Beatrice Clark moved into parsonage with Rev. Salisbury. Cloudy day. Merrill went over town for milk and apples. Got vitamins and cream by UPS. Vern got here at 3 PM. We got Agway credit for HEAP payment, $260.00.

Vern’s left about 2 PM. John picked Steve up at 3:30. Dan had 3:30 eye appointment. Snowed a little but melted later.

Rebekah’s. I was on refreshments, salad and cinnamon rolls. I made salad and rolls for lodge. Merrill took me over as Ginny didn’t come.

Dan’s 17th birthday. A great day. Sunny, 60°. We went for groceries. Washed dark clothes. Cutways moving into McCloud house. Jill called from Audrey’s.

Jim goes to Syracuse VA Hospital, for back tests, 10:30. Merrill helped Carl Horton on trailer repairs. Slates moving in this weekend. Moving van parked at Randalls for two days. Nice day. Snow all gone.

Cloudy with rain and snow. Snowed hard in evening. Colder. June Ridsdale here all afternoon. She is having a rough time (money).

Vern called in evening. Also Noreen. We went to Sunday School and church, 65 out. Cold. Ground covered with snow again. I called Audrey. Jim goes back to Syracuse Tuesday to be fitted for electronic back brace. Joey was over.

2° this morning. Sunny but cold. Sent in my Blue Cross, $51.48 now. Wrote Vern’s and Rev. Cameron’s. He takes stress test today. Dwayne Petrie here selling candy bars for band fund.

Jim goes to Syracuse for electronic back brace fitting. Audrey called. Jim got back before noon. Bad driving. He goes back in a month for brace. Very stormy. Some schools closed. Windy, snowy and sleeting all day.

Merrill finished shoveling driveway. Snow blower wouldn’t work yesterday. Cold but sunny. Tom Berry died last night. I called several for food.

We went for groceries in AM. Sunny but cold. Still snowing in Syracuse. Orville Hale, 86 died today, Evelyn’s Uncle. World Day of Prayer at Mills Presbyterian Church for all churches. I had a part. 35 there. Mrs. Ball showed slides of Sweden and Norway. Very nice.

Used last of our wood. Sunny but still cold. Merrill called Cliff Hamilton. He will bring wood Monday. Merrill went to June’s to see what was wrong with tractor. I baked apple pie and rolls. Took UMW food to Berry’s.

Sunny. Only zero degrees today. We went to Sunday School. 47 there and Church had 70. Communion. Trustees decided to give “the Manor” one of church pianos.

Snowy, windy, wintery. Up to 30°. Washed dark clothes.

Sunny day. Wrote Uncle Berl. Cliff Hamilton brought wood, $220.00 a load. June called several time. Water pump lost it’s priming.

Wrote Vern’s. Merrill cut wood. Good to have a wood fire. June R. here. Merrill went down and cut leathers in pump for her. Ash Wednesday service at Mills but we didn’t go.

-18° last night. Cold all day. Wrote Elmer and Melba.

Still cold. We went for groceries in AM. Very cold wind all day. Merrill made pop corn in evening. Joey’s 10th birthday.

Marg Heck started playing organ and directing choir at Philadelphia Church 21 years ago today. Got pizza from Biology class, $2.55. -12° this morning.

Snowy, windy, stormy. Sunday School and church canceled because of storm. Wind let up here in evening but still bad Lowville way.

Sunny and nice today. Cold. Only up to 10°. Was -25° over night. They found lost plane at Scriba. Pilot died in crash. Missing since Thursday.

Warmer. Snowing all day. Bad other places with cars off the roads. Got letter from Vern’s.

Bible study starts at parsonage. Rebekah’s. I went to lodge. Chateau Company started insulating parsonage. Vern in Buffalo today.

We went to city. Merrill got his license renewed. Nice day. Warmer. Got groceries. Vern in Albany today. Talked with Patty from city.

I was sick in bed all day. Migraine headache.

Sunny but cold. Only up to 24° today. Washed clothes. I’m not feeling too good yet. Air brake voted to strike starting today.

We went to Sunday School and church. Rev. Clark had part in service. Jim’s here for supper. Jolie didn’t come. She spent night with girl friend, Donna Grant.

Men finished parsonage insulation. Cloudy but warm. Merrill cut wood in PM. I broke metal clip off my lower denture. Dropped tube of toothpaste on it while cleaning them. Merrill got birthday card from C Schell’s.

Cloudy and warm 40°. I called Carl. He is blind now. Sounded pretty good. Washed dark clothes. Merrill cut wood about all day. First day of spring.

Warmer, 50°. Cloudy. Merrill went to bank and store. He cleaned church. He got Birthday cards from Don and Vern’s. Also letter. Vern’s State IA Conference starts in Syracuse. He is president of it. I called Lucy Neville.

Merrill spent his 75th birthday cutting wood. He got more cards and calls. Stanley Party UMW at Aunt Maude’s. I didn’t go. June and Dan go to Syracuse IA Conference for rest of week with Vern. Made cookies

Snowed all day. We went for groceries in AM. Merrill got card and letter from Uncle Berl. He sent pictures of himself and his room.

Merrill went to dump and to Antwerp for stove pipe. Snowed all day. Merrill, Marge, Bill Burns and helpers moved church organ to lower floor. Had to remove front seats. Merrill got card and note from Gehm’s.

We went to Sunday School and church, 104 out. Several children baptized. Haggerty girl, 3 Halls, 2 Woods, 1 Demon, and Jolie Carpenter. Organ sounds nice on lower floor. Sunny. Cold wind, 45°. Jim’s here for supper. Left kids here in PM while they went to Mills to get income tax done.

Sunny but cold. Administrative council at parsonage, 12 out. Good meeting. Talked about plans to build on church.

Merrill cut wood. Marty was over. Nice day. Vern goes to Cincinnati Ohio for National Industrial Arts Conference.

Dr. Sommer’s at 10:30. Everything okay, $14.00. Will get partial repaired next month. I went to Rebekah’s, 7 there.

Storms all up the Eastern seaboard. Merrill went for groceries. I wrote Vern’s. Talked with Audrey. Patty won a 19 inch color TV. A drawing from bowling association. Terrible tornadoes in Carolina’s.

Merrill went down and got June’s tractor going for her. Warmer today.

Merrill cut wood about all day. I washed. Made cake and cupcakes. Got letter from Elmer’s. MYF had Rock-O-Thon at CEC. Made over $300.00

Beautiful day, 50’s. We went to Sunday School and church, 64 out. Hornets thick in church.

Great day. 50°. Merrill cut wood. Chain broke on saw. I stated cleaning dining room. Washed dishes and china cabinet. My arthritis hurt so I couldn’t finish.

Finished washing dishes in china cabinet. We went to Mills to get chain saw fixed. Went for groceries at Philadelphia. A beautiful spring day.

Clinic: Merrill’s blood pressure 136/83. Mine is 150/96, blood count 13. Merrill washed car. He went over to church to meet lady from State Road Department. State to take 1/6th acre of church property. Pay $300.00, and replace any damage.

UMW at parsonage. Freda and I on refreshments, gingerbread, 11 there. We finished cleaning dining room. Merrill took car to Walt Fikes for wheel bearing, $40. We went for groceries in PM. Aunt Maude gave Merrill Uncle Ray’s jackknife.

Dr. Scanlon, 10:15, all okay. Got push button phone and wire for second phone. Got element for hot water heater, $11.00. We saw Art and Doris, Terry, Pat and Dianne. Also Albert Payne. I renewed money market certificate at Marine Midland at Mills. PNG District meeting at Philadelphia. I didn’t go. 20 there.

Paper drive. Merrill helped on it. I made mince pie and rolls. Vern called in morning. They are coming tomorrow. Aunt Maude is sick with cold. Washed clothes.

We went to Sunday School and church, 72 out. Vern’s came for church. Here for lunch. June brought vegetable soup. Steve went back to college with John S. Vern’s left about 3:30. Called Jim’s. Jill had the flu.

Merrill wired up phone in living room. Trustee’s meeting at parsonage on road right of way. We started cleaning living room. Merrill called Jerry Delles.

Washed living room draperies. Merrill went to town barn to see about getting truck for Sunday School papers. They will help next week. Merrill and Wayne Huntress sprayed hornets at church in evening.
