah. Jill called. They have a new car. Honda. Jim has to go to Korea for a year August 15th.He is also up for E=6 rating and needs to go to Enock, Missouri for 2 months to earn it so they have to make some plans for their future.

A great super day. We went to church. Not too many out. Jim called when we got home from church. He said he had stuff for a cook out and they’d be out. Jim, Sue, and Ashley came with new screen house for us. It is real nice. They set it up. Jolie, Shawn Michael, and Carmon came. Then Jill and Jim and then their friends Brian and Tonya. We had a nice time together. Joel called his dad here for Father’s day from Iowa. The four new trees in front of the church look so great. They are quite tall and are looking great.

Another great summer day. Hot. Elgin and Carmi Bowman here for dinner. Jim came over from school to eat with us. We had picnic dinner in our new screen house in back yard. Relay for Life Cancer Walk ends at 3 PM. They made over $85,000.

Elaine’s daughter had baby boy born Thursday, June 26 at 1:30 AM. Named Tyler Scott, 6 pounds, 14 ounces. Kristen Tooley has baby girl born Friday. We went out to Seaway shopping in PM. I got batteries for radio. Merrill got confused driving. Our car muffler very noisy.

Even warmer today. Great nice breeze, 88°. I washed clothes. Merrill fixed garage door. It is in tonight’s Times that Clarence Lamon, 86 died yesterday in Genesis Nursing home. He has been there a month. His wife, Gladys is Merrill’s first cousin. They never called us. Vern called in evening. Bea went to hospital today. She was having trouble breathing.

Rained during night and off and on all day. A robin flew through the side of the screen house. He was sitting on the back of a chair this morning. Music concert and fireworks at city park despite weather. Clarence Lamon’s graveside burial service at Dexter cemetery at 11:30 AM. We couldn’t go as we didn’t have a way to get there.

Cloudy, rainy, no sun all day. 70°. Jim called in morning. Jill and Jim M in California. Jim’s grandfather dies. They will be home Sunday. Jim was on TV at noon in a fire works safety display. A good job. We went for groceries in PM. We got an apple pie and a submarine sandwich for supper. The fireworks in most places rained out or the wind to strong to be safe.

Not a bad day. Sunny and windy. Cooler 70° high. I washed clothes. We took garbage. 2 weeks for $1.50 per bag. I baked lemon cake and 2 banana bread. Merrill cleaned floors. Joe Belile has worked all day alone putting new siding on this end of their house. Looks nice. He is a good worker like his dad, Gary. Pauline Roggie and Marge Thayer here in late PM. Pauline isn’t going to drive her car after July 10th. She doesn’t feel well enough to drive and her car needs lots of repairs. Vanessa Powell brought over our mail that got left in his box.

Sunny 75°. Church starts at 9 AM for summer season. We went to church. Only 15 out. Carol Savage in charge. We got gas after church. I called Lyla and left a message as she wasn’t home. Jim called. He was working for one of the guys until he left for Ottawa to meet Jill and Jim at the airport on their way hone from California. I cleaned my jewelry box and found Merrill’s jack knife. Vern called in evening. Bea still in hospital but will go home tomorrow.

Partly cloudy. Sunny in evening. Vern came after us in AM to take us to Syracuse. Here for lunch. Dr. Marc Maller 2:30 PM for Merrill. They gave very thorough tests. Nurse is Dawn, case worker. Nancy Calhoun talked with Vern and I. Very enlightening. I received much information from it. Dr. Maller talked with us also. They are all so very fr iendly and helpful. He gave Merrill sleeping pill prescription. He wants him to have blood test and an MRI. We spent night at Vern’s and June’s. They took us for ride to see new houses and boats in the harbor. Very enjoyable visit. June took her mother home from hospital.

Some sun. Raining in evening. Partly cloudy in PM. Vern brought us home from Oswego in AM. Here for lunch. We stopped at Pharmhouse and got Merrill’s sleeping pills and my eye d rops. Got sink strain board. $7.46. Merrill got hearing aids cleaned. Vivian was over. They were home from camp. June had a class on teaching. Receives 4 days of it. I gave June my church cook book. I’ll get another one Sunday for me. She lost hers. 10 ½ hour Ambient = 10 mg: I’m to keep racord for 2 weeks and then call Syracuse. Merrill took first sleeping pill at bedtime. Ambien. He slept from 1 AM until 2:30 AM. Got dressed and slept in his chair until 7 AM. He was very tired to begin with from trip to Syracuse and Oswego.

Cooler, cloudy, Sun at suppertime. I washed clothes from last two days. I sent Jolie birthday card and $10.00. I sent Bea a get well card. Also canceled accident insurance. Sent Readers Digest subscriptions. I talked with Dr. Mike Hinman about Merrill’s day in Syracuse with Dr. Maller etc. I called Lyla. She’s taking me to the dentist tomorrow. We have a drip in the valve under our toilet. Always something. 8 hours: Merrill went to bed at 8:30. Slept until 1:30. Went back to bed at 2:30 and slept until 5:30. Very mixed up during night. Tried to get out the back door to “go home”

Beautiful day. Merrill went to day care. Lyla took me to city to dentist. My teeth okay. Need to have them cleaned later. We went to see Aunt Maude. I didn’t think she knew me. Lyla took me for groceries. Jolie’s birthday. 26. I called her. She called me back. Shirley Lewis called. 9 hours: Merrill went to bed at 9:30. He woke up at 3:30, got dressed. Sat out in screen house in evening and listened to school band practice. Nice. I called Jim in evening. He was at Bill Quina’s cottage at lake. Merrill went to bed at 9 woke at 3:30. He’ll be home Monday. Ceremony at 11:30 AM for 250 returning to Fort Drum. Vern called in P. They had been to a wedding today. A fellow from church. A prayer chain going for Lois Burns in Carthage hospital. Ruptured intestine. She had colostomy. I called Margaret K. Karen L. Vi and Martha in Texas with Julie. Airplane sprayed for mosquitoes in evening. Very strong spray. Merrill went to bed at 9 PM. He slept until 2:30 AM. He was up and down rest of night. Thinking of Jim coming and church so couldn’t sleep.

Great day. Hot but cooling wind. We went to church. Elaine back with pictures of new grandson. Cute. Jim came out and mowed our lawns. Used whacker also. They look so great. Martin Landas in Carthage hospital. May have had two strokes. Jim said Joel is coming home from Iowa. Jill getting ready to move into Jims. Walt staying at Jim’s also. I called Juanita. We talked for 45 minutes. All well. Kyle with them for summer. Crystal’s car burned up. Merrill very mixed up today. He didn’t get his rest last night. He went to bed at 9:30. He slept until 11 PM. Got up and dressed and slept in chair and paced around house. Kept trying to get me to get up.

Cloudy. Some sun. I called and changed my eye appointment to Tuesday, July 29. Zackary gets home from Saini Pen. 250 troops return to Fort Drum. Ceremony at 11:30 AM. Sue and Heather here for church offering. I called Robbins Hardware to repair toilet. Tony put new value I it and tightened shut off vale on pipe. Jim had a large attendance at Neighborhood Watch meeting.

Another hot day. 86°. Merrill went to day care. Lewis County Fair starts today. Juanity and Don’s 47th anniversary. I called Helen Kiechle in PM. I warned her Merrill might show up over there as he things it is home. Lots of noise from road building past the school. Route 26 will be great to have new road there. Merrill went to bed at 9 PM. He slept until 12:15 got dressed and went back to be. Got up at 3:15 and slept in chair off and on.

Her 75th birthday is today. Lyla called and want me to go to the funeral with her. Jim called in evening. Jill getting moved in. Joel and his girlfriend have jobs in a plant. She’s in an office. Joel on shipping docks. Merrill went to bed at 9 PM. Only slept 1 hour and was up and own rest of night. He got up at 5 AM.

Cloudy in morning. 85° Merrill went to day care. Betty Hanson Belcher’s funeral at 2:30. Lyla and I went. Pauline and Judy there. Paul sat with us. Betty looked like Aunt Keitha. I washed Merrill’s clothes. I started Nielsen TV survey for 1 week. I got Kentucky Fried Chicken for supper. Merrill watered garden for first. It rained in the city this morning. None here. Merrill went to bed at 9 PM. Slept until 12:30. He went back to sleep until 2:00. He got dressed and slept in his chair until 6 AM.

Sunny in AM. Hard rain and thunder storm about 3 PM. Cooled off. I called Vi but she and Martha still in Texas. Will be there most of the week. Julie had baby girl. Much cooler. Only up to 60° High. We took 2 weeks garbage and recyclables we had. A trunk full. I went to Ron’s for groceries afterwards. I washed clothes. I received a real nice cassette player today from the New York Talking Book Library in Albany. I have not received cassettes yet. We received an announcement of the engagement of Rebecca Lee Wade and Edward Patrick Hagen. Jim called from races at Lafargeville. Jill, Jim, and kitten got moved in with him. Merrill to bed at 9 PM. Woke up at 2 but back to bed. Slept in bed until 6 AM.
